The pride among the stars is a pride that can be found high in the mountains in a large gully where a lake used to be. The lake is still there, but much smaller, leaving a large hollowed out section that supports life. The area is large enough to support the large pride comfortably and then some. The pride is friendly towards anyone friendly towards them and often fosters young cubs until they are old enough to either form a pride of their own or find their pride.
