I've had a few new item ideas floating around in my head for a while, so I thought I'd finally write them up. I'm not completely certain on what the actual item would be for all of them, and how it would tie into the effect, but I'll be updating as I do research and come up with links between items and their effects. - Incredibly hard to code it right now as markings are not related to each other at this stage of the game - XyShiny Precious (open to name suggestions) - Event Ooooh, shiny! This thing.... you don't know what it is, but something about it makes you really reluctant to let it out of your sight. Others seem to take interest in it, too... keep the precious safe! This item would increase enemy encounter rate in explore by x % for y duration. |

i was thinking... Mutation Addition -Lets you change the lion's mutation (or even add) just once. If you already used this item on the same lion you're trying to use it, you wont be able to do so. This item can only be used once per lion. 0 players like this post! Like? |

That's been suggested before in another post c: Personally, I don't support the idea of something like this due to mutations having different rarities, with achromia and floppy ears being common, and adult mutations like overgrown claws and teeth being rather rare. Similar thing with addition, really. Mutations might not serve a role in the game, but they're still a prestigious thing that a person puts effort into getting, it shouldn't be the simple course of simply buying an item, in my opinion ^^ 0 players like this post! I'd support Hey's idea if you had to remove the mutation from another lion/ess first and only then are you able to apply it to another lion/ess. You would be able to buy the "empty" version of the item from an event and once it was used on a lioness that had a mutation and removed it, it would become "full" and able to be used on another. After having become "empty" the second time, it would disappear from the hoard, making for a one time use. It could also have other boundries (such as the "full" items couldn't be sold or a lion/ess has to be at least 2 years old before it is able to be used on them even if their mutation appeared before that) to prevent it from becoming to over-powered. Of course, I can imagine this idea being very hard to code and I doubt this would appear in the near, future if at all, but this item would be very useful to players who have an NCL base and/or marked lioness and would rather transfer it to a lioness they would better appreciate it on. EDIT: I also just now thought of another way this item could be abused and that would be removing an old lioness's mutation. To prevent users from removing a mutation from a lioness who will die soon, there could maybe be another age limit as to when you can remove the mutation (maybe when they hit 9.11 years, the lioness could no longer have her mutation removed?). Though, I see no problem with adding a mutation to an old lioness, it would be very upsetting to a player who miss-clicked on a lion and added a mutation to them but could no longer get it back due to it's age. END OF EDIT ------- Also, for the first "to be decided" item in this list that involves NCLs, could perhaps be called "Cursed Flower" or something such as that which is sort of based off the "Leopard Orchid" item that allows the instant claiming of a lioness. I also think that the last "to be decided" event item, involving the increased chance of a lioness passing her mutation, should also have a male version so that players can also capture a male specific mutation to another male cub. There would be a notification on the male's page, similar to other items such as a GMO cow, and would only be good for one breeding. (Please let me know if anything confuses you. It's fairly late so my wording isn't the best right now) EDIT: As another decor suggestion, there could maybe be an animal based decor (like a hyena or another lion) to help aid your lion in battle/ your lioness on a hunting trip, similar to your "War Paint" idea but the decor would appear as an adult animal on your lion's image. To make this more balanced, these could either run out after a certain amount of rollovers/gameplay time (which would remove the animal as if it left and is no longer helping you) and/or have only a slight boost of stats. These could also possibly come in different variations and boost a specific stat with a corresponding animal "helper" (such as a cheetah for speed, a rhino for strength, a zebra for stamina, etc). The decor should also not be listed in your lion's equipped decor list, making it irremovable. When equipped, a notification will appear at the top of the lion's page stating which stat is being boosted in battle. Having this equipped would cause no stat boost to cubs and only be useful in battle/on hunts. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 24/02/15 by SnowyCat (#40791) |

Hmmm.., that actually sounds interesting, I'll type that up once I get to my laptop! ^^ _______ Oh yeah, good point ^^ I'll probably just alter the wording for that item so it works on both males and females, no real reason to have it be different items, really, just to avoid confusion. I appreciate the feedback! I also appreciate the name suggestion~ 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 24/02/15 by Maulise | Flirty Floof (#32469) |

Came up with names for all but one item, and added SnowyCat's suggestions with a few tweaks ^^ 0 players like this post! Like? |

Just two comments. :3 The adult sex changer should not be eligible for use on the weekly special lioness. And I do not support the mutation transfer. Stats and markings are what make a mutation more valuable. For example, I bred a quad feline with overgrown teeth. Now all someone needs to do is nab a quad feline and drop the mutation on. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Torquil: Nice catch on the special lioness, I totally forgot about that, it could be massively exploited! Yeah, I'm really on-the-fence about the idea. It's nice, in theory, but thinking about it, it could be exploited and ruin the value of things rather easily. I'll probably remove that, just because it has so many 'ifs' to it, regardless. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support all of these but am on the fence about the mutation being carried on; however, if it were a REALLY small percentage, I'd be down. :) Neat ideas though! <3 0 players like this post! Like? |

Camo: if implimented, it's likely to be an event item, so there wouldn't be ready access to the item. That being said, the item probably wouldn't be more effective than lion meat, I wouldn't think. It'd be up to staff to decide percentage, though. 0 players like this post! Like? |

With the adult sex changer, maybe it could only be used on lionesses with a heritage. E.g. Instead of customising my main male, I could make a Custom Lioness and sex change her, then let her take over. This would save me 5 GB on the base price, and the trouble of breeding an heir. This would also love the Special Lioness problem. NCLs won't be eligible then, but not many chased girls would make a suitable sub/heir. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Renarai: Thank you for the suggestion, that likely solves the coding problem the 'no special lioness rule would've cause coding-wise. Will edit that in once I get back to my laptop~ 0 players like this post! Like? |

I was totally going to suggest this (Glad you have suggested it though :D ) ---> Marking Color Picker - Oasis / Monkey Shop (2 GB / 1.8k SB) - 1 use Allows you to change the color of one oasis making on a lion. Pretty simple, marking color changer for oasis markings to preserve slot rarity of special/event markings ^^ Possible alternate version for events that could affect other marking types? 0 players like this post! Support, many of these would be great GB/SB dumps XD And are over all very creative. Appreciate the detail you put into these :) Support. 0 players like this post! Like? |
