no idea if this is in the right section ahhhh

*just adding the LF Digital Artist to title* N-Now I'm even more unsure if this is in the right section

So it's 2:30 AM when I get an idea for a new species. What do I do? Immediately sit up and sketch it, of course. Afterwards, I feel rather pleased with my creation and wonder, "Would other people like this?" What do I do next? Make this thread, of course.

Ehehe, so yeah. These are the two little sketchies I came up with!


They don't have a name yet :c I do have a few ideas for their behaviors and such, however!

- They're a pack mammal with no alpha pair. The females have less fluff and do most of the hunting/foraging while the males stay at the dens and care for the pups.
- They're omnivores. They eat berries, insects, and the occasional small rodent.
- Guards stand up on their back legs to "watch" over the pack and use their tail for extra balance.
- They communicate with clicks. They have enhanced hearing and smell due to their lack of eyes.*
*As they somewhat resemble bats, I was considering giving them echolocation rather than enhanced hearing and smell....Or a combination of both! Let me know what you think!

The name for this new species is...Amicaeus! It was suggested by Emmon (#37702)! It is a mix of the Latin words for "blind" and "friend," which I just absolutely love~<3
