Only accepted characters may post here Sign up here! Hunting Thread You have left your forest home, left without your pack. The earthquake shook a massive hole in your life. Now, you search for the Valley of Hope and for a new pack to share your life with. Before each post you must put this: With Alpha's name's Pack Character name || Sex || Age || Rank This is to make sure there is no confusion. Occasionally I will post plot updates, with weather/prey/landscapes coming into play. You’ll see what I mean after I’ve done this a few times. Every update will have ‘Plot Update’ written before it. Please take your time with your responses, and allow at least couple of people to post their own replies before you post again, even if you’re only interacting with one person at the time. This makes sure replies are well thought out, nobody is controlling someone else’s character, and everyone has the chance to get involved in whatever happens before the RP moves on from that. Pack hunts will be arranged every so often by the alpha. I will set up a hunting thread that I will link here. Once the alpha has chosen the hunters you will RP that your character has left with the hunting party, and then switch to the hunting thread to RP the hunt. This is so that characters in the hunt and in the rest of the pack don’t get confused about who is where. I find it makes things much easier to follow this way. You may hunt small prey alone here, but group hunting must be done away from the pack, in the hunting thread. You will then RP your return here, and either bring the prey or lead the pack to the prey, all in this thread. Only hunting will take place in the hunting thread. My rule of at least four sentences per post is absolute. If you don’t follow this you will get a strike by your name. Three strikes and you will no longer be allowed to rp here. I may remove a strike if you post a lot of detail in your next few posts. Strikes Nobody :3 let’s keep it that way, yeah? The last thing to say is have fun everyone! Current Plot Update The wolf pack travelled across the soaked plains and have come to the base of the mountain. The rains have passed for now and the sun shines down. However, they must make the decision to either go around or over the mountains. They will soon encounter new wolves, but whether this be a good or bad encounter is up to their choice! Spring is still here and flowers will soon bloom. Character SheetsNo thread generated. The original poster of this RP thread will be able to generate one for this feature.0 players like this post! With Shadow's Pack Vulcan || Male || 1 year || Pup Seeing Twist bare her teeth at him, Vulcan shrunk away before hiding behind a larger wolf. He knew he couldn't convince Twist to stay, but maybe he could stay behind himself. Maybe Shadow wouldn't ask him to prove himself. Maybe he could just stay behind, fade into the shadows and be forgotten. As if that would happen. The Alpha would likely force him to pick a wave. It didn't mean that the small wolf couldn't hope, though. He had only recently hit the one-year mark, but part of him wished to be a pup forever. 0 players like this post! Like? |

With Shadow's pack Soturi || Fighter || Female || 3 Years Soturi was sitting a few yards away from the other dogs, just as Shadow barked for their attention, Soturi turned around. Her fiery eyes falling on the sadistic brute as he planned to attack trespassers. She couldn't help but agree with him, yet she wondered if they were just passing through? Either way, the muscular and scarred female stepped up and towards her alpha. "I'll be in either wave, sir." She dipped her head submissively. If she were talkining to anyone else, she'd probably end up digging her teeth and claws into their body. Nonetheless, she looked back up, watching as some of her pack-mates started to argue about who's better. That was, until Shadow shut them up. Her ears perked forward as Hazel walked forward, Soturi tilted her head slightly as everyone else basically whimpered. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 28/12/15 @ 14:12:24 by Rabs (#66390) |

Kova | Male Hunter | 4 Years | Shadow’s Pack Relaxing under a nearby boulder head on paws Kova watched as the wolves debated who was going to fight first, why so much excitement to fight and shed others blood? Kova did not understand why these wolves were so eager to attack this pack apparently born of wolves who had recently see tragedy. Giving a huff of breath Kova watched with something bordering on boredom...he would probably be called on sooner or later since his hunting skills translated easily while fighting. Until then though the male was not going to volunteer himself and was content to study how each pack members body language to better determine their mood. He had been with this pack since birth and it was not the first time the hunter was tired of how aggressive these wolves were to each other. Lynx | Female Fighter | 4 Years, 5 Months | Shadow’s Pack Lynx watched from where she sat behind the other wolves her bright blue gaze locked on Shadow not reflecting the one thought that sat prominently in her mind. The invader pack had given her the perfect chance to get Shadow alone...or at least a place where help would not be readily available. For years she had waited silently for an opportunity like this to present itself so she could enact revenge on the alpha male for what he had done to her mother and brother. As only a pup she had hated him unconditionally having seen him murder both of her known relatives. As she got older she came to understand, at least partially, why he had killed her mother...but to kill a defenseless pup was something Lynx could not forgive especially when it had been her brother, the one and only friend the female had ever had. The alpha had enjoyed the killing so…. Perhaps if he was on the receiving end he would not enjoy it so much. For years Lynx had plotted, fighting her way to the best in combat out of all of the wolves within the pack an impressive feat considering many of these wolves had a knack for fighting. Once, she had contemplated challenging Ezrin for her rank as Beta, thought the wolf was a worthy enemy she was younger and less experienced...but that would ultimately require a mate something Lynx was not willing to sacrifice for revenge. She had stayed as a fighter earning a reputation within the pack for being loyal to Shadow and for being extremely dangerous. Blue gaze turning icy Lynx let her eyes wander over the wolves meeting several gazes and the flinch that often resulted. Silently getting up Lynx moved toward the front of the pack quietly stating her intent. “I will be in the second wave, Shadow as to back you up.” Gaze looking around the pack Lynx eyed Vulcan shrinking behind another wolf. She did not know the pup well, but his behavior worried her...no wolf within this pack survived long if they were submissive and the female did not wish for him to end up like her brother. At the very least he would have the option to leave the territory not uncommon habit for young males. Participating in a real fight might help him find the courage to stand up for himself. Expressionless eyes switching toward the alpha Lynx spoke again uncommon for a wolf for so few words. “Perhaps the pup, Vulcan, should join the second wave Alpha...this is an excellent opportunity for him to see a real fight.” Lynx them became quiet, not about to say another word, internally preparing herself for the fight to come...whether she survived the fight with Shadow or not the female was content in the knowledge that she would do her very best to accomplish her task. 0 players like this post! Aatu|Male|5 years old|Fighter Aatu staggered back towards the others. He had been separated from them in the forest, and after wandering about in confusion for some time he had tracked their scent across the plains to find them at the foot of the mountain. "Hello," he said, exhausted, as he neared. All he wanted to do was lie down and sleep, but he couldn't do that yet. He sat down heavily, heaving a breath of air, and looked around. It seemed some others had also been lost in the forest. The pack looked a lot smaller. He got up with difficulty, as it seemed a hunt was being organised. There seemed to be only two hunters, so he supposed he had better help. 0 players like this post! Like? |

With Shadow's Pack Vulcan || Male || 1 year || Pup The young wolf, upon hearing his name called by Lynx, froze in fear. He wished to just vanish right then, but he slowly stepped out from behind the wolf he was behind, slowly straightening himself up as he shook on his four paws. His head was still lower, but he looked to Lynx, as if asking why she called him out on that... Vulcan was terrified, no doubt, but the pup would do anything the Alpha told him, if not from loyalty then from pure fear. It occurred to him that the confusion of a fight would be a chance to escape, but if he did... What would he do? He didn't even consider that other wolves would turn on their own pack, and he would possibly have a home to go to instead of wandering the forests alone, without anyone to help him. He couldn't even run that fast. 0 players like this post! Like? |

With Remington’s pack Velvet || Female || 4 years || Remington’s Mate || Alpha Female Velvet’s appearance Velvet startled when Remington nipped her rump, jumping up a little, and quickly turned her head to look as he brushed up against her. She bumped against his side as they walked, sharing his scent, and reciprocated his licks with her own on his neck and face. She noticed his ears flicking and felt a stir of affection toward him and pride that he was her mate. He cared so much for their pack and in years to come as trust between them all built up she knew that would be invaluable. When the neared the bushes Velvet once again bounded ahead, laughing as she went. Her gait was bouncy as she turned a sharp corner, momentarily disappearing from site behind the bush. She spun around to face Remington as he barked and immediately dropped into a play bow, tail rising high over her rump. She was very confident in how appealing she was and had never been afraid to flaunt it. She wagged her tail, eyes gleaming with cheek, and barked at him in response. Velvet jumped up, front paws momentarily landing on her mate’s shoulders before she fell back to all fours. Her body was taught and tense as she waited for a moment before springing towards him against, head colliding into his chest. ”Remington,” she practically purred, moving around him and giving him a flick on the nose with her tail, ”It’s nice to finally get some time alone with you.” --------------------------- With Shadow’s pack Shadow nodded at Fang and Whirlwind, a smirk spreading across his face as the siblings squabbled. Whereas other alphas tried to stop this behaviour to balance their pack he encouraged it. If a wolf couldn’t stand up to the rough and tumble of the pups in the pack then there was no way they would survive as an adult here. ”Hazel,” he greeted the female, ”First wave I take it?” ”Yes, sir,” she nodded, sitting before him. Shadow was pleased that one of his best hunters had stepped forward, though he hadn’t thought anything else would happen. Recently birthing a litter wouldn’t stop Hazel from serving her pack. He looked to his other hunters, Twist and Kova, to see if they would also take first wave. As a team they worked well together and kept the pack fed; Shadow saw no reason why this wouldn’t translate to a coordinated attack by the three of them. Of course, as expected, Twist took stepped up next. ”We’ll give them the fight of their lives, Twist,” Whirlwind grinned maliciously at the recently joined femme who she’d spent a fair amount of time with. ”Kova,” Shadow snapped, seeing him lazy under a nearby boulder, ”Since you have yet to volunteer yourself you will go with the first wave. Do not leave your fellow hunting party to battle with only part of their team.” The alpha then turned at the sound of claws clacking against the rock. ”Ah, Ezrin,” Shadow looked to his beta female as she appeared. She was without her mate but Shadow how no doubt that he’d turn up soon. As expected merely seconds later Ajax appeared beside her, also volunteering for the first wave. ”Well this Kade and her mate won’t get the chance to be up in the early morning as we’ll be attacking at night. Have they or this Wild’s family got any strengths or weaknesses we can exploit?” Shadow turned to one of his younger fighters and thought about it for a moment. The first wave was now fairly large so his decision was not hard. ”Soturi, you will be second wave. Prepare to spring an attack whilst this pack are busy defending against the first wave.” He nodded absently at Lynx also volunteering for the second wave, snarling lips curling up over his teeth. She had been kept around for her fighting spirit but he was never happy to have her in the pack. She was the offspring of a traitor who had mated with one outside the pack and hardly deserved to be among them. Still, her skills had proved useful and, like now, she occasionally had some interesting thoughts on situations. ”Vulcan,” he called, unsure where the yearling was, ”Come out from whatever hole you’ve scurried into and sit before me!” 0 players like this post! Remington || Male || 4 years || Alpha Remington's Face Remington's Body(more muscle though) Remington sniffed the air as she ran ahead of him, her smell flowing back. As she jumped out of the bushes and onto his shoulders and started to talk to him, he could tell she was in a flirtatious and teasing mood. Remington deeply growled watching her go around him and licked his muzzle. "I'm glad to be able to spend some quality time with you to sweetheart, it's hard not to show you as much affection as I would like, having to look after the pack and all." Remington then stood tall and tensed up, wagging his tail watching every move she made, every muscle quiver. He then layed down rolling on his back, revealing his fluffy underbelly. He batted at her as he made light whining noises as he rubbed his back in the dirt, yipped and batted his paws, acting like a puppy. "Come gorgeous you know you can't take a strong brute like me on, u challenge you to a friendly wrestling match" Remington growled and grinned with amusement and lust, wanting to have a good time. 0 players like this post! Kade || Female || 5 years || Beta female Mentions: Everyone hunting. Kade did a quick head count. "Actually, we don't have enough wolves for anyone to not go on this hunt, Remington and Velvet excluded," she noted, and joined where others seemed to be gathering. "Okay. Where's Dakota? I don't think I saw him anywhere . . . Probably was just late. Aatu just came in, too. I haven't seen any big prey animals, so we many need to split up into pairs and catch smaller things like rabbits. Before we do that, however, we can look in the forest a bit." When Rivers spoke, Kade nodded. "That's a good idea, Rivers. There shouldn't be any danger, so if you'd rather, you can go alone." She had no way of knowing that there was a pack around, and really was going her best to keep anything from happening with the young female. Rivers || Female || 3 years || Scout Mentions: Rivers nodded as Kade spoke. "Well, I'm a scout - I can go with one or two others, and we can check for large prey while the rest of you hunt down rabbits and stuff. The more, the merrier - right? And if we find a deer or something, we can have whatever y'all catch, and that," she said, practically bouncing up and down at the prospect of a hunt. She was hungry and ready for sink her teeth into something good. When Kade suggested she could go alone - probably doing her best to keep a male from being alone with her - Rivers nodded eagerly. "Okay! I'll go now." With that, she was off, loping alone across the grasslands and disappearing into the forest that ringed the mountain. ((I'm just gonna stop writing here and we can all assume the thing happened and I'll pick back up with her in a few posts.)) Ezrin || Female || 2 years || With Shadow's Pack "Well, Wild's brothers will always go out of their way to protect her, even if it's putting themselves in danger, and last time I heard - a couple months ago - Wild herself was having pups. She also won't kill anyone, and won't let her brothers, either," Ezrin said. "Kade and her mate, Yorrin, fight best when together, and if you injure one, the other will almost always try and help them before they continue fighting." All of this was true, but she didn't mention that she was absolutely certain Shadow's pack was going to lose this one. "Ajax, love, there's something I'd like to talk to you about before the attack. In private," she added, speaking to her 'mate'. They were actually pretty good friends, but Ezrin loved pretending to be in love with him because she was so good at it, and it was funny that everyone was buying it. 0 players like this post! Like? With Shadow's Pack Vulcan || Male || 1 year || Pup Vulcan froze when his name was called, and he slowly crept out of the crowd, tail tucked with his ears drawn back, taking cautious steps forward. He was lowering himself to the ground as he padded up, trying not to shake as much as he felt his paws, or else he might fall down. Looking up at the Alpha, he felt the same tinge of fear he always felt. Obediently the yearling sat down, still lowering his head in respect to his undeniable future rank. "Y... Yes, A-Alpha...?" Vulcan swallowed a whimper. 0 players like this post! Like? |

( Keep in mind that this is Kova's point of view, but if I am off a mile about how you want your wolf to be represented than please tell me, I'll edit) Kova | Male Hunter | 4 Years | Shadow’s Pack Kova obediently got up as Shadow snapped at him ordering him to join his fellow hunters in the first wave. He walked over to stand behind Twist keeping his distance from Hazel...both wolves were vicious in battle, yet Hazel seemed to enjoy fighting more and had a tendency to jump wolves without warning just to get a point across, something Kova noted and filed away making sure to avoid her as often as possible. Let the other wolves question and challenge her dominance, Kova did not care to bear the scars that would no doubt result from such a confrontation. Some wolves within the pack, in Kova’s opinion, one was better off not even trying to speak to,those wolves being Hazel, Ajax, who had been know to kill wolves for a simple mistake, Fang, Whirlwind and Shadow himself who was rumored to have killed pack members as well. Lynx was not likely to attack for little to no reason though she would wreck any wolf who dared attack her, Lynx tended to be more uncommunicative than other wolves often making a situation feel less friendly than it actually was. Ezrin, Twist and Soturi where all great warriors respectively and where the most friendly when approached for simple conversation, Ezrin being the most friendly out of the three but also more inaccessible due to her higher rank within the pack. Vulcan was often too nervous to even speak too though he was not necessarily unfriendly, out of all the wolves he was the safest to approach since his actual fighting skills were lacking. As he stood there waiting for the attack to begin Kova looked in the direction this pack was said to be located...hopefully they would escape the horror that was about to fall upon them...Kova had lived his whole life within Shadow’s Pack and he did not know one more viscous or filled with warriors than the pack he stood with now. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lynx | Female Fighter | 4 Years, 5 Months | Shadow’s Pack A smirk curved over Lynx’s lips at Shadow’s silent snarl as she spoke, he had always disliked her and had only ever tolerated her presence in the pack, despite her ‘loyalty’ to him. Lynx had no doubt that if she had not lived up to his expectations when it came to her fighting skills that she would not have been standing where she was now. Disinterested with the rest of the conversation, Lynx’s gaze wandered over the various wolves within the pack, many of these wolves bore scars the only exception being the extremely young, cunning or lucky. Lynx’s own onyx and gray-blue pelt held a few scars, two puncture wounds on her left shoulder from some nasty human material they had left behind as well as two scars on her face. The one across her muzzle from an elder fighter Lynx had finally defeated in the fight for dominance and the other, measuring from between her eyes to right before her left ear, a reminder from Shadow himself that her mother was a ‘traitor’ to his pack as well as a warning not to attack him again, which she had done as a small pup after seeing him kill her brother, Lion. As her thoughts wandered to her dead brother, Lynx’s attention once again focused on Vulcan. If one was watching very closely they would have see her allow her icy blue eyes to thaw a little becoming a more welcoming sky blue in response to the look Vulcan gave her. The look the pup gave her was heart wrenching, but with little effort Lynx was able to hide her emotions, the urge to comfort the pup and protect him buried beneath pure force of will. Hiding her emotions came naturally to Lynx, who did not excel in the art of communication, especially communication through words. Practice had enable Lynx to master this skill becoming a indecipherable puzzle to all those but the most sensitive wolves. At times Lynx regretted her inability to communicate what she thought and felt, but those regrets were few and far between, not often popping up in a pack that so relied on violence, fighting, and fear to glue them together. Watching the young wolf Lynx’s blue eyes became more focused which might have come across as intimidating or even disappointment, but was actually a result of her encouraging almost harsh thoughts. The pup should not cower so in front of Shadow, such an action would only make the violent wolf want to hurt him more. Internally Lynx was giving the pup orders though she was not making a sound in real life. Straighten your shoulders, raise your tail a little, not much, perk your ears forward and strive for a casual pose, don’t meet his eyes but at least look at his chest instead of your feet. And dammit pup, if you can not keep control of your voice than don’t speak at all! More frustrated than she had been since her first hunting lesson Lynx stood as still and as silent as a statue her face rock hard as she gazed at the cowering male and his alpha. 0 players like this post! Dakota || Male || 2 years || Lead Hunter Dakota looked around at the small group of wolves. He thought about all the others who had once been apart of the group, and hoped that they could find their own 'safe place'. His plan was to eventually arrive at the Valley of Hope, it hadn't occurred to him that there may be other packs that had created their own 'Valley of Hope'. Why can't we just find a place to settle down, somewhere other than the Valley of Hope? We could find a territory to call ours, it'd be much safer than travelling... He couldn't stop the thoughts, even though he knew he needed to trust the alphas. He stood and began walking towards the pack when he saw Rivers. She seemed a little nervous. He began to approach her when she walked away by herself. She hadn't seen him so he didn't bother trying to catch her attention. Instead he turned his attention to Kade. "Ready to hunt?" He asked with a tired huff. He was hungry and tired, excited to rest with a full stomach. He couldn't help but glance in the direction Rivers had gone. Sollux wasn't around, so Dakota felt an odd need to look after her. He hesitated before asking Kade: "Is Rivers okay? I don't mean to be nosey, im just... concerned." He tried to hide his worry for her. She seemed very anxious earlier, he didn't want her to be alone. He sighed then looked back at Kade. Trying to get focused he began glancing at each of the wolves, checking their physical well-being. He didn't want a hunter to be wounded or weak, it could put other hunters at risk. He shook out his fur and tried to wake up a bit, he needed to be alert. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 30/12/15 @ 22:19:43 by NightSky01 (#52637) |

With Remington’s pack Velvet || Female || 4 years || Remington’s Mate || Alpha Female Velvet’s appearance Velvet smiled affectionately at Remington as he spoke, agreeing silently with him. As much as she wanted to spend all day brushing against her mate, playing and talking with him, she knew that spending time with the pack was also important. They needed to find the right balance, so that neither the pack nor each other felt slighted by having less attention shown to them. A wolf was only strong because of its pack, it needed pack to survive; Velvet whole heartedly believed that. However a wolf also needed family, had the instinctual urge to find a mate and reproduce. Both were equally important, especially to one who’d already experienced losing everything. ”The pack is important, but so are you,” she nudged him, ”I’m glad to spend time solely with my handsome mate.” Her heart jumped as he suddenly tensed, standing tall. She could feel the atmosphere around them shifting, having contributed to it herself with her teasing of Remington. She’d never had a mate, no male every having been worthy enough in her eyes, so she didn’t know how to react. However it could never be said that Velvet wasn’t a confident wolf. Her flirting with males may have toned right down since gaining a mate, but that didn’t mean her confidence was lost. On the contrary, that part of her now lurked unexpectedly beneath the surface to any who’d never seen her prior to having a mate. She let out a laugh as he fell to the floor, exposing his stomach. ”You goof,” she lightly mocked, jumping to stand over him as he rolled about on his back. It was a great sign of trust in another to show your belly and she didn’t miss the significance of it. She dipped her head down to start grooming his neck at chest, occasionally pausing to nuzzle into his fur. ”Oh you’re on,” she smirked, lifting her right paw to push at him playfully. She jumped back quickly and ducked into a play bow for just a moment. A fierce glint in her eye was all the warning before she was jumping forward again, ramming straight into him. She knew she wouldn’t hurt him; part of the reason she’d chosen him as a mate was that his strength was much greater than her own, so she was perfectly happy to just fall. As she landed she made to grab at the thick fur around his neck but slipped slightly and ended up rolling over him, landing on her own back on the other side of him. ”Well I’ve never been much of a fighter,” she laughed, rolling over to lay on her stomach and look at him. The expression on her face softened as she was reminded for a moment of the alpha pair of her old pack. They’d known each other since they were young and Velvet always knew them as a loving pair who led the pack firmly but lovingly. She remembered seeing them play much like she and Remington were doing. It gave her hope for the future of their pack. Thinking of the future and of life in her old pack automatically turned the she-wolf’s mind to pups. She’d already talked with Remington about pups, how they’d want some in the future once the pack was secure, but thinking of starting a family with him always made her feel broody. She whined, licking her lips, feeling while looking at her mate as though she were in heat. She knew she wasn’t, wouldn’t be for a while, but she wanted to be with him like she was in heat; she wanted to feel closer to him. However, though she was confident, she didn’t know how to voice that feeling. --------------------------- With Shadow’s pack Shadow listened to Ezrin, pleased at her report. ”Good,” he nodded, ”We will be able to exploit their obvious attachment to each other.” In his mind any wolf that prioritised others before themselves was basically preparing themselves to die. The snarl stayed on Shadow’s face even as Vulcan showed himself. His head was high, posture square, almost the opposite of Vulcan. He smirked to himself at the yearling’s evident fear. There was no way this pup would be a worthy member of the pack but hey, the fighters needed something to train on. ”It’s time you got put to work. You will be in the second wave,” he told the pup, ”and if you try to back out I’ll find out and take you down myself.” He snapped his jaws in Vulcan’s direction to exaggerate his point. The alpha turned away from the youngster when Kaeva appeared, having finished her scouting. He nodded at her first comment, glad to have the assurance that their numbers weren’t high. Shadow was confident that his pack could take out one twice the size of themselves, but fighting less wolves was always more reassuring. He snorted at her next comment, rolling his eyes. ”Come on Kaeva, you know our ways,” he told her, ”Either they run away fast enough and never return, or we wipe them out completely. The more lives we take, the more fun we have.” Shadow then turned to address the pack. ”I believe everyone has already decided their role in this fight. Anyone who hasn’t just pick whichever team you’d be best for. We will wipe this pack from our lands one way or another. Until it’s time for the fight you may all do what you like so long as you stay hidden from this other pack. We will meet here at the darkest point in the night.” With that he turned from the pack and headed towards Hazel’s den to visit his newborn nephews. 0 players like this post! Like? |

With Shadow's Pack Vulcan || Male || 1 year || Pup Vulcan nodded tensely at Shadow's words, and he yelped when he was snapped at, scurrying back into the crowd with his tail tucked between his legs. He was pathetic, yes, and he was terrified, yes. He just wasn't sure about what would happen in the near future. He looked at Lynx one more time before he padded shakily off to the outside of the camp. Just outside, though, just to get a little fresh air. Oh no... Ohnoohnoohno... What am I going to do?? Lynx | Female Fighter | 4 Years, 5 Months | Shadow’s Pack As Shadow dismissed the wolves Lynx straightened and flicked her tail glad that the group meeting was finally at an end. She had never been one for gatherings of many wolves, her only experience of pack life being the violence she saw in her own. Not comprehending that other packs may have worked differently the fighter often thought that if things had been different she would have taken after her unknown father in the life of a loner. Silent as always the onyx and blue-gray wolf walked out of camp, it would be a good plan to get something to eat before the fight and would also serve to study the wolves of the opposite pack, along with the territory she would be fighting on. Lynx did not have any plans of attacking the other wolves and in fact was helping them inadvertently, they would not realise that though and as an experienced and talented fighter Lynx understood that anything could happen during battle, plans had an equal chance of going wrong or right. Overlooking information was often the downfall of many a fighter no matter how talented or experienced. As she was walking out of camp the female’s blue eyes caught on a movement that soon revealed itself to be none other than Vulcan who seemed, from his body language, to be on the edge of panic. Lynx stopped letting her claws sink into the ground as a sign of her inner frustration….she could not bring the pup along with her on her personal scouting mission as that would end in tatters. He would also probably ruin any chance of getting a bite to eat. Unfortunately, despite all logic being completely on her side, Lynx’s heart was pulled in the opposite direction. Showing her teeth in silent anger, Lynx took a deep breath to calm herself...getting the wolf to focus on something other than the fight to come would be beneficial for all the wolves, that is what the fighter told herself at least. Composing herself Lynx stepped out of the shadows that had concealed her, looking at the young male her words were curt. “Come, it would be best if we caught something for you to eat before the battle, Vulcan.” Without looking back, Lynx headed in the opposite direction of the invading wolves, toward a nearby stream that was home to some small prey and a fresh drink. 0 players like this post!
