Not sure if this has been suggested before, but I was messaging a few of my friends when I thought,"Why not be able to message all of them at once?" So I put a bit more thought into it. What if we could privately message a group of people, without it being posted onto the forums or chat box. Anyone in the conversation can see what has previously been posted, not just the the previous message. It could be set up like a thread, just private. People could be added to the conversation at any time. It could also be a section in the messages. (Like the Trading Center and Transfers) If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be glad to Suggestions: I support, but only if the mods could monitor it. We don't want gossiping or such. ~~~~~ suggested by Xyllusion (#28866) ~~~~~ |

I support, but only if the mods could monitor it. We don't want gossiping or such. But otherwise, great idea! :) ![]() |

Illusion, I really like the idea of the mods monitoring the messages and I fully agree. Bad things could be posted there if not monitored. ![]() |

I believe this wasn't implemented initially to avoid the potential of spam messaging with advertisements and the like. I get them time-to-time as-is, but this could potentially make the issue worse. I feel like it'd create a lot more work for staff to moderate, and there are other channels to have group conversations, such as skype or private chat boxes/websites. No support for the moment. ![]() |

The only problem I can see is it will make it much easier for beggars or advertisers to mass-message people. ![]() |

perhaps the receivers can have a way to accept the group message invitation and if there is no acceptance, they are not included in the group message. There could also be a limitation to how many people are in the group messages. ![]() |

Maulise- Some people, like me, don't want to give away their Skype information and may not feel comfortable with using chat websites. If you met someone online and you had never met them in person, I wouldn't want to give them my skype information, especially when I use it to call close friends and family. In short, a Lioden private group chat may be a better option. Axel- Oops, didn't see that. I did search the forums for topics like this. Must not have used the right words. ![]() |

Vulpes- It would be nice if the host could accept or decline access to certain people. The only problem with that is if the host is inactive for a long time. Maybe there could be a way for the host to add 2 or 3 people that could also accept and decline invitees? owo And maybe a 30 - 40 person limit? Or maybe the host could choose when they first make the conversation? Kuri- That wouldn't be a problem unless the host/s accepted them to their message group. ![]() |

When I said limit I meant 3-5 people.. max :< Sorry, but 30-40 people..is just way too much. THAT would for sure lead to spamming and advertising. As for the host accepting or declining, i don't see why the host needs to do any of that, after all they are the one inviting the people in the first place, the only ones who need to decline or accept are the people being invited. The host however can block people from being in the group message. ![]() |

That sounds reasonable. (Now that I think about it 30 - 40 people is way too much. Maybe 10?) The host could also be able to kick people out //if they are spamming// SO MANY IDEAS ![]() |
