Zyrexion's Den
The sun is just rising over the horizon, bringing a new morning to the land. The gentle flow of the Great River reflects the purples, blues and oranges of the sky above. The tall cliffs that rise over the North side of the River shade the grasslands that separate the River from the roots of the tall cliffs.
Embedded in the cliff's side lay an abandoned city carved from the stone. The reddish-gray columns stand guard at the entrance of the ancient city's peak. The lower levels lay scattered below, suspended between the peak and the earth below. The crumbling stairways that connect the levels in random zig-zagging patterns are abandoned in the early-morning shadows. As the sun continues to rise and the savanna begins to awaken to greet the new day. Birds begin to sing in the sporadic clusters of trees, assorted wildlife begin to gather at the River’s edge—opposite the cliffs—to take their morning nourishment.
Suddenly, the echo of a lion’s roar scatters the antelope and gazelles and the elephants gather their young to themselves. The King and his Pride are coming awake.
