Only accepted characters may post here Sign up here! Hunting Thread You have left your forest home, left without your pack. The earthquake shook a massive hole in your life. Now, you search for the Valley of Hope and for a new pack to share your life with. Before each post you must put this: With Alpha's name's Pack Character name || Sex || Age || Rank This is to make sure there is no confusion. Occasionally I will post plot updates, with weather/prey/landscapes coming into play. You’ll see what I mean after I’ve done this a few times. Every update will have ‘Plot Update’ written before it. Please take your time with your responses, and allow at least couple of people to post their own replies before you post again, even if you’re only interacting with one person at the time. This makes sure replies are well thought out, nobody is controlling someone else’s character, and everyone has the chance to get involved in whatever happens before the RP moves on from that. Pack hunts will be arranged every so often by the alpha. I will set up a hunting thread that I will link here. Once the alpha has chosen the hunters you will RP that your character has left with the hunting party, and then switch to the hunting thread to RP the hunt. This is so that characters in the hunt and in the rest of the pack don’t get confused about who is where. I find it makes things much easier to follow this way. You may hunt small prey alone here, but group hunting must be done away from the pack, in the hunting thread. You will then RP your return here, and either bring the prey or lead the pack to the prey, all in this thread. Only hunting will take place in the hunting thread. My rule of at least four sentences per post is absolute. If you don’t follow this you will get a strike by your name. Three strikes and you will no longer be allowed to rp here. I may remove a strike if you post a lot of detail in your next few posts. Strikes Nobody :3 let’s keep it that way, yeah? The last thing to say is have fun everyone! Current Plot Update The wolf pack travelled across the soaked plains and have come to the base of the mountain. The rains have passed for now and the sun shines down. However, they must make the decision to either go around or over the mountains. They will soon encounter new wolves, but whether this be a good or bad encounter is up to their choice! Spring is still here and flowers will soon bloom. Character SheetsNo thread generated. The original poster of this RP thread will be able to generate one for this feature.0 players like this post! Marcel | Male | Fours Years Old | Pup | Mentions: Cyber, Twist, Remington, Kade, Dakota Having never been part of a wolf pack before Marcel hadn't even realized Twist was the Omega when she spoke to him and it didn't change his opinion of her much either once Dakota had informed him. Though the other male was trying to joke around he didn't find much humor or encouragement from his words and chose not to answer him at all. He had started to assume Twist was the wolf version of a vet when she began instructing him on what to do about his wounds. His gaze kept flitting between his bitten leg and crooked tail. He wanted to get the blood off before it dried like Twist said, but without any water in clear sight he wasn't sure how to go about it. He also didn't want to wander off too far in search of a stream and end up getting left behind. Marcel was somewhat surprised when Cyber made an appearance and he stared at her uncertainly. "How would you get it off? I don't want to stop or leave the group," he finally replied a bit warily. To think he'd been complaining about just walking to Raven awhile ago. He didn't dare let any negative comment leave his mouth now. He had his pride and image in the pack to consider. When Remington approached him a moment later he immediately backed away, entire body tensing and expecting the worst. Much to his surprise he got an apology instead of another beating. He watched almost blankly as the Alpha went off looking for Kade. He actually appeared angry about what she'd done to him. Marcel felt an odd feeling stir in his chest that he couldn't quite explain. Like respect, but somewhat different. Marcel did not know what loyalty to another living creature felt like as he had never experienced it before, but it thrilled him that Remington would protect him. That Kade would be punished for harming him. No one had ever defended him like this. It was honestly quite jarring. Was that what being a real pack wolf felt like? Raven | Male | Two Years Old | Scout | Mentions: Cyber, Twist, Dakota, Kade The sound of snarling had drawn Raven's attention away from Cyber and his heart nearly leaped out of his chest when he saw Kade with her fangs clutched around one of Marcel's forelegs, dragging him through the dirt with such ease. He left his current traveling companion's side and rushed towards the scene. He hadn't dared intervene, knowing better than to interrupt his new pack's Beta when she was dishing out a punishment, but he was truley frightened for Marcel's life. He whimpered loudly. Not caring if anyone noticed his distress. Kade might be in the right, but Marcel was his friend. He didn't want to see him hurt like this even if he'd started it. He stood there watching with bated breath when the brown and black she-wolf finally released him. Marcel seemed to just lay there for a long time before finally pushing himself up to his paws and limping away. Raven hurried towards him. Prepared to do anything he could for Marcel before the other male snapped at him to get away. He drew back, hurt, but respected the older brute's wishes. He hurried back to Cyber with his tail hanging low and ears laid flat against his head. "I-I'm fine," he finally managed to whisper when Cyber asked if he was alright. "That was just really hard for me to watch." He eyed Kade a bit warily as she seemed to wander elsewhere. He wouldn't be in any hurry to go near that female anytime soon if he could help it. Cyber's friendly nudge had him sending her a grateful smile before she went to see to Marcel. He certainly hoped she didn't get snarled at too, though he noticed a small scarred she-wolf without a tail seemed to be walking with him just fine right now. Eventually he padded over to join them, unable to keep himself away any longer. Raven glanced at Dakota and Twist curiously as he walked on Marcel's other side, which was still quite close to the other two. He wondered what must have happened in Twist's life to leave her looking so ragged and downtrodden, but knew it would be more than rude to ask. Not to mention it could bring up bad memories. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 03/09/15 by Topaz (Side) (#33365) |

Kade || Female || 5 years || Beta female Kade calmed herself, and before she answered Remington, she called, "There's a pool of water over there! It's a bit hidden but it's clean, and you'll want to get that blood off!" It wasn't in an angry way; she truly didn't want his wounds to get infected. Then she turned her full attention to the alpha. "Remington, I'm not angry," she told him. "Upset, yes, but angry, no." Even as he circled closer, she stood her ground. "If you haven't noticed, Marcel is larger than me, he simply has no idea how to fight. And I don't think you saw everything that happened." Before she continued, curiosity sparked in her mind. Kade had only known Remington when he was in 'alpha' mode. "By the way, what rank were you in your old pack? This is what happened: I went over and asked him something, attempting to have a conversation. Apparently, I did something wrong; he smacked me in the face with his tail then attempted to walk away. So I bit his tail, not hard enough to break it, but like you do. And he whipped around demanding that I release him. I'd intended to at first but then he actually made me angry. Well, it's been a while since I broke someone's tail, and I thought it took more pressure than that, but obviously not. So it was a personal-defense thing that he attacked me in turn and I suppose it isn't his fault that he's terrible at it; I'll really have to show him how to fight properly sometime." This entire time, her voice had been monotone, but internally, Kade was daring Remington to attack her. He may have been bigger, but she had more experience. It was then that she realized something was very wrong. "Remington, when is the last time you've eaten? When we took that deer, did you eat any?" The sickness earlier and his unusual aggression now made sense. There was sure to be some small prey around here that she could catch for him that wouldn't take long. 0 players like this post! Sollux || 4 years, 2 Months || Male || Hunter -- Sol chuckled. "Aye. We needn't them in her grasp." Then he looked to Marcel. "Almost. Causing trouble should never be accepted. He retailiated, and Kade put him down." He shrugged. "He'll learn, and if he doesn't he probably wont make it through this trip, whether he falls off a cliff or the punishment becomes to much for him and pushed him over the edge, which he is teetering on." He shook himself out, and turned his head to smile at Rivers. "I wont hesitate to help. In fact, I was thinking of speaking to the Alpha about getting into the Warrior position. Though, I will probably wait until I have tried hunting out for a bit." He then paused to chuckle. "Of course, you have input as well. You being scout, we'll work together more if i'm a hunter, yes?" He sighed, a happy sigh. "I can't wait for us to get there." Addressed to River (Hey, sorry I haven't been on! I usually wont be on Week Days, as im busy with school. ) 0 players like this post! Nova | | Female | | 3 years | | Fighter Nova had been aware of Kade and Marcel having a disagreement, she had seen him flick his tail in her face and saw Kade lunge at him... Nova had expected her to nip him a few times. She had not expected the brutal attack that Kade had delivered on Marcel and though he had been disrespectful he did not understand the hierarchy of wolves. That was the reason Remington had put him in the pup rank and the fact that Kade had attacked him so violently had made Nova’s lips pull back from her teeth in a silent snarl even though Marcel was grown he was formerly ranked as a pup...you do not teach a pup respect, submissiveness and dominance by attacking them. With an effort of will Nova had ignored the fight. As much as she disapproved of Kades treatment, Nova had never herself had been a part of a sane and controlled wolf pack. Kade had been an alpha of one which meant she should know the inner workings of a pack better... though it struck Nova as odd that Kade had not talked to the alpha’s about the discipline. A wounded wolf would slow down the packs speed considerably and Nova wondered if the alphas had given Kade the authority to discipline a wolf that severely. Pushing her thoughts away before her turbulent emotions took over Nova focused on the world around her. She could her a stream trickling in the distance and she could smell the faint scent of rain in the air. The birds were singing and a slight breeze ruffled Nova’s tufted onyx ears and brought the refreshing scent of spring in the air. Nova padded through the forest next to Raoula her gait smooth like that of a big cat despite her small size. Suddenly Nova felt her stomach rumble, she had been so caught up with joining the pack that she had not realized she had not eaten since twelve midnight last night. Thinking about food made Nova realize that she was thirsty as well...she hoped that the pack would reach the the edge of the forest soon so they could either organize a big hunt or each hunt for small game individually. Nova looked at the gray female beside her... she should get to know the hunter better; asking about food was always a good start to a conversation since a wolf's active lifestyle made them avid fans of food. “Are you hungry, Raoula?” Nova was waiting for her answer when Remington suddenly confronted Kade right in front of Raoula and herself. Nova stopped, having no other choice Remington smelled of anger and Nova was close enough to the big wolf that the breeze brought the faint smell of hunger clinging to the alpha. Remington slowly circled Kade and Nova was surprised and slightly impressed at the calmness Kade presented in front of the snarling, hungry male. She did not show the submissiveness that she most would at the show of dominance from such a big alpha around especially when he was hungry...when Kade spoke her voice was calm, her tailed lowered and her ears perked, during the end of her speech the concern for Remington in her voice was quite obvious. Nova guessed that she was not worried about the aggressiveness of the big wolf, Nova was less sure... Hunger could effect a wolf’s emotions, if severe enough and even Kade’s friendly manner could make Remington mad. Despite Nova's rocky opinion of Kade's methods of discipline she had to respect the utter calm and confidence of Kade's position and voice especially since the scarred brown female had not discussed her actions with the alphas before she disciplined. Nova laid down despite her own considerable dominance knowing that it would make her less of a threat in the huge alpha’s mind hoping Raoula would take the cue and also lay down. Ro had sensed the strained anger in the air and had flown up to the safety of a nearby tree looking curiously down wolves sometimes grabbing an odd bug out of the air. Nova put her head down on her paws looking at the to wolves wondering at Remington's reaction...if he turned violent hopefully Kade would submit and not fight, though being a former alpha that would most likely be hard for her. Nova watched her ears perked waiting for Remington's reaction. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 04/09/15 by Astral (#65000) |

Raoula|Female|4 years old|Hunter Raoula twitched an ear as Nova asked her if she was hungry. "Hmm... not really," she said. "I ate yesterday, when we hunted a deer. But if you're hungry, I'm sure the alphas would let us hunt..." her voice trailed off as she saw Remington circle Kade, snarling, and Kade refuse to back down. Nova came to a sudden stop, and so did she. What was all this about? Was it because Kade had attacked Marcel? Raoula stood stock-still, then as Nova lay down, she lay down as well, keeping her ears low and averting her eyes. She didn't want to be accidentally drawn into the fight. It was none of her business and she wouldn't interrupt it. (Sorry for short post!) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Twist || Female || 4 Years || Omega Twist flinches away from Marcel, catching the look in his eyes that told her he really didn't care. And why would he? She was something to be looked down upon, after all. But who was he, or any wolf, to decide exactly how low she had to be? Besides herself, no one had that right. Especially some stupid wolf who didn't have a smart bone in his entire body. Her lip lifts in a slight snarl before whirling around, and very nearly walking strait into the chest of another wolf. She raises her head and her eyes meet those of Dakota. Her ears flick in confusion at his inquiry. Why would he want to be a traveling partner with her? Not even a pup would want that. "I, erm, uh, y-yeah. I suppose I do." She stammers, voice becoming more controlled as she spoke. She gives the male a sheepish smile, clear eye flashing greatfully. She had figured she would end up walking alone on this journey. Her head snaps over when she hears Remington's voice, which was rather loud. She realized that he was yelling at Kade, which made Twist quite nervous. She shifts her head so that she was looking down at her mangled paw, her ears lowered. Her stomach rumbles loudly, and she jumps. The simple sound had sort of frightened her, though now she cringes with embarrassment. She truly couldn't remember the last time she had eaten. Probably three or four days ago, maybe less. Her old pack had never bothered to feed her, likely in hopes that she would simply starve to death. She had left the rabbit she had caught had been left in the woods, forgotten after the hunt and her injured side which still throbbed. She had managed to drag the fawn back to the others, but hadn't eaten any of it or the larger carcass. She knew what happened to omegas who tried to eat before the others, and by the time everyone else had eaten their fill there wasn't much left, and she had left it in case another wolf joined the pack. Of course, even if there was food she wasn't likely to eat it. She knew Remington hadn't eaten either, or if he had it wasn't much. She figured that was also why he was acting so strangely. She made a mental note to watch at mealtimes to make sure he ate, partially for his well being and partially out of fear that he would turn on her or other members of the pack. 0 players like this post! Dakota | Male | 2 years | Lead Hunter "Hungry?" He said chuckling when Twist's stomach grumbles loudly. "I'm sure some of us will be hunting soon; probably once we stop to rest for the night," he explained. She seemed small, not only physically but mentally. "Don't worry, I'll make sure you get food in you," he whispered to her. He smiled, then looked at Remington and Kade. It surprised Dakota that he would snap at her like that. "Guess everyone's got there breaking point," he commented quietly, mostly only to himself. He brought his attention back to the omega. "You're in pretty rough shape," he said, not trying to be rude but it shocked him. How could a ack let a member get that beat up? No matter the rank. "If you need to stop and rest just let me know, I can wait with you," he told her. His father always hated the thought of 'omega punching bags'. In Dakota's pack omegas were usually wolves who had joined them who weren't blood-related. They lived away from the pack but still in the territory. Only travelling and eating with the group. They weren't beat up unless they stepped out of line and tried to take from the pack. Dakota's father believed everyone should be treated fairly; alphas and omegas ate the same amount at the same time. Dakota planned on Twist eating the same amount as himself and if anyone disagreed then she could have his share. He was only being nice to her because a weak or injured wolf would slow down the pack... Or maybe he simply felt sorry for her. Cyber | Female | 3 years | Pup Sitter Cyber listened to Kade's comment on the water. "Come on, apparently there's water close by," she said to both Marcel and Raven. Cyber watched as Remington called Kade out in front of everyone. Kade didn't deserve that, not at all. Maybe Kade was a bit harsh on Marcel, but she used to be an alpha after all. Cyber walked in the same direction she saw Kade go, then turned to the males. "Um, go to the water I'll meet you guys there in a second" she told them. Cyber began walking towards the alpha and beta. "Remington, maybe you should make this a little more private," she suggested. "Yes, Kade snapped and hurt Marcel badly but she doesn't need to be called out in front of everyone. How would you like it?" She told him quietly. Cyber was shocked that she had said that to an alpha, but she hadn't been a part of a pack in quite a while and she always stood up for what she believed in. She disagree with the way Kade handled the situation, but Marcel would be fine and Remington was overreacting; he could have addressed the situation in a less-aggressive manner. Cyber looked over at Marcel and Raven and gave them a half smile, trying to let them know that she was still on their side, but Cyber couldn't let Kade be treated this way. 0 players like this post! Velvet || Female || 4 years || Remington’s Mate || Alpha Female Velvet’s appearance Velvet was confused as some of the pack rushed to help Marcel, apparently not thinking he deserved the harsh treatment Kade had inflicted on him. Having never been in charge of pack decisions, not even to the extent that a scout of hunter was, her first thought was not of the impact the injury would have on the pack’s progress. It had never been her job to think about that, her only responsibility while travelling to ensure that the young stopped when the pack chose to. She knew that she’d have to learn new things, but that this process wouldn’t be an overnight one. It was frustrating, but for the sake of Remington and their pack she wouldn’t back down. Her confusion came from the adverse reaction to the former alpha. Velvet had chosen to look to Kade as a guide for how to act in a dominant position, but the pack was objecting to that. She frowned slightly when Remington, too, went against Kade’s actions. Was Kade wrong to punish Marcel for disrespecting her? She tilted her head, watching, trying to understand what the right thing to do was. If the majority of the pack had sided with Marcel, the strange smelling wolf who’d treated her so insultingly, then maybe Velvet had missed something. It would have helped if Remington had answered her question and told her why the wolf acted that way, why he had the rank of a pup despite being four times Luna’s age. One thing that Velvet was sure about was the trust in her mate. That was absolute. When he asked her not to interfere, she trusted that he knew what he was doing and so hung back. She wasn’t ready to get involved in dominance issues, and knew that going into something without being fully informed could easily bring down a whole pack. She sat and whimpered as her mate confronted her friend, ears pulled back in distress. Her eyes widened at Remington’s words, that the blood could attract all sorts of dangers to them. She hadn’t thought of that, a sure sign that she’d a lot to learn about her rank. Perhaps the pack were not objecting to Kade’s treatment of Marcel specifically, but to her injuring a packmate while they still had a long journey to get through safely. That certainly made sense, but she decided at some point she’d need to find out why Marcel acted so strangely and hear his side of the story. She perked up as Kade asked Remington if he was hungry. She was sure he’d eaten his share of their hunt, but if he hadn’t that would certainly explain his aggression and sickness. Finally, there was something she could do to contribute. While everyone was still fussing over Marcel, and Remington was confronting Kade, Velvet slipped off into the trees. A wolf on a mission, she was determined to provide for her mate. She wasn’t the best hunter, but any adult wolf knew how to catch a rabbit in the middle of a forest full of warrens. She crouched and followed her nose, sniffing out the closest rabbit den. Her posture wasn’t great, her legs a little too long for the stealth of a hunter ranked wolf, but she was light enough on her paws to stay quiet in the undergrowth. With no wolf pack living here, and the smaller predators frightened off by the earthquake, the rabbits were grazing in a small clearing almost carelessly. There seemed to only be a few sentries looking out for danger, and even they were idly sneaking bits of dandelion leaf, back legs too relaxed to immediately sound an alarm. With a swift pounce, Velvet landed in the clearing and immediately darted for her target. It wasn’t the healthiest rabbit, an old thing with slightly more bone than meat, but it was the easiest to catch. She grabbed it and shook her head, whacking it against the ground and throwing it about until it stopped twitching. The prey was barely enough to feed a wolf, but it would hopefully keep Remington going until the hunting party were able to locate more substantial prey. Feeling proud of herself, Velvet picked up her kill and trotted merrily back to the pack. Her head was high and tail wagging over her flank, almost a dance-like quality in her step. She stopped beside Remington and dropped the rabbit, nudging it towards him with her nose. ”You should eat, Remington,” she told him, ”It does no good to act noble and strong if you collapse from hunger when you’re needed the most.” She hoped that in the time she’d been gone the pack had calmed down, the conflict drawing to a close. 0 players like this post! Remington || Male || 4 years || Alpha Remington's Face Remington's Body(more muscle though) Remington continued to circle Kade listening and consuming what the others were saying and how they were reacting. He was surprised no one had realized that everything he does is for a certain reason, and even though this dominant stand was provoked by hunger he also needed to know where everyone's loyalty truly lies. As Kade asked him about his previous life, what position he was in he stopped dead in his tracks and looked straight at her and growled, but this wasn't an aggressive growl, but one of disappointment, sadness, and regret. Remington rose his head high and spoke as proud as he could even though for the first time in a while it was hard to stand tall. "I had told everyone that had first met me from the start that I never had pack, I have been a lone wolf since I was two years old. I have not had the experience of actually leading a pack like you. Since none of you have actually wanted to approach me and maybe talk to me on a close and personal level I will lay everything right now out for you. My father was a very well known alpha, he lead one of the most skillful and resourceful packs up on the mountains. Everyone either respected him, feared him, or loved him, he meant something to everyone that knew him. He was jet black, very masculine, and so large it was quite scary. After he had felt he had done his duty as alpha he wanted to step down as alpha and find a mate and settle things down, but the alpha that took over was retched. Crantur was his name, he was a sly thing, but evil as Hell. When he became alpha he made everyone into a blood thirsty, killing party of the pack, attacking packs that were in there territory, and doing sneak attacks and killing pups. My father was appalled and couldn't do anything to stop it, so he left on a journey as a lone wolf. He then from what he told me, reached a land so beautiful and rich it seemed unreal, The Valley of Hope you all seem to call it. After finding this amazing land he wanted to find a mate, have pups and move to live there, but a lone wolf getting a mate was tough so he had to travel quite sometime before meeting my mom. They became mates and raised us in the deepest darkest part of the forest to keep almost anything away from us. I was born first and then a year later my sister. After I reached two weeks old though my father put me to training, I went on hunts with him, I stalked humans watching their behaviors, I watched packs from afar learning what it was like, I learned about the stars and how to keep active and stay strong. After I reached 2 by then both my parents had died and it was just my sister and I. I took care of her of course and treated her as a princess even though I was two and she was still a pup I did my job. One day though when I went out to hunt and I came back the den her and I had was closed off and fire was set off inside.....with her in it. Then I was alone and lived here in the clearing ever since. I have killed plenty of animals, survived and navigated for myself and have never once complained. Now I don't know how many of you care about my past, and I truly don't see why you need to, but realize even though I don't have battle scars from being a great alpha doesn't mean I haven't fought my own wars. My heritage and ancestors are very long line of the top alphas and will stand proud in their name. Remington kept his gaze on Kade, but kept his voice not just directed to her, but to everyone in the pack including Velvet. It hurt for him to bring up his sister, and that he had lived on his own so long, but it was his past and something he should stand proud for having fought his problems himself. He then looked around at everyone, "And I would like to add in that yes I very hungry, very thirsty, but have held off for all of you. I have not eaten anything for I had given my share the last hunt to newcomers... I would like to thank all of you though.... I now know where all of you stand and place, and feel... now I see who truly is following me and who isn't. This was a test, and observation." Remington then looked around again his last line almost sassy, smart ass like and serious. He was not surprised honestly that they considered his actions exaggerated, but it pissed him off a bit that mostly everyone would stand behind Kade like that. "And last thing Kade, don't do that again to another member of this pack without at least telling me. I do not approve of "teaching" someone a lesson. Blood is not to be shed within our pack from another member. And not to sound rude, but if you treated wolves like this when you were an alpha, doesn't matter if you were an alpha or not, thats not having any respect or kindness towards the ones that look up to you and want to learn and be the best for you. Many of the pack that follow the alphas would DIE for us. The alphas role is not just set on keeping everyone in there place its to set an example, be a role model, make them feel at home, safe, and loved, we are supposed to take care of them.. NOT to harm them! Marcel has no clue!! He had been in capture from humans, and not lived this life wild for quite some time. Why don't you show some respect, help him out and give him a chance before this happens again. I also want to add that my actions were not exaggerated anymore than they way I saw Kade treat Marcel; that was over exaggerating. There where many different ways Kade could have handled that instead of what she did." Remington then loosened up and lowered his tail back down. He saw Velvet with the rabbit and smiled, he picked the rabbit up in his jaws and nudged her to follow him. He want to go down to the river to just cold down and be alone with her. Remington didn't want to be around such negative feelings that surrounded him. He wasn't even sure if Velvet would follow him so he started to trot off to the river waiting to see if she trotted up beside him or not. 0 players like this post! Like? Twist || Female || 4 Years || Omega || Speaking to: Dakota || Mentions: Remington, Kade Twist looks into Dakota's eyes, deciding whether his intentions were pure. In truth, she trusted no one in this pack. She trusted no one, period. She had no reason to do so when all her life, since the moment she was born, she had been treated like dirt. She finally opens her jaws to speak, though her pause had probably not been more than several heartbeats. Well, yes, I guess I am. I don't recall when I last ate, actually." She jokes, then frowns slightly. "Do you feel the need to take care of me? Why?" She was truly confused. She had never had a wolf to care for her, or even shoot her a kind glance. Her brow furrows, and she tilts her head at him. She listens to his words, nodding. Everyone was indeed at twit breaking point. All the wolves were stressed out, and she was surprised some weren't in tears. Most of the wolves here had family that had died in the earthquake, after all. They weren't all like her. A lot of them did have caring packs and loved wolves inside of those packs. Most of them at least had a friend or family member who had died. She, however, had no one to mourn. She had smiled when she'd found their corpses, hadn't she? When she knew they were all dead and gone? That they couldn't hurt her anymore? She had been glad that she didn't have to see them again. How must the others think of her? Some must be appalled by her gratitude to the earthquake, didn't they? She stiffens, a growl riding in her throat. Did he think her incapable of keeping up with the pack? Did they all think she was that useless? "I can keep up fine! I don't need to stop or be worried over." She snaps, eyes flashing. Her teeth show below her rising lip, her ruff raised and stance slightly dominant. She knew he hadn't meant anything by it, he was just trying to be helpful, but she didn't want anyone's help. She had done just fine without it up until now, and she'd been through a hell of a lot more than getting a small gash on her side. She snorts as she hears Remington's speech to Kade. Yeah. Alphas having respect and kindness for others. That's exactly like her pack. That wolf needed to realize that he had to give them time to adjust. Many of them had come from very different backgrounds than he had, not all of them as full of love as his. At least he had had a family that cared about him, no matter how short their time together had been. Twist was sure if he could look into some of their pasts, he would realize that they all needed to get used to this new way and he couldn't just preach to them about how it was to be. His beliefs were radically different from her old alpha's, where no wolf was treated with complete respect. There was a very wide difference between beta, alpha, fighter, hunter, pup, and omega. Not all packs were the same. She herself would likely never become a wolf proud of her accomplishments. It had all been beaten out of her. When she had tracked an injured elk for miles before finding it and even managing to pull the cow down herself, she had still been beaten. Granted, it's intestines were practically spilling out, it was still a great feat for a wolf her size. She imagined that if Remington had brought down an elk for his family, they would have been very proud of him. She looks away, a choking knot constricting in her throat. He just had to give them all time. (I have nothing against any of you or your characters, I'm simply doing what I imagine Twist would. I love every single one of you, please no one get angry with how she's reacting ;-;) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Dakota | Male | 2 years | Lead Hunter Dakota took a moment to think about her question. Why did he want to help her? Why would he waste his time helping a stranger? Dakota stared at the ground, eyes focused, trying to figure it out. Finally his face relaxed and he looked back at the beat-up wolf in front of him. "I don't feel the need to take care of you," he told her. His expression was blank and his voice was harsh. "I just think you need to start standing up for yourself," he stopped himself. Why bother lecturing her? She had obviously been through hell. A defeated sighed escaped his mouth. He was trying hard to be like his father. His father would have made this omega into an amazing Hunter or fighter or scout; Dakota couldn't even figure out how to make a decent speech. His eyes widened in shock when she snapped at him. Slowly, his ears fell and head sank. He was only trying to be helpful. He would never make his father proud. Why was he the one to survive? If it were one of his brothers or sisters, at least they could carry on the bloodline and make great alphas. Suddenly, the feeling of defeat vanished. Had an omega just snapped at him? He grinned slightly. She was standing up for herself. He tried to conceal his grin, then turned away from her. At least she hadn't completely given up on herself. ((It's late, I'm tired, and I apologize if I missed anything or didn't answer a question or something. Just ask me if you were confused about something I wrote because I am half asleep and didn't re-read this)) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kade || Female || 5 years || Beta female Kade just rolled her eyes a little bit. Did this male even realize that not everyone had come from a perfect life, like he had? That her pack had been built on discipline, that Twist had probably never been respected in her life, that in post packs, that wasn't how things worked? Maybe he'd grown up with a father and a mother who loved him and his sister, but her mother had been killed when she and her brothers were pups. They'd been taken and had horrible things done to them, then she'd had to get out herself and find a pack. Maybe that pack that she'd found was good, but they ran things a lot differently than Remington seemed to want them done, and he didn't seem to realize that. With a sigh, the beta nudged Cyber gently. "I don't think he realizes how different we all are," she muttered, before turning away in time to see the minor confrontation between Dakota and Twist. Without hesitation, she bounded over. "Is everything alright?!" Kade asked, looking to Twist for her answer. She was taking no chances. Some part of her was worried that Remington would attempt to confront her again, but the alpha in her squashed it. She was the last alpha of the Loner pack, She of Many Scars, mate of Yorrin, daughter of Swift, and she would not take anyone's shit. Rivers || Female || 3 years || Mate of Sollux || Scout Rivers nodded. "Scouts do more than simply help with hunting," she pointed out. "If it comes to a fight with another pack, I'll most likely be there. I think I'll also be going ahead of the pack while we travel and reporting back as to what's ahead of us." She wanted him to do what would make him happy, but for some reason, the thought of him being a warrior bothered her. Sollux would be in more danger than the rest of them, because he would be fighting so that they didn't have to. Rivers had to remind herself that it was his choice, but at least he was asking her. "If you want to be a warrior, you should go for it," she added. Then she froze, watching the confrontation between Kade and Remington. Rivers made a slightly disgusted noise at the alpha's little speech about respecting everyone. In her pack, she'd been picked on because of her pelt color. He'd probably had the perfect puphood full of love and acceptance, but he couldn't expect them all of them to just change overnight to suit him. "Just because his life was good doesn't mean everyone else can just change to fit that now," she muttered. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sollux || Male || 4 years, 2 Months || Hunter -- Sollux nodded, and smiled. "Oh, I understand that, dear. Scouts play a very important role in the pack." Then he nodded. "I'm glad you think so. But again, I want to try out being a hunter. In my old pack, I was a Warrior, and my only interaction with prey was eating it!" He laughed, and it was deep, like his voice. He didn't think he had felt that rumble of laughter in a long while. "Ah, I did enjoy the rush of battle, though. I was always well prepared, and the alpha treasured me as a strong wolf, in mind, heart, and body. Viewed me as an equal." He sighed. "I wouldn't say the same about the other members of the pack, though. Couldn't view me as an equal because they viewed me as an outsider , someone who should still be romping about and hiding from the bastards out in the shadows. Told me I was favored because the alpha had too much belief in me fitting in. " He paused, and laughed. "Maybe I'll tell you more about my past later?" He stopped in his tracks when Rivers did, and look out upon the two, alpha and beta, and listened to Remmington's 'speech'. He frowned, and gave a slight nod in agreement with Rivers. "I think he needs to understand that becoming alpha doesn't mean you can change everyone and rid them of there flaws in a single snap so that he might be happy. No one is perfect. He may have been pampered and treated like a little princess once, but this is not going to be a stroll through the woods. He'll have to toughen himself up a bit. Some witty words won't fix everything." He blinked twice at the alpha before looking back at Rivers. "Don't you agree, my love?" 0 players like this post! Like? |
