I have lots of OCs with human/animal forms. Usually what I do is:

- Keep their body type similar. A small, chubby wolf should be a small, chubby human.

- Make the fur colour the hair colour. Since your OC already has hair in wolf form, I would just keep it the same. Or make the hair black since it's the predominant fur colour other than the hair. (In this case I would include the black somehow, perhaps he can wear a black and white shirt for example. Or have a mixed red/black hair. Or make him a black person with red hair. That would be rad).

- Keep eye colours the same. Quite obvious though.

- Include something subtle that reminds you of the feral form. For example, make the human form wear a T-shirt with a wolf on it, have a wolf tattoo, have wolf teeth necklace, etc. Or even go as far as give your human the feral ears and/or tail.

Yep, that looks cool! Mixed red/black hair c: It looks really nice that way, and you can see the connection between the two forms.

Yeah, if a character has fur colour close to a skin tone I try to use that too. Sometimes brownish pelts can translate to awesome skin colours; my only white-skinned characters are the ones with creamy/light fur. You can just go crazy. I have a character whose wolf form is basically pure white, but human form is darkish skinned with white hair, for example. x)

It's nice to design different options and see what's your favourite one in the end :D
