PRIDE LORE

The pride was founded many years ago by Pounce The Manticore King. He was a Manticore who found his way to the waterhole where he found a pride in dry season. Who were struggling to gather food. After helping them hunt using his capturing abilities he decided to claim the pride as his own. His descendants are held in high regards. Though aren't spoiled. Despite Pounces love towards his clan he was cruel to members outside of it. And even violent. He caused a wake of blood in his path. And after deciding to make Snuggles instead of his adopted son King the new Heir King started a Civil war. Which ended with King losing the battle. Though after Snuggles still welcomed him into the pride with open arms he was shocked. And while yes, he wasn't far too loyal to Snuggles he can understand why pounce chose him. Snuggles is a sweet and kind ruler..unlike pounce who watched over the lands with an iron fist. Snuggles often doesn't mind trespassing lions. But he has a particular hatred towards hyenas. However weeks after Snuggles was made leader, Starburst the pink lioness was found dead. Tossing the clan into shock. Suddenly Whisper, who was Temptests student claimed he was told by a lioness in a dream Temptest killed her. The clan found him crazy and some said to banish him for his lie. However after he described the lioness Silk defended him, as it sounded just like Rain. She took Whisper as her student and created the Shaman role for him.

Starving Season hit the pride. Snuggles refused to eat until the pride ate. Which caused a lot of hardships for him. Unfortuately he passed away during starving season. Tangerine, A newcomer to the pride stepped up to the throne. At first the pride was weary. Especially King and Glacier. But during a Hyena attack he risked his life to save White Tiger. Earning him a spot as the prides 3rd ever king. However this wouldn't be the only death. Towards the tailend of Starving Season the pride lost Gnaw. The mate of the head huntress hibiscus.

The next season wasn't much better. A Tiger clan declared war on Tangerines pride. And during a fight the beloved Silk gave her life to defend Whisper. grabbed the TIger king and threw him off the cliff. However she fell down too. She was covered in scars that turned the water red and was too weak to swim. She was brought back to shore by whisper but it was too late. She died surrounded by her friends and family. However, the Nothern king hearing of their loss sent them Webbing. A piebald lioness. She was nervous, but took the role of broodmother. Filling in Silks empty space. The pride housed. Howl. The traveller. The pride fell for the lioness. But not as much as Webbing. When it was time to part They left her with Growl. Her cub born to the pride. Soon after Hibiscus died. The pride grieved her loss. But knew she was with Gnaw. Apple stepped up as head huntress.
