The pride of Saturnine believe that way back when, at the dawn of time, two holy beings created the land in which they saunter. These two beings were goddesses, one being of the sun, and the other of the moon. They are referred to plainly as Solis and Lunae. The two goddesses are believed to be lovers, controlling the rising and setting of the sun and the moon in equal lengths. Nobody has seen either Solis or Lunae, but many are convinced that they walk amongst the mortals, and that each star in the sky is a life in which they have spent looking for each other in such desolate plains. Saturnine has lost and gained members over the years, many lionesses passing in and out. The lionesses of the pride often have sacred places in which they pray to the goddesses, often for their loved ones, but also for eternal life, if such greed overcomes them. A cub had come to Saturnine with their sick mother, after the death of said mother they were invited to stay. Many were petrified of her resemblance to which they believed Lunae had appeared. This cub was then deemed Pearl of Venice, or simply Pearl.
