(this should have existed in the beginning for some realism and the enjoyment of everyone) ~~~ edit: I'm suggesting this as free for all~ The GB feature could be making the territory BG Dynamic! But Lioden team would be the ones to decide if its oasis only. If its oasis then I sure hope its dynamic, because the default BG is dynamic (day/night). ~~~ Other suggestions: by Lynnx (#3910) "To make it easier on the artists there could be small changes made to the existing default BG. The middle ground of the BG where the trees are could be edited to be a water hole, desert, etc. and leave the rest of the BG as is. It would stay dynamic and largely unchanged except for the middle/back portion of the scene. Tho it might be a better idea to just update it and do all new BGs as suggested, since the art is so old. They could also recolor the Monkey Business BGs to be monochromatic like the default BG, that would be minimal work for the artists and would still give people a reason to buy BGs from the monkey." |

This has been suggested multiple times, and been rejected for many reasons. We already have alternate backgrounds for different territory types available in monkey shop. It wouldn't be fair to all those people who've bought those to suddenly change and make them defaults. If you want one of those backgrounds it doesn't cost too much to buy them in shop. And the site artists don't need to make completely new/diverse backgrounds for all the territory types. That's an insane amount of extra work. 0 players like this post! Tortuga, those that bought the BG lose close to nothing, they gave good use to their BGs, besides they could trade it or sell it if this change was implanted. I've bought many of those BG and it wont bother me what I spent on them and shouldn't bother most since as you say they dont cost much ;) 0 players like this post! To some, it's a lot of beetles. Especially casual players and new players who can't spend real money or a ton of time in game. Hell, I'd be pissed if I bought a decor in monkey shop only to have it later be made a free item for everyone. I'd be out that money I could have spent on other things. And no one would buy it if it was available for free with a simple change of territory tile. So you'd be stuck with a background you saved up for and spent money on and now it's useless. No support. Its not for free, since your lions would only "wear" the default background of the territory they select when they dont have an equiped BG. If you choose rocky territory but you want grassy plains default BG in only one lioness you will have to buy it. If you change territory lets say to dessert, you will lose the rocky default BG, so its not something you owe. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'd actually like if this was a GB-purchasable feature released with a set of new territory related backgrounds (working in a similar manner to the cub stages feature). That way we would be provided with something that makes choosing a territory mean something, while also helping to fund the game. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'm in agreement with Kraft, though it's still a ton of extra work for Xylax. It would be worthwhile of they were a purchasable addition to fund the site, though. No support for it being a free feature. Decor and extras are meant to be purchased or earned. 0 players like this post! Like? |

You arent getting a free BG since you wont own it unless you purchuse it at the monkey's. :3 Xylax enjoys painting and is paid for it, besides this doesn't need to be implanted now in can be done in a distant future, so the artist will have a lot of time to work on the few BG needed. 0 players like this post!
