Since childhood, I've had several stories floating around my brain that are just begging to be written. But I'm very hit-or-miss when it comes to writing muse... I mean, same can be said for drawing, but I think I enjoy it more than writing. Yes, let's go with that.

Anyway, I won't get too into it because of copyright (though you're free to PM me and ask about it on my dA, KiikuA), but I can narrow it down into two dog stories and one lion story.

Neither of the dog stories have names yet, but I've done art of them. Nothing on the lion story, unfortunately. (which makes me the biggest moron, because the lion story is easily my most developed one).

Dog story #1:

Dog story #2:

Lion Story:
Without spoiling too much, I can pretty much narrow it down to the defect daughter who experiences a series of events and traumas and undergoes much development to get to the point she wants to be.

All of these will hopefully be turned into comics at some point (all uploaded onto my deviantART... I'm also waiting on my MiniMac, because I've heard that has some awesome manga creating programs) but I'm torn on which one I should focus on first.

Thoughts?

((I'll hopefully get art up of my lioness soon))

I would be lying if I denied there being any inspiration from it, though that genuinely may just be from it being the only dog-related anime I've ever seen.
The second dog story has very little to do with bears, though. The scene depicted is the only foreseeable one with a bear, and I might end up cutting it if it loses its relevancy. It's based on an expedition in the mid-to-late 1900's where the man (I forget his name) let his huskies breed and had to leave them all on the island (there were over 90, if I remember correctly) because they couldn't all fit on the ship back.

The first one could probably be read as a little bit more Ginga-esque, as it's more dog vs. dog, but it takes place in a post apocalyptic world (no zombies, though, but far less humans), and is more about the survival of a few characters in this new, wild world than it is about conquering and honour and all that jazz. (also less sexism) I'm wondering what reminded you of Ginga in this one based off the picture..?

I personally think that starting with the second dog story is the best choice in my opinion, from the little bit I now know about it seems very interesting and I'm always looking for another post apocalyptic world story ;3

Its mostly because of how the characters are drawn ^^ the one on the cover of the first one reminds me of Old Man Smith. And as you would have guessed it the second one reminds me of the protagonist Ginga and Weed classically fighting a bear C:, also the eyes. Eyes can say alot of things about art especially in stories you have been thinking about threw a lot of your lifetime, the Ginga Densetsu Weed eyes are oddly human because of the creators lack of experience in creating dogs. But that itself sort of created a new way to draw dogs! Even if it screwed over the Anatomy of a real dog I actually like it better ^.^ exaggerates the characters. (Plus Fugato Pass sort of reference in the mountains in the background and the birds could have been a reference to how GB and Weed met C:)

(This art piece right here kills it for me, that reference to Ginga's near-death Q.q) Or that could just be me just theorizing everything XD

Aah... I used to draw Ginga-styled fanart years ago so it probably bled into the style of my current dogs. I mean, I still like Ginga, but I hope when I get further into the comics a clear distinction is made between the plots and such. :] Though a character in the first story is actually a brindled Akita Inu, if only to pay homeage to Ginga and the impact it had on my little child life. Appearance is still not exactly the same though. And she's a girl. :p
Now that I think about it, one of the characters in the story actually started out as a Ginga fancharacter... ohh boy.

I can't argue that Yoshi has no idea what he's doing with his dog anatomy, but the eye style may have been implemented just to make the dogs more relatable and expressive... which they're not, anyway.

As for the mountains; they were only split that way for the sake of composition -- allowing the light to bleed in from between the mountains, but I see your point.
The bird idea seems a bit obscure, but I suppose I can also understand where you're coming from with that. The addition of the birds was again purely for composition and having nothing to do with the actually character. ...Yet. Idk.

As for that image, that is entirely a redraw/tribute of Gin, so no loopholes on that one. :p Has nothing to do with the two stories, though. Just fanart. Poorly timed, I guess. (Or not, I've just been on a dog drawing kick).

@Motsumi (#5378) -- good to know! and thank you <3 I may open them up again for a short amount of time, since my drawing muse (and emotional state) have made somewhat of a comeback as of late.
