I believe the current Trade Center could use some improvement. I've included my ideas for proposed changes below; please tell me your thoughts! If you don't agree with any of them please tell me why, and if you do agree or have anything to add feel free to chime in as well. Opening Page: lists most recent and/or hottest (high bid amount) trades of all categories. This would give a nice summary of the current trade market. The opening page would have links to category pages as well as the links to creating/managing your own trades/transfers. The user specific search could also reside here. Category pages: Decors. Food. Toys. Other. Lions. Currency. No need to force players to choose a category, just base it on what's in the trade itself. Trades can belong to more than one category. This way a player that just wants to buy food doesn't have to search for specific food items and hope that someone is selling that particular item. This also allows people who have a random food items for sale to be easily found. This allows for more organization as well. Place the Search Item Trades box in the Trades category (and such for the Lion search box as well). Title Search: The ability to browse categories makes not having this function sting a bit less, but it would still be quite handy. I would not suggest having it by itself however. Searching for "Food" would return results ranging from "Selling food" to "Trading Lioness for Food." It would be potentially clunky to sort through without the aid of categories. Trade Bump: At this time I haven't put a lot of thought into whether a thread should be bumped every time someone places a bid on it, or if it should have the option to be bumped by the seller. It may not be as an important or desirable feature once things are more organized and easier to find. This one gets mixed support, and I personally hope that the other changes make this not as necessary. The following were brought up within the thread by other players. Multiple Pages for Search Results: Suggested by The Rabid Bilby, and honestly a sound suggestion. Being able to view more results allows for more options and more opportunity to sell an item/lion that may otherwise be unviewable due to being off the page. Renew Trades: Suggested by Frostfall. The ability to renew trades when they reach the end to prevent massive amounts of relisting (I would also say this would pair well with the ability to edit buyout prices). Mass Item Listing: Suggested by Galaxis. Honestly being able to plug in the number of items in a particular stack you wish to list instead of checking off individual single items would be amazing for people trying to post dozens or even hundreds of an item like feathers or skulls. |

Support ^^ Another update that's needed is for either the search function to show multiple pages of results, or show the results newest to oldest, rather than oldest first. ![]() |

I support everything but the bumping of trades. People will get bump happy and take control of the first page and get all the money. while the people following rules wont. ![]() |

Multiple pages in search results would be amazing. I'm honestly hoping that bumping trades becomes unnecessary if trades are easier to sort through and find. ![]() |

There are no rules about bumping and I personally would love to be able to bump trades that fall back like... 5+ pages in a single day. There's no rules for bumping topics because it isn't really a problem and there doesn't need to be any for trades either IMO. Besides just because someone were to bump their trade doesn't mean they'll be guarunteed more money. You can bump a trade with a NCL till you're blue in the face but that doesn't mean it'll get bought at all. It depends on what's in the trade rather than it's place on a page. ![]() |

I'd personally love to see a "Renew Trade(s)" feature, where you can choose to renew a trade or a group of trades that are getting close to the 30 day mark so you don't have to go through and retype everything and remember which things you had up for trade. It might help those who put a ton of lions up for trade, or those who are mass-selling specific groupings of items from their Hoard. ![]() |

I just created a trade with 75 feathers. Putting many items in a trade is a horror... It should looks different - we choose an item [like "Bulk Trade-Ins" in the Monkey Shop] and then write how much of this item we want to put in a trade. So for example if we have 150x Hornbill Feathers, we will choose "150x Hornbill Feathers" and then say "75" - and we will create a trade with 75 hornbill feathers! ![]() Edited on 21/10/14 by Galaxis (#38333) |

I totally support this suggestion. Having a better, more organized trading post will definitely improve the site. I especially would like to see Category Pages and Multiple Pages, and I'm honestly kind of surprised that these things haven't already been implemented. ![]() |
