Sycamore the First Great King

A large lion by the name of Sycamore tore through the forest like a hot knife through butter, this was his home. He ran about collecting things in a pile, he stopped when a lioness crossed his path. "Excuse me, who are you?" asked Sycamore.

"I don't have a name." said she. She was grey, with a few darker flecks here and there. "Well, I happen to have recently created a pride, and --" Sycamore began, but she cut him off. "You want me to join you, eh? Sure thing, big boy." The lioness replied. "I'll call you Ash." Sycamore smiled.

About 24 months later, the pride was huge and working well. Unfortunately, Sycamore had been ill, and unable to feed his pride. They attempted to catch prey for themselves, but it wasn't enough. Almost the whole of the pride left Sycamore, and he remained with a small pride.

Until, trouble was stirred

Queen Naiad the Second great Queen

A young lion, Pierre, was lying in the sun, his lovely mottled rosette marking, and Seth base seemed to glow. Sycamore, the old and greying king padded over to him “morning Pierre” the brute said with a friendly smile, “Today, you shall be crowned as the new king of my pride, as my final request please kill me in my sleep not while I’m awake.”

He padded off and sat nearest the unsorted den. Pierre went to go see Sycamore’s closest friend, Golden Boy, “Hello, Golden Boy!” He said “I’d like your opinion, I know you dislike my name and I’d like for you to help come up with a new one.”

Golden Boy smiled “Here.” He said and gave Pierre a small frog, suddenly Pierre felt a bit cold and looked around and down at his paws, tail and stared into a small puddle, he looked like a lioness! “ah, Queen Naiad, What a beautiful drag queen you are!”

King Phoenix The current King

Two young lions stood beside each other, the older of the two, "Micah", spoke up "Queen Naiad don't you think that's enough the poor cub is about to pass out." he said, gesturing to his younger opponent. The queen rolled her eyes "Don't speak for him, Micah"

The younger boy raised his head, "I'm fine Queen Naiad, I can go on!" He piped, however, the queen shook her head "No no not necessary my dear, I've made my decision."

Queen Naiad glanced back and forth between the two, the she boomed “A queen must hand over her crown,” she said with a smile “Anon, you’re beautiful, shante you stay. Micah, you're far too arrogant sashay away.”

"Anon, congratulations. You deserve a name, one that represents your fighting spirit and your ambition" Naiad announced as her pride gathered closer to listen. "Ash was our first lovely lioness, she was queen to Sycamore. Only after he found her could he truly lead, your name should honor her. After their passing I took over as ruler, I feel I've ruled us well despite my flamboyance and dramatic flair. Now comes you, my dear, let you not be ruled by the past but rise from the ashes of our history to bless this land and lead it to prosperity, let you rise King Phoenix!"

As the pride cheered Naiad slipped away, moments later she returned with a feast of berries, fruits, liquids, paints, and many other strange and exotic items. "Now I don't mean to insult you because you are beautiful, but these cosmetics should help with looking kingly." She said with a wink and a sly smile. "I must go now, rule with honesty and respect my dear, and may Seth guide your way"

Then with a flash Naiad was gone, Phoenix bowed to his pride and smiled "Let's get to work!"
