So, I can't be the only one interested in this. It can be a little frustrating when you start a new breeding project and aren't sure what special mark goes where and if it's even available in the slot you need it to be in. I'd like to start one and even though it is ever changing due to special lionesses', I feel like it would certainly be worth it! I did check over the LD Wiki and find, to my dismay, that not all current marks including special/custom are there. I can believe it is hard to keep up with as there are new ones introduced almost monthly and I'd be willing to help out! I also noticed that some of the new mane and eye colors aren't included in the LD Wiki either so it may or may not be confusing to a new player that, for example, sees hazel on a lion and is unsure how to obtain it for themselves, or has no clue if it is a legitimate eye color as it does not show up on the Wiki. I was hoping for the LD Wiki to include which slot(s) are available for which marking(s) but it isn't included. It would take out a lot of the guess work for all of us, myself included if there was a compiled list of where they all went. I'm sure nearly all of us have had the door slammed in our face so to speak with the special markings not being able to belong in certain spots because of either another special marking they need that pre-exists within that spot as well, so it'd be back to the drawing board. I'd be more than willing to compile a list and/or help out the admins by doing so and helping them update the Wiki. I do understand they are all busy and incredibly so, and I am not pointing fingers but it'd be nice to have a up-to-date Wiki. Is anyone else interested in this? **Please note, that this would be for special/event markings only! This list would include the special NCL marks as well! This could be broken down into individual categories such as a list for Dims, Rogues, Pelages, etc, OR they would just be placed into alphabetical order and naturally, each marking, along with the slots they exist in would be accompanied by a picture as well. |

Support, me and a friend have been keeping up, to a point, and trying to manage studs, but it is a pain ^^ An accurate resource would be amazing and a lo of wok off our plate :3  0 players like this post! Like? |

The version I have running with a friend has probably 90 % of all slots, so we're nearly done, but DAMN is it messy to work on. I'm honestly contemplating compiling a website similar to the way this is done, but it'd require a lot of coding research for me cx 0 players like this post! My Word Doc is strictly organized. lol I have all my Dims in one category, Rogues in another, Pelages in another as well. I've got tables sectioned off for each of them and all in alphabetical order. XDD I would cry if it was all over the place and curse myself up and down. lol At least you are farther along than I am! I've been neglecting this project for a bit but decided it was high time to bring it back into action. We just have it in alphabetical order, as it was originally intended as a special marking resource of studs c: Just a few odd ends to tie up here and there, WTT was missing from the sheet for some reason, haha. Just imagining it would be strictly based on studs would be much more work than necessary. Even with new markings added along with the ones we already have expanding in available slots due to the special lionesses' it would be a pain to keep up with it. The site you mentioned is kinda... Squished to me and too many pictures. Unless you plan on simplifying it some to make it more readable would be grand. If and when I get further along into my marking research we can compile our lists and see if they all match up? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Here's the topic that me and Auri are working on expanding, though it's not as updated as the shared document, since I found a few new slots, and I can't edit the actual topic. The Piety event made NCL marks harder to trace. It's not strictly based on studs, per se, we just want a couple studs for each, especially the rarer markings. It is a bit squished, but the idea is that all markings are represented by an image, you can hover over any image, which would bring up a textbox with slots, studs for each slot, if available, and some details on the marking. Alternatively, markings could be searched in real-time with keywords by using the searchbox. Seems like an effective system. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Mau~ It is a bit squished but sprucing it up some or hosting it off-site or even to coordinate it with the LD Wiki as I'm unsure how the admins would react to their art/ideas being hosted away from the Wiki itself would go. Stud-wise, it's a great idea but would give you more grief than anything to check and double check over and over again to make sure the current stud still stands or if another stud took over, etc. Really good idea though for those interested in breeding specifically for that mark! Stabby~ This would definitely help do some clearing up for people who don't play avidly and to those who just recently joined. It would be a great reference and would take out all the guess work for everyone. :) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Depending on how staff react to the suggestion, permission could always be asked? I don't really see an issue as long as the art is credited, but always best to check. Yeah, I agree with you completely, there won't really be that issue when we can search for markings in specific slots, as a stud list wouldn't be required. For now, keeping a data on rare slot studs is pretty important, though, as some of these markings I really want to preserve. For example, Dorsal line is becoming exceedingly less common, and I've yet to see it outside slots 6 and 10, even though they exist. Even 6 and 10 are really uncommon right now. I'm a big fan of the marking, so trying to do what I can to restore the numbers :3 0 players like this post! Like? |

True! I also figured adding it to the LD Wiki would be nice to keep everything LD related under one roof. I also forgot the mod/admin who worked on the new Wiki itself and don't want to step on any toes. If the admins give the go ahead, it'd be nice to collaborate with them such as them giving whoever a head's up that such and such a marking is going to be added to the game or such and such existing marking is getting a new available slot. That way you'd get early access, all the pictures would be made, and just when the marking is released/new slot is released, it's there within the same day or a few days after. I used to love DL! I had a bucket ton until they all died off and haven't been really able to find another since. It is a huge shame though their numbers have dwindled so much. Stabby~ Precisely! It'd be a quick look up of the marking and then you're off to the races to create your future heir/future lioness! I'm getting more excited for this to happen! <33 0 players like this post! Yep, I agree completely c: I believe Ahadi is in charge of the Wiki. In any case, I'll keep bumping this thread when I can. I'm not too bothered if they chose to do it on their own, since they do want staff moderating the wiki, I'm honestly just happy if it's done at all :3 I'm trying to breed a double at the moment, and I know a friend is working on a double DL stud. We haven't given up completely, so DL should hopefully be getting a comeback. 0 players like this post! Like? |
