PRIDE OF THE STARS

Also known as the Sidereal Pride, the Pride of the Stars was founded by a down-on-his-luck loner known as Star Dust. Half-starved and delirious from thirst after being kicked out of his birth Pride during a harsh dry season, Star Dust stumbled around for days and waiting for death to take him. One night, when he finally collapsed, his paws splashed into water that was not there a moment ago. He eagerly drank from the strange glowing river that seemed to appear out of thin air, gaining enough sense to peer into the water that seemed to hold the very stars themselves. Angling his head to the sky, he saw the stars twinkle back at him in their own curious language. This Sidereal River was a gift - a gift that would remain as long as he shared it with a Pride of his own. As long as the Pride remained here, the River will never run dry.

It is said that even in the daytime, if one peers into the River long enough, they can see the stars twinkling back at them. If a visitor drinks from the River, then they might hear the stars talk to them as well. As long as the lions of the Sidereal Pride drink from the Sidereal River, they will maintain a spiritual and mental connection to the stars themselves.
