Hi there! My name is Ashika (not irl), creator of the Sordid Forest and its creatures. I'll eventually write more lore about the pride itself once I get better lions! If you couldn't already tell, I adore all things spooky and strange. Cryptids, true crime, folklore, etc. I'm pansexual and you can use any pronouns for me, I don't mind. I absolutely love writing as a whole, but lore is one of my favorite things to write. I also have ADHD and am running on 4 or less hours of sleep at any given time :D! I'm open to chat/rp any time!

Descriptions of the different Sordids (creatures) that live in the Sordid Forest! (More will be added soon)

𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝚃𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚌𝚑𝚎𝚜
They talk in undecipherable whispers :D

The Twitches make up most of the Sordid forest. They are usually the shadows you see move out of the corner of your eye, or the cause of you feeling like you're being watched. They don't cause any harm to lions and are relatively peaceful (compared to other Sordids) to humans as well. Their only desire is to make humans scared. They feed off fear or emotions similar such as unease and paranoia. Mostly they observe from the shadows, so not much to worry about. They are smarter than they seem though. Through observing, they learn new and more effective scare tactics from fellow Sordids such as twitching and grinning. They took quite a liking to twitching, hence the name. They have the body of a human and even the average human height, but are all black and shadowy. They have regular-sized glowing white eyes, and some form a mouth simply to smile.

These guys are the first creatures I designed! There are only a handful of them, which means they have to be efficient. And they are. The Deliris name comes from the word delirium which means both a disturbed state of mind and wild excitement which fits the Deliris perfectly. These little joys always have a toothy smile on their face and death on their minds! Anyways! They have large eye holes (I say that because they have holes for eyes) and a nose similar to that of a skull's nose. They also have a human-like body, except taller and skinnier with longer limbs. They have long, curved scythes as hands which are loosely based on a praying mantis. Knowing all this, you might think they're mindless killers. But you're wrong! They can smell a human from miles away and can easily determine if they are good or bad. To them, people are either good or bad. There's no in-between. If they scent a good person, they might protect them from other Sordids who don't care if the person is good or bad until the person can safely leave. But. If they scent that the human is bad, they start laughing maniacally. They're excited for dinner.. heh- Thankfully they aren't harmful to lions! Most of the time! There are rare cases where a stranger lion makes it into the forest off the trail and a Deliri scents that the lion is 'bad'. Apart from that, Deliris love to play! They are always finding new ways to tease the Sordid lions and always invent new games!

Unlike the previous Sordids listed, Bellicose is a singular being. There are currently no other creatures like her in the Sordid forest. She was not made by the creator of the Sordids yet always felt at home in the forest. No one knows the name of her species, she refuses to tell and simply wishes to be referred to as Bellicose. She is an extremely malicious creature. Humans are her preferred food, though if given the chance she will feed on anything that has a heartbeat. This makes her extremely dangerous to lions as well as humans, so be careful. However, members of the Sordid Pride are her only exception. She is surprisingly protective of the lions in the forest and even goes as far as calling them her 'children'. Bellicose's appearance is far different than any other Sordid as well, she is plainly an over-sized black widow spider. Stretching from the top of her abdomen is a long extension of her exoskeleton that resembles a severed spine. At the end of this is a fake yet almost identical female human head with long "hair". Additionally, Bellicose's voice is able to be understood by most mammals. The spider can even contort the "head" to make it look as if it's speaking to her prey. She releases pheromones that make the "head" appear more attractive. Then, when the victim is close enough, she pounces. But by then, the human has already unknowingly stepped onto her web. Other than her intelligence and other obvious things, she has all the attributes of a normal black widow spider. Her ability to sense vibrations and her strong sense of smell make up for her poor eyesight.
