You are at a marketplace on a calm Sunday afternoon. An elderly woman is running a stand with many pieces of jewelry, animals being a common theme of many of them. Curiously, you approach the the table, looking over the merchandise which ranges from carved wooden tokens to animal teeth and bones, carefully cleaned and polished. On the far left is a wicker basket of stones, which you look over for a little. The prices of the merchandise is very high and you consider leaving. The woman asks if you're interested in looking at a few necklaces, which you nod your head at. No harm in just looking.

She retrieves a small basket from underneath the table and sits in her lap. One by one, she strings the necklaces out on her arm and she gets up from chair, her knees popping softly as she does so. She presents the necklaces to you which are rather decorative with several agate stones, carved animal teeth and wooden beads. The center piece is an outline of an animal carved into a light grey stone. You notice that none of these necklaces have a price tag attached to them and mention it to her. She just nods her head slowly. You notice she's looking at her, inspecting you closely. All of a sudden, she pulls one of the necklaces off of her arm and dangles it front of you. "Please take this one. I do not want anything for it."

Slowly, you take the necklace and slip it over your head. You thank her for it and leave slowly, twiddling the center stone between your fingers. Later that night, you notice something strange... The animal outline of the necklace is emitting a soft glow which turns into a blinding light.

The next thing you know, is that you wake up on the ground in an unfamiliar forest. But you're not alone. There's several others around you, all wearing necklaces similar to yours...

You stand up, rubbing your head softly, feeling a new strange energy about you. Next thing you know, you've taken on the form of the animal that your necklace represents.

Basically, this roleplay would be about this group of people living in a forest where their duty is to keep peace and balance. But when humans begin encroaching on the area, slowly killing off the area's wildlife it is up to them to decide whether to fight back... or to solve things peacefully. This is a rough plot and more things can happen once it gets rolling.

This will be an application roleplay where you will apply for a certain animal to play and I will select which character I feel would best fit the role.

I thinking something like:

Deer/Elk

Hawk
Raccoon
Fox
Cougar or Lynx
