THE PRIDE OF BJΓRN IS A CLEAN-BREEDING HARD-MODE PRIDE
All lions in this pride are bred from Heritageless lions and their in-pride offspring only. No lions are purchased and only come from explore, offspring, official raffles and events.
After surviving the massacre of his pride as a cub, Vale fled into the mountains, where he nearly froze to death. As the cub shivered, huddled against some rocks and bleeding, he noticed a flickering light in the distance. He was drawn to it. Pulling himself off the ground, he limped towards the source. He quickened his pace, but the young lion wasnβt watching his footing and fell down a snowy hill, his small body tossing and flipping before skidding to a halt in the sleet that adorned the ground. βOwβ¦β the small cub chattered, squeezing his eyes shut tightly. Was he going to die here? Tears welled in the corners of his eyes when he felt a paw lift his chin gently, tilting it upwards. His eyes opened and shock filled his small body. The daedal goddess his pride had worshiped, the one he had prayed to since he was a newborn, had come to visit him.
Bellona smiled faintly at the cub, gently petting his cheek. βDo not be afraid, little one.β
Vale melted into her touch, the fear, and adrenaline melting away after being met with her grace. βAre you taking me to heaven?β
Crouching beside the cub, the light of her halo Illuminating the small area, she whispered to him, βno, dear.β She folded her wing over the child and licked his wounds, the once-bleeding gashes healing miraculously. βYou have been chosen to rebuild your kingdom, to start your pride anew as king.β
βIβm going to be a king?β Vale looked up at the winged lioness.
βYes.β She purred. βYour blood has been blessed by the Gods. You are divine.β The lioness closed her eyes, putting her paws on the young cub and moving them outwards against his flank, snowy white wings growing beneath her touch.
The flapped his wings, not able to do much with them, looking up he noticed a halo had formed atop his head. He was holy, a saint of the Gods. Vale looked down at his paws. He should be dead, if not for Bellonaβs grace he would be. βThank you, Bellona.β
He looked up again, and she had disappeared, the cold wind whistling around him. His journey was only beginning.
