..You've made it. It was a long journey. You collapse, the scent of freshly fallen rain filling your nose. Green grass and tall, healthy forest surrounded you. You notice a pride in the distance-- undoubtedly where Evander lived with his people. You lay where you are, hungry and tired. A shadow suddenly moved over you. A few gushes of air, then a soft thud. Two paws- no, four- had landed right before your sleepy eyes. The lion introduces himself as Evander, which.. surprises you. He's not as large and imposing as many ancient texts described. Infact, height wise, he's barely a head taller than yourself.

He asks for your name and where you come from. After you tell him, you're welcomed into the pride as a visitor and showered in gold adornments, aswell as a variety of beetles and food to choose from. Evander suddenly tells his pridemates to leave you alone with him for a while, which they do. He asks about his brother, Narcissus. How he is. How you fared in his rotting, dead lands. You two talk for a while, and soon, you find Evander to be deep in thought. You decide not to explain Narcissus' request, why he sent you here.

Will you follow Narcissus' orders and kill his brother? Will you befriend Evander and bring prosperity back to Narcissus' stolen kingdom?

You slowly approach the winged lion as he stares off, contemplating.
