Okay, so. I spent MONTHS making my king a dreamboat. It took forever, and a LOT of years of his life. Then, without thinking about this fact... I retired him early and now I'm stuck with a level one male with 0 Impression. So, all of that Impression I worked extremely hard to get is now all gone.

So I basically paid 10GB to lose everything I worked for. YAY.

I think we should be able to keep Impression Progress when our males retire, or AT LEAST most of it.. maybe bump it down one or two levels, but not all the way back to Barely Noticable!

That's make things a lot easier and less of a pain in the ass for players who worked pretty damn hard to get all that Impression Progress.

It doesn't make any sense to keep the impression. After all, it's a completely different lion. Levels and everything go back down to zero, and that should be expected because he's a brand new king. I'm currently on my 4th king so I guess I understand the frustration with having to regain all of your impression levels, but if you do a lot of exploring and claim every lioness you come by [and just chase the lioness afterwards if you don't want her] then it honestly doesn't take all that long.

o.e I'm iffy on this. It's a new male thing, they're gonna be diffrent.

Maybe MAYBE if there was a price to keep all the impression. Like, a 2 GB fee? Or you pay 1 GB per two levels of impression that you want to keep?

But I think it's unfair to make us pay TEN FREAKING GB to LOSE all of our progress. I think if you pay TEN GB for the early retirement, you should be able to keep your Impression. Or maybe add a small extra price to keep Impression or something.

In my opinion it might make sense to start with a slight impression boost if your new king is a direct descendant of your previous king, or was the sub of the pride for a while. After all he'd gain impression patrolling and being from a distinguished lineage?

A small extra price, I could agree with!

But you chose to retire him early, so I don't really see what point you're trying to make there. :/

I think that allowing people to pay extra GB to keep impression would just take a lot of the challenge out of the game. It'd give those who gave GB even more of an advantage over those who don't. And even though I often buy GB with real money, that is what I think would be unfair.

But the thing is they don't MAKE your pay 10GB, that's an option for you and you decide if you want to redo it all early. It can be frustrating, but that';s what makes the game fun- going and fighting the NPC's and claiming the ladies.

You're paying 10 gb for the privilege to have a NEW male with some looks or stats/money making capability that you clearly wanted so badly over your old king that you had him step down early.
You're not paying 10 gb JUST to lose your progress, there has to be a cost with that kind of benefit. You have the ability to change your king whenever you want so long as you pay the fee, the downside to this is that you have to work to get back certain things like level and impression.
Both of my kings are at Dreamboat level and I'm itching to retire both of them because their replacements are better by leaps and bounds, so I'm find with losing impression and lvl to get that.
Besides, leveling up is now better than ever and you can pull quests and take on fights to quickly get back impression. The greatest upset is that if you don't work fast enough you might lose a shot at one of the raffle lionesses.

The point is, you're basically paying to lose all of your progress. Sure, you get a new lion, but it's like you are paying money to lose something.. you don't really gain anything from paying that 10GB, you just lose everything you worked hard for, and maybe get a few stats and a new coat. ._.

Plus, when I retired my male, I forgot about losing Impression progress >w> If I had been thinking about that at the time, I would have never retired him. :/

Actually what you gain from paying that GB is possibly increased stats and a better looking lion. If you chose to retire your lion early then that was YOUR choice, you honestly should've researched what happens and weighed the pros and cons before you spent all that GB.

"The point is, you're basically paying to lose all of your progress. "

But you aren't.... If you're paying to retire early you're clearly doing it for a reason that is more beneficial than keeping the old male.
Otherwise you had no reason to retire him early...
You're making new progress by having a male who is in some way better than the last one earlier than you logically should.
Yes, you lose impression and levels.. but right now we have an event going on that is effectively pouring out EXP (broken drones), a new mini game that rewards EXP items at certain tiers (coconuts).

Yes, Impression can be a pain in the butt to get back.. but when you retire a horse from racing his replacement isn't automatically awarded all the prizes the old horse had..

Sure this isn't real life, but these draw backs also help keep down power creep. Otherwise the players with a lot of money would raise up a rolled lion to Dreamboat and then auto retire him to get looks, stats, AND keep all his level and Impression benefits.
Talk about crazy super lions! Plus the leader board would never rotate... :/

Whoever had the stop slot would automatically retain their position on the leader board upon retiring their old male even though now they have a 3 year old king. think about it like that.. A 16 year old dream boat, lvl 25 lion retires... to a 3 year old lion with better looks who is automatically level 25 and a Dreamboat.

Is a balancing mechanic.
now mind you.. I wouldn't mind if a lion's level wasn't auto reset to lvl 1 when t takes over a pride.. because my heir is already lvl 5, thanks to bunny tunnels, and he's going to drop to lvl 1 when he takes over.

It is a new lion, it can't keep the old lion's thing. I'm already glad enough we can keep our old king's look.
Impression is something you should work on. For every new king.
You're not paying to lose your progress, you're paying to early replace your king with a boy that can have high stats, special base and marks, etc, and you CHOSE to early replace him. You can do it for free just by waiting.
It won't make sense to keep the old king's impression. It's like if every cub was born with the mother's level or I don't know. Each lion have to work out.

I don’t support, isn’t it quite boring to just have a dreamboat lion one after the other? This is a lion SIMULATOR assuming it is to be as realistic as possible while still being a web game. In real life a lion wouldn’t be the hot stuff sweet talker the minute his dad dies, imagine him never talking to any lionesses or not exploring, he’s still 2 but hot stuff? Nah.

No support.
It will make claiming lionesses and trying out for the Special Lioness way too easier.
And since it is a new king, it wouldn't be near Dreamboat at all, as he has done nothing significant at all.
And we aren't paying to have all our progress reset, that was your decision.
You don't have to pay to retire, you can just him reach an old age and choose the next heir that way.

I'm not sure why it's taking so long to get your impression up but I recently retired my male and had my new king at dreamboat in a littler over a week. It's never been THAT hard and keeping your impression doesn't make sense because in the eyes of the game your new king is a whole new lion, despite how you retired him, so why would he keep any of the work or benefits earned by the previous king?
