The land here is dry and cracked, only a small stream trickling through provides water. A large primal stretches, his orange-tinted fur glistening in the sun. There is blood caked around his paws and his jaw, he watches you without emotion. The lionesses hiss and snarl at any sudden movement, shrinking away if in fear of pain, and it becomes apparent that the only lions welcomed here are mutated in some way or another. The king lounges across a rock and surveys his lands. His smile is sadistic, his brown fur stained with blood and his claws kept long and sharp.
You spot only a single unmutated lioness who is kept in a muddy outcropping, trying her best to protect all the cubs that Ryoka tosses to the side. She is far thinner and mangier than the rest of the pride, barely kept alive. She is worthless in the King's eyes. She is only given enough food to keep her alive and in charge of the cave of unwanted cubs.
Ryoka watches as you walk through his territory. He does not move from his rock and puts out an air of calmness that is fragile and false. Beneath this faux calm is a boiling of fear and rage. Ryoka would love to have it explode, especially with you in the center of it. He is quick to lash out and even quicker to sentence death to those who displease him.
