♧𝕻𝖔𝖎𝖘𝖔𝖓 𝕳𝖊𝖒𝖑𝖔𝖈𝖐♧'s Den

First King:
Waning Crescent collapses on the dusty ground, stretches out his tired legs, and licks the blood off of his claws. He snorts when his daughters pounce on his tail, their mothers chuckling in the corner of the cave. Waning Crescent lets his tail go limp in little Pounce's jaws. The cub bounces around excitedly, bragging to her sisters that she bested their father. Waning Crescent smiles, glad he made his daughter happy.

Second King:
Half Light bounds into the cave, flops over, and a torrent of cubs pounce. She squeals and pushes them off, unable to keep a purr out of her throat. Her small body holds boundless energy, and she'll soon head back out, much to the cubs' dismay. Alas, there's work to be done. The elder lionesses watch her leave and nod warmly. They accept her as their king.

Third King:
As Half Light drinks from the Primordial Springs, Poison Hemlock quivers with excitement. He was born to be king, trained years for it, and now it was finally time. He stands infront of the pride—his pride; his mother, sisters, cousins, and friends. He can trace his lineage back to the time of the first king. Flowers bloom at his paws as he ushers in a new dynasty.
II. Something's changed about Poison Hemlock. He wandered into the woods one day and when he came out, he had puncture wounds like something had bitten him, and they were oozing. Darkness started creeping over him; his eyes rolled back and his mane fell out. The good king is gone and now comes the reign of disease.
III. Poison Hemlock has changed again. The disease sapped everything from his body, leaving him as small and frail as the Second King. In his dreams, on his deathbed, he heard the sea calling to him, and with his last ounce of strength he answered. Now the sea is the only thing keeping him animated.
