One more suggestion from me.

Many who are on the phone or tablet always are faced with extra long loading times and freezes when the device just cant take it, especially the large amount of pictures. I myself am on the tablet often and if I wasnt stubborn, I wouldnt even visit Lioden at that time, because just setting up my lionesses to hunt takes me more than 5 mins, let alone explore my 100 energy where battles pop up and lionesses.

However, in the past weeks the new layout was introduced to the site which was supposed to make the site more mobile friendly. But truth is.., it only made the layout less PC friendly. Everything is huge, and one needs to zoom out a lot to play comfortably on a PC to such an extent that I can barely read anything in favor of having important buttons visible. The placement of important buttons and maps is still wrong, one has to scroll a ton on both PC and tablet, no matter how much zoomed out you are.

One cannot make a site both PC and mobile friendly. One has to choose or both will feel uncomfortable.

It can be a pain. And it is.

In short:
Mobile and tablet devices just cant take Lioden's current design and constantly lag, freeze or the server times out because of the slow load. Exploring and taking care of lions is basically impossible and takes extra long even with the new layout. The new layout is also too big and the site organization is still off.

Solution:
Create a mobile-optimized version next to the current website, perhaps with the address of:
m.lioden.com
or something. Many other sites use this option and they have happy members.
Make the normal website optimized for PCs, so we can play comfortably, and make this new version compatible completely for mobiles/tablets.

What would the mobile-optimized site contain:
Basically it would be an extreme basic version of the game itself, not the entire site.
- Chatting, forum, everything on the side of the screen would be moved to a new page, away from the side of the screen to not cause additional loading times when people dont want to chat.
- Pictures should be removed from everywhere, only leaving them at your own lions.
- Your lion's stats perhaps could be displayed as % instead of bars at the top of the screen or something, to reduce picture loads.
- Buttons would be bigger. The map would be replaced with larger buttons as well, perhaps baring the corresponding picture of what they stand for,
Only these few things would reduce lag on phones and tablets greatly.

Feel free to suggest more things or change.

Thank you for reading.

I do enjoy looking through the chatter, but this is a great idea!

I like it but.. I think that it shouldn't be a compulsory thing. I spend all day every day on my tablet, so it would be a big downside if we had no choice.

That is all I am saying, support. :)

I'd really super appreciate a mobile version so very very much as I'm a flight crew and always on the go, but I love me some lioden!

Support. I mostly play from my tablet and I too think that it would be great to add some mobile optimization. Maybe even not an app or separate mobile domain but optimization of the desktop version rebuilt to mobile interface when user browses from a touch device.

To add to this, I've been struggling with the territory map when I'm mobile. Tablet's don't really have a "hover over"option without clicking, so I find myself clicking on tons of territories that are very large when I don't want to attack anything that large...
Waste of time. :(

I agree with this, definitely, being on an iPad. It's annoying, because too the website resizes/reloads every time I go to another page. On hunting I have to wait 3-5 seconds for it to straighten itself out, then I can pick out a hunting spot without the website moving a little and making me pick what I don't want.

Totally support. I frequently check on my lionesses from my phone, and the page loading/resizing is pretty annoying.

I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally bought stuff from the monkey shop, when I was trying to tap on junk from the dropdown menu to sell it... but it lagged and purchased butterflies instead. xD

Luckily they resold. I'd be annoyed if that ever happened with all the GB buttons all over the site... Auto-claim this NCL for 2 GB when you're trying to Shake Mane, or skip this cooldown for 1 GB... I wait in fear for the day when I hit one of those, and it's not something that could be easily resold.

A more mobile-friendly version could be nice (or at least add purchase confirmations.)

Edit: Just did it again, I really should stop looking at the monkey while on my phone... Got an accidental Cleansing Ichor. And there's already 10+ on branches being sold for much less than in the shop, which shows me people just want their sb back, so they were all probably accidental purchases. It wouldn't be so bad if we had a Sell Back option on the monkey.

I almost exclusively lioden from my phone, I haven't had a problem. I feel like I would rather have that time and effort put towards more site feature/events...

Having to navigate back to explore after a fight/lioness is annoying whether on a mobile device or an actual computer.

I have this suggested here:
http://www.lioden.com/topic.php?id=14654

And someone else has it here :)
http://www.lioden.com/topic.php?id=11416

But I don't support yours entirely... I think all features should be availible, just on a different format. Like take chicken smoothie for example, everything is still accessible, just with a better format for phones and tablets :)

the second one is actually this very same suggestion lol

Anyway, I think some features of the site are causing slow loading speed on phones and tablets. And you cannot truly compare Chicken Smoothie to Lioden, since it doesnt have the chat visible and its gameplay features are entirely different. That is an adoptable site which doesnt need gameplay, which means that it has way less coding.

But if you are to put Lioden on a mobile app, then you would have think very carefull what to put into the app itself, or else it will be just as slow as if you are playing on the normal site. A mobile optimized site always has way less features than the normal site for a reason. And considering that Lioden has a lot of coding and features in the basic game itself, it would be smarter and more effective to leave out some things in order to make it function.

Just as a comparison: I have trouble loading Chicken Smoothie on my new tablet even on the mobile version. Mainly because all the features are visible, maybe a few pics were removed and the buttons grew bigger but everything else is the same. So the loading time was not reduced effectively.

For effective loading speed decrease, one needs to remove a lot from a normal site. For example chat or the whole forum. Or also give the forum a separate mobile optimized site, which is not included on the app.
