The closer you get to this territory, the more uneasy you feel. You notice a stark lack of animal life; trees usually brimming with noisy and colourful birds at this time of year are nowhere to be seen and everything is eerily silent.
No young cubs are seen playing and even the bravest vultures have decided against scavenging the decaying carcass that sits in your path. You move to step around it and notice with a shudder that it once belonged to a young lioness, her body left here as warning.
As you approach the caves, you spot the king of this territory, Crowley, sitting in the shadows; keeping a close watch on his pride. A glint of madness in his evil eyes can be seen and you notice how uneasy the pride members are. Most of them are covered in scars and you wonder if Crowley was the one to inflict them. None of the lionesses make eye contact with you and you feel immense pity for the poor things. You briefly consider helping them, but another quick glance at Crowley sends you swiftly back the way you came.
