You find yourself upon the lands of the Dark Gemini tribe; second sons of the Leonid Stars tribe, started by Astrod's brother, Ernhesti. The lands here seem bathed in perpetual darkness with brilliant stars overhead, but this is merely because they lay within the shadow of a great mountain. The lions here are very adept at hiding in the darkness and ambushing their prey when they've found them, however, despite the darkness of their land, they are not all what they seem.

Legends among the Dark Gemini Tribe are brought down from the stories told by the elders of the tribe from which Ernhesti came; there are names to be given to the lions and lionesses of his tribe; always in letters of eight, and always accompanying their pride duties. Those split off from the Leonid Star tribe are easy to tell from the Dark Gemini with their six-letter names and their odd ways; however both tribes have formed a pact; family looks out for family.
