Pride History

As customary, young males are often driven out of their homes, rarely joined by young females, to create their own prides. In other cases, rogue males will attempt to takeover prides and establish themselves as the new leader.

Zahir has been an older male, ousted from his pride by a stronger rogue, and left to wander the unclaimed territories before stealing a small band of lionesses. Due to his age, the old king had been unable to sire cubs upon his new queens and neglected his duties in order to enjoy the luxuries of being fed and groomed. One day, Zahir had been led astray by the scent of a new lioness before being ambushed and killed by her larger mate: Sifiso.

Clean Lions Only

To prevent inbreeding, an unrelated heir will select one lionesses of the previous ruling line which shall be bred for more royal cubs. If the heir is a chosen son, then an unrelated female shall be picked and the rest of the lionesses are to be studded/reverse bred.

The start of creating a completely clean pride:
*(Name) = Royal Cubs (aka daughters + kept sons for RP reasons)
:heir: = minor cubs of the Main Male
:breed: = lionesses for Main Male
:cross: = lionesses for studding

Pride RP Notes

- Due to long hiatus, “Emperor Sifiso” has been reset and renamed as “The Forsaken One” for dramatic effects

- Former lionesses of Zahir’s original pride: Yamikani, Ssanyu, Tariro, and Nyarai have been bred by Sifiso and killed shortly after their cubs were born; one cub from each lionesses is kept in the pride.

The Royal Leaders

Main breeding female, aka “The Queen”, along with royal offspring & selected heirs reside in this den. Previous queens will be marked and other royals will be marked and moved to other dens in order to avoid inbreeding.

Noble Concubines

Reserved mainly for NCLs, bought/traded lionesses, or uniquely bred lionesses which will either marked for reverse breeding OR to main male.

Darling Daughters

All cubs born to the pride will be moved and eventually rearranged once a new king has been rerolled

Read about attacking You can attack another lion for one of three reasons - skill, experience and territory. If you are successful with a skill attack, you will gain some experience and a small increase in skill. If you are successful with a territory attack, you will receive some experience and your territory will expand by 1 space. If you are successful with an experience attack, you will receive a big bonus to regular experience gains from a fight. A lion can only be attacked for territory once per day, and can only be attacked once every 2 hours. You cannot attack a lion who is more than 2 levels below yourself.
