The jungle lands here are lush and plentiful. Food is bountiful and water is always available, even during droughts. A clearing sits in the middle of the trees. All the lions who dwell here seem content. There are two caves, quite close together, both furnished beautiful. Comfortability seems to be the priority here.

But on the other side of the clearing, alone, is another cave. Dark vines drape down from the top, covering the entrance. Outside, some bones are scattered, looking rather innocent. A large lion sits outside the cave, rolling a small skull across the ground.

He shakes his mane, and raises his head. His sharp horns and pointed ears say that he isn’t only lion blood. He blames what he is on the lion who was king before him. That king was greedy and wanted him to be strong and ruthless.

He was that. He was strong and ruthless, but he was also kind to his own lionesses. He protected them with his life, and the many scars on his body attested to that. But to outsiders who challenged him, he was violent and ruthless, showing no mercy. But to those who showed him kindness or meant no harm, he was kind to.

His tail thumped on the ground as he sat looking over his territory. He was combing these lands into the perfect territory for himself and his lionesses, and he was proud of it.

He was welcoming to visitors, as long as they respected him. And most of them did.

“Welcome to the jungle territory of Axios! All are welcome here, unless you harm me or my pride!” The lion roars, shaking his mane.
