Only accepted characters may post here Sign up here! Hunting Thread You have left your forest home, left without your pack. The earthquake shook a massive hole in your life. Now, you search for the Valley of Hope and for a new pack to share your life with. Before each post you must put this: With Alpha's name's Pack Character name || Sex || Age || Rank This is to make sure there is no confusion. Occasionally I will post plot updates, with weather/prey/landscapes coming into play. You’ll see what I mean after I’ve done this a few times. Every update will have ‘Plot Update’ written before it. Please take your time with your responses, and allow at least couple of people to post their own replies before you post again, even if you’re only interacting with one person at the time. This makes sure replies are well thought out, nobody is controlling someone else’s character, and everyone has the chance to get involved in whatever happens before the RP moves on from that. Pack hunts will be arranged every so often by the alpha. I will set up a hunting thread that I will link here. Once the alpha has chosen the hunters you will RP that your character has left with the hunting party, and then switch to the hunting thread to RP the hunt. This is so that characters in the hunt and in the rest of the pack don’t get confused about who is where. I find it makes things much easier to follow this way. You may hunt small prey alone here, but group hunting must be done away from the pack, in the hunting thread. You will then RP your return here, and either bring the prey or lead the pack to the prey, all in this thread. Only hunting will take place in the hunting thread. My rule of at least four sentences per post is absolute. If you don’t follow this you will get a strike by your name. Three strikes and you will no longer be allowed to rp here. I may remove a strike if you post a lot of detail in your next few posts. Strikes Nobody :3 let’s keep it that way, yeah? The last thing to say is have fun everyone! Current Plot Update The wolf pack travelled across the soaked plains and have come to the base of the mountain. The rains have passed for now and the sun shines down. However, they must make the decision to either go around or over the mountains. They will soon encounter new wolves, but whether this be a good or bad encounter is up to their choice! Spring is still here and flowers will soon bloom. Character SheetsNo thread generated. The original poster of this RP thread will be able to generate one for this feature.0 players like this post! Ralden || Male || 14 years old || Loner A dark male moved through the forest, his walk more of a stumbling limp than anything else. His pelt, once pure black, was a mix of dark blotchy greys and near whites. The fur collected in matted patches, almost completely fallen out in areas. He showed no physical injury, just the signs of old age. His body was almost at is limit, the urge to make up for the fact that he survived the only thing driving him forward. He deserved no help, no remorse, for he had lived when the young of his pack had needlessly died. Ralden paused to cough, struggling to pull in a few breaths before his breathing returned to normal. He dipped his head and scented the air, barely able to detect the presence of the scent trail he was following. Luckily it had been laid not long ago so his feeble nose was still able to pick it up. He was following the pack that the wolf pup he’d been trailing had joined. Unknown to her, he’d been following her since the earthquake. He would dedicate his life to making sure that she survived to have a future. If his great grandchildren wouldn’t have a future then he would make sure another pup would have one in his place. It was the least he could do. His ears could just about pick up the sound of a fight ahead and he pushed himself on, trying to get to the pup. He hadn’t revealed himself to the pack yet, didn’t deserve to have their protection, but he stepped into sight just as Kade was finishing off one of the coyotes. He saw the other run, and saw the pup. Just because the creature was running didn’t mean the young one would be out of danger. It could turn around while the female adult was distracted. With this in mind, knowing that his own life was worth nothing, he stepped into the path of the coyote with a snarl. It was startled, not expecting his action, and crashed into him with a yelp. Ralden was knocked over with a cough, grimacing as his weak bones knocked on the hard ground. The coyote leapt up and over him, rushing away, and Ralden shakily pulled himself to his feet. The pup was safe, that’s all that mattered. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Remington || Male || 4 years || Alpha Remington's Face Remington's Body(more muscle though) Remington's ear twitched as he lay there, he could hear Velvet's voice in the distance so he assumed she was making a statement of some sort. As it seemed to fall quiet he flicked his tail, and took inhaled deeply taking in the surrounding scents. He grinned ever so slightly as he could smell Velvet, but didn't want to ruin the moment. Then watched as Velvet leaped out from the undergrowth into the water trying to catch fish and splashing. Remington barked, wagging his til cheering her on. He laughed as she was soaked and adorable. As she shook out her pelt and walked over and pressed against him he watched her with loving and hopeful eyes. "Well my lovely thank you for cleaning up my mess. That was a good idea actually..." Remington then paused standing up flexing his muscles and circled Velvet, "Because now I have a great treat ll to myself, all alone, all the way out here." Remington then did his deep growl and playfully but carefully leaped at her side nipping at her and pinned her down. As she was down he stood over her looking down into her eyes and leaned his head down and licked her ear and cheek. His tail swayed as he looked deep into Velvet's eyes. "My aren't you a gorgeous thing?" Remington nipped her ear gently and tried to make her feel and sense him strength and hopefully put her in the mood that he was now in. 0 players like this post! Cyber | Female | 3 years | Loner A wide smile spread across Cyber's face at his response. "I'm glad I won't be travelling alone," she told him. "I was scared to leave to be honest. I really liked them." She admitted, head down. She looked back up at him, trying to hide the shakiness from her voice and sadness from her eyes. She meant to say that about her temporary pack, but it also referred to her family pack. She tried her hardest to forget about it and stay positive, but it was difficult. She tried smiling a bit to reassure him that she was going to be ok, but it was obviously fake. Her ears went back and her tail hung down. "I'm...I'm sorry," she mumbled, forcing away tears. "I just miss my family so much," she choked out. She tried to not cry and reminded herself that Raven probably lost people in the earthquake too. "It's hard trying to forget them... I wasn't on good terms with them either...." She told him. She walked up to him and pressed her head into his chest and began crying. She only let herself cry for a minute or two, then she forced herself to stop. She couldn't give up. She was young and had her life to look forward to. She had wanted pups for a long time, but after the earthquake it just seemed so impossible. She looked up at Raven. "Thanks for staying with me," she said to him, rubbing her head against his. ((Didn't look over it so sorry if it doesn't make sense)) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Raoula|Female|4 years old|Hunter Raoula nodded to Nova. "You too," she said, as the other she-wolf disappeared into the forest. She looked up as she saw Ro wheeling overhead; he suddenly flew out over the forest, cawing. She watched him until he was out of sight and turned to the trees. She began to pad between the trees, taking in the rich, musty scents of earth and leaf litter. Towering oaks rose protectively around her, while other trees lay felled between their trunks, victims of the earthquake. Raoula leaped over scarred and torn ground, upended boulders and streams that had changed their course. Evidence of the earthquake was everywhere. Still, the largest, strongest trees still cast their shade over her, light and shade dappling her pelt like before as she walked. She fell into an easy trot, scenting the air. When she reached the edge of a river, she saw a sleek, tawny shape hidden in the underbrush. Immediately, she turned her head to look, and just as she did so a coyote flashed past her, leaping from the cover of the brush and running along the mud in front of her. She only turned her head as she watched it run, soon vanishing into the woods. She walked along the stream, pebbles rolling under her pads. The faint scent of deer was laid on the ground and she followed the trail, her meandering pace changing to the hunter's purposeful trot. As she stole silently through the undergrowth, she saw a deer fawn standing on shaky legs before her. It did not see her as she blended with the shadows. The mother was nearby, feeding, but her eyes were not trained on the fawn, but on the forest. Raoula drew closer and closer to the forest edge, bunched her muscles and sprang like a puma. She landed fully on the fawn, knocking it easily to the ground without a sound. The mother turned her head, but now she saw her fawn pinned under a slavering wolf. There was nothing she could do. She ran towards the herd, bleating and kicking her hooves. The rest of the deer, feeding some distance away, started and ran, thundering some way away until Raoula could no longer see them. Somewhere, in some thicket, they must have resumed their feeding. The she-wolf dropped her head, turning her attention back to the fawn. She killed it before it could squeal. Stepping off the small body, she took it by the neck and dragged her kill into a clearing, where she dropped it. The meat awoke a new hunger in her and she plunged her jaws into the flesh, tearing and gulping, eating her kill. When she was finished, she left the bones and scraps of hide to the scavengers. While she cleaned her muzzle in the stream, she saw the coyote she had seen earlier emerge warily and begin to eat her leftovers. 0 players like this post! Like? |

((Too lazy for centering and fancy text tonight.)) Raven | Male | 2 Years Old | Scout (Formally) --- Mentions: Cyber "Can I ask why you're leaving?" Raven asked softly, leaning closer to her in clear concern. "I heard how that male spoke to you. He had no right. A simple disagreement doesn't give any wolf permission to talk to a packmate in such a way." Raven may have never been a pack wolf, but somehow he imagined that must be true. How would any pack function if they talked to each other so cruelly when they didn't agree about something? Once Cyber explained her situation with her former family it all made sense. "Don't be sorry, none of that was your fault," he replied softly. When she began to sob and pressed herself against him he couldn't help the small whine that escaped his maw. His heart ached for the grief-stricken she-wolf and he rested his chin against her neck as she cried into his chest fur. Despite what Cyber was thinking he had lost no one in the quake. He'd already been alone. It was hard to imagine losing everyone you loved all in one go. He returned the nuzzling gesture once she recovered and thanked him for staying. "You're welcome. Thank you for letting me tag along. I have a feeling we'll make a good team," he replied with a genuine smile. He could never replace Cyber's birth pack, but hopefully he could be a reliable companion for her. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 20/09/15 @ 20:38:55 by Topaz (Side) (#33365) |

Cyber | Female | 3 years | Loner Cyber smiled. "Me too," she replied quietly. Having him here gave her a sense of security. She got a warm feeling in her heart, one she hadn't felt in a very long time. She rubbed her head gently against his chest, enjoying the moment while she could. She took a deep breathe before pulling away. "Maybe we should find something to eat," she suggested, walking a couple steps away. "It's getting late." She stated, looking up at the sky. Cyber began walking into the forest, weaving between trees. She could smell a rabbit but couldn't see it. She strained her eyes trying to see the brown fur among the leaves. She took a few careful steps forward, head low, looking for her victim. She stops moving as the rabbit comes into view. It's head and ears are straight up, looking for danger. Cyber waits a few minutes, not dating to move a single muscle. The moment the rabbit's head lowered, she ran as fast as she could straight for the small animal. It was easy to kill. With a simple but to the neck, it hung limp from her mouth. She trotted back to Raven with her head high as if it were a trophy in her mouth. She dropped it so it lay between them. "I ate the other day so I'm not very hungry," she told him. She looked at Raven, concerned. "When was the last time you ate?" She asked him. She didn't remember him eating when he was with them, and hunting alone is challenging as it is. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Nova | | Female | | 3 years | | Fighter Nodding her head at Raoula, Nova disappeared into the sparse forest her onyx hide camouflaging her as she padded through the woods knowing that she would find little food if she found any at all. Suddenly Nova heard an odd grunting noise from the brush, as she creeped along in a almost catlike stalk Nova saw a flash of a tusk and knew that the noise was coming from a warthog, a young and small one most likely. Warthogs were dangerous creatures because of their aggressiveness and sharp, deadly tusks...normally Nova would steer clear of such dangerous prey, but she knew this was likely the only creature she would come across and her hunger was deep. An experienced hunter from her time as a loner, Nova crept up behind the young hog and leapt high into the air landing on the unsuspecting creature’s back and digging her claws into it bristly hide while biting the back of its neck. Giving her head a violent shake Nova broke the hogs neck stopping it’s enraged bucking motions. Dragging her kill back to where she was to meet Raoula, Nova hungrily started to eat the young female hog, savoring the slightly bitter taste in her ravenous hunger. At the sound of flapping wings Nova raised her head just as Ro landed beside her and started to eat some scraps of food. “Silly bird what were you doing out in the forest cawing like a maniac? Did you see some lady bird that caught your fancy? Nova asked her companion, not knowing that she had been to far away to hear the panic in his voice signaling real danger. Ro gave Nova an imperious stare as he ruffled his feathers making the onyx wolf laugh with barely concealed humor. Heaving out a sigh Nova layed down next to the bones of her kill, waiting for Raoula to return from her hunt. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Raoula|Female|4 years old|Hunter Raoula padded out of the forest, tailtip twitching. Her head turned from side to side as she scented the air, treading the familiar path to meet Nova. The forest was dark and silent all around her. Suddenly, up ahead, she heard the sound of commotion. Undergrowth being torn, the squealing, grunting sounds of a warthog. Raoula broke into a run, somewhat spooked but hoping it was Nova. By the time she got there, the sounds had quietened down. Creeping forwards, she saw Nova ahead of her, lying by the bones of her kill. Feeling a sense of relief, she ran out of the bushes with a happy yip. "Hello!" she exclaimed. 0 players like this post! Cyber | Female | 3 years | Loner Cyber looked around, dropping the rabbit at her feet. "Raven?" She called out, confused. She cocked her head then sniffed the air. Where is he? She circled around, looking for the male. A defeated sigh escaped her mouth. Tired and sad, she decided to curl up and eat her small meal. Cyber walked over to the large tree, laying on its roots. Her tail lay limp at her paws and she sunk her fangs into the meat. After a few bites she licked her bloodied mouth. Raven... Had he changed his mind? Cyber couldn't help but wonder why he would disappear. The thoughts trailed off as Cyber grew tired. Her jaws opened wide as a weak yawn let out. Exhausted from the eventful day, she lowered her head and closed her eyes, drifting off to sleep. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Kade || Female || 5 years || Beta female Kade found herself at the edge of the woods. She'd not been able to get a reply from Luna, and had simply left her there. For some reason, she hadn't seen Raven or Marcel around, but whatever. Because she was at the edge, the beta threw back her head and howled to let the others know, before sitting and curling up. The entire way, she'd seen no one, except a fleeting glance of Sollux and Rivers, who were traveling together. Ahead of them seemed to be a massive plain of grasses, but it looked like rain, and she wasn't sure if they should continue into what could possibly be a large thunderstorm. It would take longer to go around but traveling would be easier, food more plentiful, and they'd probably be less miserable. Rivers || Female (Mate of Sollux) || 3 years || Scout Rivers was running alongside Sollux. She noticed Kade's howl and decided that they weren't far from the beta. "Did you hear that?" she asked, not breaking stride at all, though she did turn her head to see her companion. "I think it was Kade, and she found the edge. It's not that much farther." She wasn't tired because that wasn't how wolves worked. She didn't consider that she'd be tired later, so Rivers was flying over the ground with ease, her strides long and graceful, good for going long distances without tiring herself out. 0 players like this post! Velvet || Female || 4 years || Remington’s Mate || Alpha Female Velvet’s appearance Velvet had been glad to spend some time alone with Remington. Being with her mate made her feel more at ease, balanced out in every way. She knew that the pack had all needed a chance to cool down. After all, meeting everyone had been the first socialising since their old packs were destroyed for many of them. Emotions were running high and everyone needed the chance to think for themselves about what was best for their own future. Still, she was optimistic for the future. Being with Remington and all the talk about pups, she had found herself wishing she was in heat when she had found him alone. They weren’t in an ideal situation to start a family, but then she didn’t know if they ever would be. She lifted her head as Kade’s howl sounded from nearby. Tail wagging, she trotted in that direction. She’d only been away from the pack for a short time but already she found herself missing them. As the beta’s scent hit her she sped up, bounding the last few paces joyfully to run into the other female. Velvet jumped up and tugged playfully at Kade’s scruff, her greeting a routine one that pack wolves knew; a way to remind yourself of pack bonds and rejoice in uniting again. ”Hello again Kade,” she smiled, wagging her tail, ”I trust the day treated you well?” Velvet stepped back, still grinning, and gave herself a moment to take in the sight beyond the woods. Having lived in woodland her whole life, the wide, open grassland was new and somewhat intimidating. Far in the distance were large mountains, the likes of which she’d never seen either. She could tell that getting there would take a while but was curious. Was the Valley of Hope within that mountain range? She looked back, hoping Remington was right by her. In her eagerness to greet Kade she’d darted away. ”Remington,” she called out as she turned her head back, ”What do you make of that?” She was referring to the plains and mountains that she was trying to get her own head around. Perhaps another packmate would have experience with this sort of land and know how to approach. There was no cover out there; whether that was a good or bad thing she didn’t know. She scented the air and turned to Kade. ”It seems like a storm’s approaching. I hope everyone reaches us before it hits. It’s much better to be in a group during a storm. Did you see anyone on your way here?” 0 players like this post! Like? |

Nova | | Female | | 3 years | | Fighter Nova greeted Raoula with enthusiasm…. “ You have had a good hunt?” The small onyx wolf asked as she got up from her position and started towards the edge of the clearing once again. As she and Raoula got on the move Nova was aware of a light sprinkling as the two wolves finally broke the clearing finding the Alpha female and Beta already at the edge of the clearing watching the huge and deadly clouds as they rolled in from the plain. Nova had spent some of her time in the plain before she had joined this new pack and knew just how horrible a rain storm could be without cover...but that had never mattered to the young wolf...she loved the danger and the smell of a rain storm in full power and she wanted with most of her heart to start the journey now...but she had fellow pack members to think of and many who had no idea just what they would be risking in such a unprotected area. 0 players like this post! Remington || Male || 4 years || Alpha Remington's Face Remington's Body(more muscle though) Remington could see the happiness in Velvet and was riled up, but then once he had hear Kade's howl in the distance Velvet was quickly off. Remington then stood there alone, and sighed, everything always seemed to end so quickly. Remington then stood at the rivers edge looking at his reflection in the water. There used to be a time when he would look at his reflection and there would be others standing by him, but now he stood looking at just himself. He leaned down take a drink of water raising his head, water dripping from his muzzle. He lifted his nose high into the air and took deep breathe smelling a conjuring storm. Remington shook out his pelt then slowly trotted off into the direction he heard Kade. As Remington neared closer to the scent of the rest of the wolves, he slowed down his paced and walked to them. As he saw Velvet turn round to him asking him of the directions they should take he sort of seemed to ignore her. Kade was a strong and rugid wolf for sure, but he also longed for a lot of affection. He got annoyed with how easily Velvet could show him affection and be having fun and then the next have her off in a flash leaving him there alone. He walked passed Velvet to Kade and looked out into the distance, and to the mountain range and the surrounding geography before them. Remington sighed, wanting to put the quarrel in the past with Kade, "I am thinking stay to the bottom of the mountains and remain along the tree line, surely there, if any left will be pack in the center of the forests. " Remington felt bad for passing by Velvet but hoped it would have her see things differently. Remington cold just be like some other males to there mate and see them as just a breeding buddy not anything more than just a way to reproduce. He saw Velvet as something equal to him, and showed love, and cared, but could change. " Are there any signs of the rest of the pack yet or no Kade?" Remington stood tall looking out into the woods behind them and let out a deep howl, for anyone left alerting them to pick up there pace. 0 players like this post! Like?
