First let me say that I love, love, love all of the dynamic backgrounds, and that whimpering noise you hear over in the corner is my bank account, flinching in anticipation of what might happen to it if this idea (or something like it) is taken up. ^^

I would love to own one or more of all of the backgrounds, and would already, if only the lions looked more like they belonged there when the backgrounds are in their nighttime states.

I've noticed that the NPC characters all have "nighttime" images and I really wish something like that was possible for our lions as well. I know they can't be redrawn -- well, recoded -- to show more blues and greys at night, as that would totally bork up, well, everything, but would it not be possible to code something like a filter or a foreground or something that would add that color cast to the lions?

In order to make it possible for visitors to that particular lion to see its normal coloration there would probably need to be a button or some such to allow the nighttime coloring to be toggled on or off, but aside from that, I haven't been able to think of any other problems with this idea.

Which doesn't mean there aren't other issues with the plan. There probably are, so please, feel free to mention them.

So, what say you? Good idea? Bad idea? Worst idea EVER? Lemme know. =D

That would require immense amount of adjusting artwork and strain on server, making it lag even more :(

@Xy not necessarily, if you use a blue transparent overlay over just like lions base (Or over the whole image) it could work without too much strain. Then again idk anything about coding
