~ Lafia ~

The air is dry, stirring with the whispers of distant prey and the rustling of unseen critters in the long grass... Each breath filling your lungs with the sun-baked warmth of wild herbs and spices crushed underfoot as you pad forward...

It has been a long journey to reach the savanah - nevertheless, the landscape that unfolds before you is breathtaking and, you think, worth what it took to get here. A wild breeze rustles your mane, carrying with it the scent of a stranger: Kafa, the king of this territory. Though it has not been long since his arrival, his scent permeates this place - mingling with the golden stalks and thorny acacia trees dotting the landscape.

You stop and flick your ears forward as you catch the faint rustle of movement somewhere ahead - uncertain if it's simply the shifting of shadows in the high grass or something more. Your instincts sharpen. Muscles tensed, you crouch - lowering yourself into the land's camoflauge as the breeze shifts once again... There, in the distance, a lone lion stands against the horizon; his cold-fire silhouette blending into the sky above as you feel his gaze meet yours. Unblinking. Knowing. A silent invitation to rise and step freely into his realm...
