Spirits of The Wood's Den

As you walk through the thick green of the jungle floor, you catch a scent in the air that makes your mouth water. Following it, the trail leads you to find a massive, ancient lion. A shockingly normal sight around these parts. What isn't normal is the odd creature standing next to it. It looks almost humanoid, stout and wide, but its head was seemingly taken clean off and replaced with a shifting, strangely two-dimensional scribble. The lion it's standing next to turns and lays its harsh eyes on you. The... thing, also turns. In its hands is a chunk of meat, and by its body language, it's excited to see another face. It hands over the meat to a disgruntled lion, rushes over as fast as its little legs can take it, and waves "hello" with both arms. Whatever it is, it seems... nice enough. Perhaps you'd consider visiting its nearby shop?
