There once was a beautiful oasis full of growth and water, covered by vines to protect the sacred water from predators.
The only carnivore that walked that green oasis was a simple prince, Keyburi.
He found the place when he was only a year old, chased from his pride by vicious Hyenas and was forced to run, eventually finding the secret place, and vowing to only hunt outside the oasis, so no herbivores inside where harmed.
Keyburi was raised and protected the animals that lived there. But one day a dangerous male lion cub appeared outside the shrubs, his family taken by vicious hyenas as well.
The animals of the oasis wanted to get rid of the cub, but Keyburi felt empathy for the young cub, begging to raise him, in which the animals agreed, but never really trusted him for being a threat; he was a primal fangs. This king would soon become: Makuu.
Makuu knew he had to earn the oasis’ trust. When hyenas broke in, Makuu planned a raid, but never mentioned he would take out their leader during the raid, risking his life and not telling anyone so no one could stop him, guaranteeing the oasis animals survival.
Miraculously, Makuu lived, but a great price was paid, Keyburi died saving him. The oasis animals accepted him and in his and Makuu’s honor, they allowed more lions, only if it was Makuu’s legacy, to live in the oasis.
And for years, Makuu would build his large pride, soon to become the present pride today, Keyburi’s Pride.
