First Encounter
One warm night you decided to have a nice stroll on your territory. As you went further from your cozy den you could feel the soft breeze against your fur, as well as fresh air filling your lungs. Nothing can ruin this night, right?
Soon enough, it became darker than usual. You only noticed that you've wandered into another king's territory when it has become harder to breathe. Not only it has become hotter, you also caught a strong smell of ash as well. You looked up and saw a countour of something resembling a volcano in the distance. Oh, so that's where the weird smell is coming from.
Suddenly, you heard a lightning strike not too far from where you were standing. Due to the hot weather, it sparked a fire very quickly. You started running, but had no idea where you were going because of almost pure darkness of the night. After some time, you stumbled upon a safe cave. At first you felt relieved, but soon enough it became clear that you weren't alone there.
You heard a deep male voice: "Are you lost, perhaps?"A pair of almost pitch-black eyes was staring at you from the dark. The mysterious figure stepped closer to you; it was a muscular Ferus with a unique coat - his fur was purple-ish, fading to crimson, dotted with small white spots almost resembling stars, as well as the bigger white spots on the tip of his tail and hind legs. For a second the stranger's appearance changed in your eyes - you could've sworn you saw a fiery crown on top of his head and blazing wings on his back. You blinked, and the strange sight was gone. Huh, that's weird.
You explained yourself to the stranger and asked for a refuge. "I see" - the male answered - "I shall provide you a stay, but when it's time for you to get out of my territory..." - he paused for a moment - "...we'll see how fast you can run" - he concluded with a menacing grin.
You left the following morning, and surprisingly nothing bad happened. Maybe that Ferus was only threatening you or maybe he just decided to spare you, you'll never know. Only then you realized that you never even asked his name. But you're certainly not coming back to that eldritch place just for this.
