You were quite hurt when your favorite lioness began teasing you, so you took a minute to take a walk around your territory to calm down. You're in no rush to return home, after all, you need to figure out how to talk to that lioness! Your ears pin back as you think of the situation. Then suddenly, a strange smell tickles your nose. It's a lion. By the smell, another male. Your heart rate slams into your chest as you run through a million different ways this could end. Suddenly, a face pokes through the brush in front of you.
"Hello!" It chirps. You recoil back in startled surprise. "Oh, sorry there, hombre. I didnt mean to scare you." The tone is soft and kind.
Before you can think of a response to this intruder, the stranger is already walking towards you. As he emerges from the brush you begin to notice something alarming. He is one of the largest competitors youve ever seen. He is massive with huge claws and a terrifying stance. However, that dumb smile on his muzzle tells you he doesn't mean any harm.
"I lost my way and well, ended up here!" The lion smiles brightly, flashing his sharp teeth.
"Lambert! You can't just meet random lions and think they're friends!" Another male's voice calls from the bushes. This male emerges a lot quicker. He's smaller in size. Lithe. His brown coat is littered with splotches of black but his mane is thin and scrappy. His eyes are trained on you in an distrusting manner.
"Sorry about Chile here, he doesn't really like many people." Lambert chuckles and nuzzles his head into Chile's lovingly... what? That was weird. Sub males aren't usually treated as equals. Not like that, at least. "Do you mind leading us back to our pride? You can have dinner with us!"
