I draw wolves myself. Or, if I'm feeling lazy, I get people with styles I like to do them for me. I haven't commissioned roleplay art in a long time, so I don't really have an artist yet.

Also, I'm gonna go with it being a little over a year. I wrote up a really quick rough draft.

The post that made me want to write it out:
Rowan shook his head.
"No. Nirvana and I are full-blooded Notte wolves."
Rowan paused, trying to remember the story.
"Nirvana and I had a fallout a long time ago. He left Notte for good and went to Lupi."
The male glared down at the black-furred brute. He had been right. Right? Justice was the important thing. You couldn't just kill in cold blood...

To know the full story, what happened between the brothers that were once so close, you must journey back 2 years...
This is what I've been working on. It's very rough, and I'll need approval of some ideas. It can always be changed.
Also, I like commas. A lot.

"Nirvana! Come back!" The silver wolf stopped, his black nose pointed towards the sky, quivering slightly as he searched for his brother. Though, it was not a trail of scent he was following. Rowan was searching for the thoughts of one wolf in a vast array of thoughts, from creatures as small as frogs or as large as deer. Rowan concentrated, latching onto a trail that seemed more sentient than the others. That of a wolf.
The thoughts were faint, meaning they were being partially concealed. The young wolf frowned. Nirvana knew how to hide his thoughts from Rowan, wrapping them away in an impenetrable shield. Why was he letting a few escape?
Ah. He was playing his games again; the black wolf would be waiting in ambush for Rowan as soon as he reached the destination that was echoing across the mind of his brother.
But Rowan wouldn't be fooled this time so easily. Ever so quietly, he crept closer, the thoughts growing louder and louder as he neared the creek until they snapped off, the wolf feeling the all-too-familiar wall build up instantly.
Rowan whirled around to see a rock hurtling toward his muzzle. He batted it out of the air and leapt, landing in a cloud of dust on top of his older brother, whose laughing ice-blue eyes matched Rowan's.
"You figured it out." Nirvana said, grinning. Rowan huffed. "Of course I did. Your little trick won't work on me twice. Besides," His ear flicked. "What would add sat if he knew we were out here alone? He's been stressed for days after they found that loner's body, and then that Lupi wolf. He thinks there's a killer on the loose."
The silver wolf shuddered, shaking the leaves from his pelt. Their father was too protective. Some of the grown wolves said he was this way because of their mother's death. That when that rabid loner broke into the nursery, it snapped something inside of him. Every wolf in the pack knew he would do anything for his pups.
Suddenly, a flash of brown flew from the bushes, knocking over both Nirvana and Rowan. They stared up into the triumphant green eyes of River, their litter-sister. "Got you!" She smirked, letting them stand up. "Oh, father knows you're out here. He sent me to come get you. You're in trouble." The brown she-wolf taunted, nipping Nirvana's ear lightly.
"Fine." Both brothers sighed simultaneously, letting themselves be led back to camp by River, whose constant rambling about how much trouble they were in kept them from feeling too guilty for disobeying their father.
"Where are they?" A bellow came from Creek as he barreled out of the den, ears back and fur bristling.
"Right here, father." River's bright eyes narrowed as she glanced sideways at her once-strong brothers, who were now cowering under Creek's rage as he scolded them.
"You could've been killed!"
"Nirvana, you should be more careful when you're flying things around!"
At last, their father stepped back, his anger slightly quelled. "You've almost missed your ceremony." The yearlings' eyes widened in shock.
River darted forward from where she had been sitting smugly. "Yeah, Killian called the meeting ages ago." Their sister's words seemed to have a diminishing effect on the brothers' egos, and they walked over to where the rest of the pack was gathered without saying a word.
When it came time for them to choose the path they were to follow after a long, discursive speech, it was a surprise to the pack that they all wanted to train as hunters. Surely, Nirvana, the largest one that had always shown interest in fighting, would've chosen to become a guard to-be? But what was said was said, and the guards of the pack walked away, envious of the hunters and their seemingly endless ranks. And now they were to have three more recruits.
By the time that three had finished their training, they were already a year and six moons old. It had been a long time since the killer that had taken the lives of a Lupi wolf, a loner, and their mother had struck. All was quiet until one day Creek came back, battered and bloody, with the body of Aina, a friend of his.
"It was awful. The wolf jumped out of nowhere, and jumped on her, breaking her neck." The brown-grey wolf nodded towards the odd angle at which the dead she-wolf's head was laying. "He came after me after he made sure Aina was dead." Their father let out a whimper as he nosed the body of his fellow guard. "I got in a good snap to his ear, tearing it off, I think."
The pack peppered him with questions.
"Who was it?"
"What pack?"
"Was it a Rabid wolf?"
But Creek shook his head, saying that the wolf had moved too quickly to tell, and that his scent had been a mix of both packs and the loner territory.
Notte was worried. The packs were on the brink of war, with tensions high, and now the killer was back?
A moon passed from then. Every wolf was on their guard, no matter Notte, Lupi, or lone. No sign of the mysterious murderer had been seen, and this added to the growing tension between the two packs as they shouted accusations at each other at every gathering. The Lupi remembered the death of their Beta female from so long ago, and Notte mourned the yearlings' mother and Aina.
Nirvana and Rowan couldn't be separated. They spent every moment together, their brotherly bond growing stronger by day. They went on patrols together.
All was well, until the day when Creek and River were gone.
"Over here! I think I have a trail!" Said Rowan, concentrating hard on the strongest fear-thoughts in the forest.
Nirvana said nothing, only nodding, and the two brothers followed the trail of thought.
"It stopped." Rowan said, his hackles raising. "Hold on, I've got a scent." His brother's pink nose twitched. "Blood." They took off at a sprint through the woods until reaching the river.
She was laying by the riverside, her cinnamon fur ruffled softly by the breeze. The brothers could see how River had died; her throat had fang-marks and was slowly trickling scarlet, turning the fur around her neck a maroon.
"We have to find who did this." Nirvana said without wasting a moment.
"No, idiot." Rowan snapped, the sight of his sister having clearly driven him over the edge. "We have to get help."
Nirvana, though taken aback by his brother's sudden short temper, raised his head to the sky and let out a howl, alerting the pack to their location.
"She was the first to figure it out."
Came a soft voice that made both Nirvana and Rowan jump.
"Father! Are you hurt?" Nirvana wagged his tail and took a step toward Creek before Rowan cut him off with a paw. He followed his brothers eyes towards his father's snout, which dripped with blood.
"It was you all along." Rowan said, his voice flat.
"Yes. It all started with your mother. I didn't mean to, she and I were just arguing, and well..." Creek trailed away, his dark eyes fixed between them on the body of River. "I found that I quite enjoyed it. About a year later, I brought down a loner and a Lupi she-wolf. Then, poor Aina..." Their father's expression showed no sign of remorse, which made their hackles rise.
"You brought the packs to war!" Nirvana accused, his blue eyes flashing.
Creek shook his head. "No. There was a prophecy, around the time you were yearlings, so I heard. It didn't have much to do with me, but it seemed to enrage the alphas enough as it was."
He looked down a his paws. "I couldn't let River tell them. Not that she would. I'm afraid I can't let you go either, now that you know."
With no warning, he leapt into the air, his bared fangs headed straight for Rowan's neck. The silver wolf would have been killed at that moment, his body with a broken neck splayed beside his sister's, if a small projectile hadn't whizzed its way towards Creek in midair. The wolf crashed to the ground, the flying rock having gone straight through his head at the command of Nirvana.
At once, the black wolf was standing over their father, sinking fangs into the exposed throat to ensure death.
Rowan took a step back as Nirvana looked up, his chin wet.
"You killed him."
The black wolf mistook the fear in Rowan's eyes for anger. In that moment the bond shattered, the wall going back up, never to come down again. "I saved your life." He snapped. "He killed our mother, that loner, the Lupi wolf, Aina, and... River." His eyes traveled to her still form, half in the water.
"He could've been brought back to the pack for trial! He didn't know what he was doing." Rowan spat, ears flat against his head.
The black wolf's eyes narrowed. "Brother, he knew exactly what he was doing. He's a maniac. A monster."
Rowan backed away, shaking his head. "He was dead the moment he hit the ground. You're every bit of the monster that he was."
Nirvana let out a whimper then turned, disappearing through the bushes.
Rowan didn't see him again until the Great Battle, which had been spurred by the murderings and then the mysterious prophecy. The story he told the wolves was always the same: The killer had murdered River and Creek, and Nirvana couldn't bear to see his litter-sister dead. In the mind of the silver wolf, his brother had betrayed him. Nirvana was a murderer and wasn't worthy of being his brother.

Woah, that's such a cool story Koko! (Can't believe I read all of it though.) It made me want to cry it's so deep.

Anyway, finally finished her. Not super great but pretty good for my first try.

Thankies :)
And I agree with Nirvana as well.
Rowan had and still has a strong sense of justice. Creek would've been brought back to Notte for a trial (he would've been put to death anyways I mean come on people.) Not saying that Rowan wasn't angry at his father, but he just wanted everything to be properly carried out. Though, he still does have doubt about what he said to Nirvana. He is also less forgiving than Nirvana. If not for his grudge-keeping abilities, them the feud would have cooled down a long time ago.
Nirvana killed him because he does have a sense of justice, but is more impulsive than Rowan. Nirvana did what he thought was right.
The hardest part of writing stories about arguments is seeing the other side. I can't see why Rowan got mad at Nirvana, for killing their murderous father that was about to kill even him, but there has to be the other side of an argument. It can't just be a world run by Koko. Rowan had to had an opinion, and though he is not happy about the killing of his sister, he is still loyal to his father. (As much as I do indeed with that I did run the world.)

Sorry for the happy rant.

Thanks Koko!

I see both sides... Rowan's and Nirvana's. I think Nirvana was right to kill Creek but I also see why Rowan was angry at his brother for killing their father.

I prefer drawing traditional. I can get better lines and better detail and things like that but I'm trying to learn how to do digital as well.
