On a different site I play, we are able to compress items into a single item but with many uses.

Example:

You have 4 buffalo carcasses. Three have full (6) uses and one has 3. You hop over to the item compressor and select buffalo carcasses and check how many you want to compress. In this case, all of them. Click the button and tada: you have a "single" buffalo carcass with 21 uses.


Limitations:
Décor may not be compressed (this is debatable)
Food items, when compressed will take on the quickest expiration date (i.e. an okapi with 5 days till rotting and an okapi with 7 days till rotting, once compressed will be at 5 days till rotting)
Compressed items cannot be offered on a branch, as it goes around the item slot limit.
Compressed feathers cannot be used in feather crafting (this can be debated)

IF YOU SAY NO SUPPORT, PLEASE LEAVE A REASON WHY. It is very disheartening to see no supports pop up when you think your idea is perfect, and then not know what's wrong with it.
