Polyphemos's Den
You walk down a stretch of wide soft golden yellow sand that borders a beautiful clear ocean and steep cliffs shrouded by dense greenery. The sea is like a looking glass, revealing the colourful creatures in its shallow depths on this glorious sunny afternoon.
After wasting time gazing at the pretty creatures swimming in the shallows, you leave the cool water, and pad curiously towards the cool shade of the trees along the cliff base, a trail of wet paw prints behind you. Suddenly, a bright flash of colour darts across your path followed by a couple more. Lion cubs playing chase in the trees, huh.
You wander further into the trees, away from the open beach, until you notice a suspicious looking patch of vines against the cliff face. You lower yourself closer to the ground, stalking closer to the vines, until something pounces on you from behind. You roll over, exposing your underside, to see the cubs from earlier. they laugh at you, before running to the vines and disappearing through them. You follow, eager to know what's behind.
you push through the vines and walk into a wide cave, with a fire in the middle, and some carcasses strewn around the edge. Five lionesses were around the fire nursing young cubs in the warmth. The pride's brood-mothers. Arches led to other caves deeper in the cliff. You could make out lionesses looking at you curiously, as you moved deeper into their den. More cubs scamper around, way more than a normal pride.
You could smell them before you saw them, the stench of freshly killed food. A group of five lionesses appeared, hauling an several large carcasses between them. Another group of lionesses leave to hunt.
You didn't know where you were going, but you found your path blocked by a pale lion looking at you with a bemused smile. He introduces himself as Vaughan.
"Any and all cubs are welcome here should you ever have any you don't want." He offers, motioning towards a larger archway, revealing a large group of cubs napping amongst beds of feathers and underbrush.
** I take in ALL cubs. Just transfer or set up a private trade. I'll pay 5 - 15 SB per cub **
