when she spots you, the gigantic reptile slowly lifts her head from the ground and hisses, opening her jaws to let out a low greeting, making the reeds around your feet drop dew into the wet silt-sand.
"come and go. do not stay too long."
her tail swishes and her head lowers back to the dirt, narrowed eyes watching you the entire time you're in her vicinity.
the water looks alive. best not to drink from it...
