Ferreign's Den

You slowly walked through the night, the long trek seeming to finally come to an end as you looked ahead to see the shimmering view of a watering hole. Even in the cool air of the night, you could feel your paws stinging from what used to be hot sand and dirt. Shallow pants left your snout as you just kept walking.
Until you didn't.
You stopped. There were lions here. A butt ton of lions, actually. With hesitance, you began to slowly walk again, supposing that was honestly accurate. One of the few watering holes still fresh and full? Of course there'd be lions.
What you didn't expect was that nearly all of these lions were together. Nearly all of them belong to a pride. A subordinate of whom was currently trotting his way to you.

Somewhat startled, you looked up to him. He was a surprisingly large lion, even as he respectfully bowed his head to you, his tail slowly flicking behind him. "Welcome to the Ferreign. Let me show you to the river stones, you seem exhausted." he said with a gentle voice.

Slowly, you followed, glancing around, looking among the lions and lionesses that were strewn about. the diversity of colors and features made it almost feel as if there were a few prides combined here, rather than just one.

Your thoughts were cut off by the sudden cold soothing your aching paws. It seemed the sunning rocks seemed to soak in the moonlight, reflecting it back only whoever may stand upon them. It didn't take much more to convince you to practically flop over against the cold stone. You could get used to something like this.
