Esker's Den

      The lioness escorting you drifted from your side as the king of the pride became visible through the wave of heat distorting the horizon. He studied your relaxed stance with a thoughtful expression before nodding to himself, gesturing you forward with a tilt of his head and leading you past the natural wall of thicket.

      A refreshing cool air hits you, sounds of the light trickle of a stream and the gentle murmuring of voices all melt into soft background noise. A few cubs dash by your paws, both squealing and hurling playground insults at each other lightheartedly. You can see a lioness in the distance cup her paw around her muzzle and holler for them, but they don't seem to have any intention of listening.

      "I'm sure you'll find your way around quite alright." Your attention is drawn back to him, you notice him staring past the horizon and soaking in a gentle breeze.  "Stay as long as you need, I'm sure the cubs will appreciate a new face." Esker glanced to you with a hint of a warm smile before lazily stalking to his den to get some rest.

     You glance around the pride, who has taken no mind to your presence yet. What will you do first?
