HEART OF A WARRIOR ”Long ago, before anyone came to live here the land was barren and cold. Black rock as far as the eye could see, the only significant change in the land was a massive volcano which poured poisonous air that suffocated any who got near and erupted whenever a seed even tried to sprout. No one had dared travel anywhere near there in many a moon, until Redstripe. Redstripe had been a normal warrior, until one day StarClan gave her a special prophecy, telling her to travel to the volcano and bring life to the land. She did as he was told and journeyed to the volcano, it toke her many seasons and she was nearing elder age by the time she even arrived at the base of the volcano. But she pushed on anyway, nearly dying from the lack of air as she reached the top. However she did made it to the rim when she received another bit of the prophecy which told her to sacrifice herself to the volcano and that her devotion would make life come back. Redtail leaped straight down into the magma. As soon as get last hair burned the volcano erupted for the last time. Only this time instead of lava it brought water, air instead of smoke, plants instead of ash and finally cats instead of embers. Warrior Codelaws have been changed to fit the clan Do not step outside the border unless given permission by either the leader or deputy and you must be accompanied by another warrior Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice, this means that they must be at least twenty moons The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires unless the leader says otherwise After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh Before the night of the full moon no one but kits, elders and queens may eat so that there will be a feast on the full moon Boundaries must be checked and marked daily, challenge all trespassing cats No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger The word of the clan leader is the code An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.
