Rauren's Den

Rauren King, before leading a pride out of the Deep Desert and to a new home, was known as Rauren Speaker. In the Deep Desert, he was never known as the greatest, strongest or bravest lion, but his charisma and willingness to speak his mind were never in doubt. When lions of the Deep Desert begin murmuring amongst themselves about an intent to leave, Rauren knew this was something that needed to be captured and propelled. This was how Rauren became the defacto leader of the pilgrims, and it was he who led them out of the Deep Desert which had been their home since time immemorial.

Therefore he became known as Rauren King, and took the stoic Viveki Acacia as his first mated queen. Other lions have since joined the pride of the Deep Desert, and Rauren revels in his new privilege as king.

When the lions of the Deep Desert prepared to leave, amongst them were three lionesses planning their new life. These three lionesses were Ghani Seer, Alia Coam, and Ghola Darktail. Rauren Speaker was a useful tool, a voice to take point on their journey out of the Deep Desert, and it surprised all three when he named himself King. For now, the three decided that he would be allowed to serve as leader.

Three more of their sisters later followed from the Deep Desert, cubs in tow. These sisters were Lady Malerei, Lady Kai Star (and her cub Nighthold Star) and Tyeka Stormborn (and her cub Tyo Stormborn); they have joined this inner circle. Dalia Paradise, Morning Majesty and Sunlight Royal were also among the original lionesses who followed Rauren, and are the most favored of the king for their beauty. As well from the original Desert Dwellers were Aurumi Silva, Lichna Ivy, and the cub Kausa Amethyst.

Koa Vulpine, Marble Speckle, Swirl Dapple, Lancel Mist and Ezra Scourge are new to t he pride, as well as some lionesses yet to earn honored names and the strange lioness only known as Z.

Currently it is unknown if Rauren King intends to allow Atreides Noir, the eldest boycub, to remain with the pride as he grows, and whether Rauren King means for Atreides Noir to be his successor. It also remains to be seen if the inner circle of sisters will allow another king to rise. Alia Coam hopes to mother a cub who will be the next king. Swirl Dapple and Marble Speckle have both born newborn sons who may compete in turn. Ghani Seer intends to groom Irulan Sol into a fitting princess and mate for Atreides Noir so power will not go to the male heir alone.
