This female that had started walking towards him didn't seem to be stopping. Leaning towards him, she basically threw herself at him. Azazel was genuinely confused as no other wolf had ever been interested in him. At least, not to his knowledge. Side-stepping away from her, he just nodded his head. "Um, thanks," He knew that he couldn't wreck this like he had wrecked the fragile relationship with the omegas. They were all too weak to do anything about it, but these wolves he had just met seemed powerful. They all stood around that one oddly colored wolf. He took the title of Remington, and Azazel didn't care for him. What was so great about him? Why was everyone flocking towards him? They should be gathered around me. This thought caused a fire to light inside him, that he had never felt before. Jealousy was now flowing through his veins. There was something in the way that he nuzzled Kade that upset him. Were they mates? Surely not. She was obviously much too good for him. A wolf like her deserved a God.

The other's had seemed to tense when he first walked in, and they had yet to really relax around him. Of course he couldn't blame them though. A strong, handsome, intimidating wolf such as himself would scare anything. The less dominant male spoke up, claiming the title of Elihu. Though he didn't emit the same aura of power that Remington did, Elihu had a more protective air to him. The way that he clung to the group, but seemed to have his focus on Azazel. This led to Azel deciding to he didn't like him either. What a pompous- His thoughts were cut short by Remington's words. Asking if they were all ready to hunt. As if he wasn't always ready to hunt. It took a great deal of energy, but he managed to hold back a scoff. Azazel closed the distance between him and the group, sizing them up the closer he got. "I would be honored to join you on this hunt." If wolves could smirk, that would be his current facial expression. His attempt at having a happy, light tone of voice only made him sound forced and awkward. Azazel stopped before he got into the heart of the wolves, and decided to stick on the outskirt. That was where he was destined to be. He was an outsider by choice, that had to join a pack in order to further themselves. The male stood stiff legged and waiting for someone to make a move. All the while casting sidelong glances at Remington and his lady friend Kade.

Kade || Female || Five years old || Undecided || #AZAZADE || Near the pack

Kade glanced again at Remington and shrugged. The breeze made the leaves on the nearby trees rustle in the near-silence, until the new male, the one that made her uneasy, spoke, something about the hunt. As he got closer, she unconsciously pressed against Remington's side, but she could tell Azazel made many of the others uncomfortable, and something about his voice said that he didn't know exactly how to act around them, either.

"Alright. I'll take that for a yes . . . I think I know where Remington is talking about, so . . . Umm, new one, Azazle, Azazel? . . . Come with me. We'll find the place and scout it out, see if we can find any more wolves, because I know there has to be a few more," she commanded, her voice daring him to defy her because he seemed that sort of wolf. Then she noticed that he seemed to constantly be glancing over at her with a really weird expression. "And stop looking at me like that."

Remington's Face Remington's Body(more muscle though)

Remington nodded to Azazel as he said he would be honored to join the hunt, he scanned around him to see who was joining the hunt and it seemed like everyone except Luna. As his attention was focused on something else, he felt pressure on his side and turned and looked noticing Kade push herself into him more. He looked at her curiously and listened to her as she spoke to Azazel. Before she started of into the forest ahead to scout and nipped lightly at her fur. "If you are going to go scout ahead alone with him be aware and careful alright? And do say stuff to challenge him to much, I don't want or need any blood shed yet." After finishing his statement to her and walked by Velvet's side, pushing her lightly with his head, and got ready to follow after Kade and Azazel. "I will be listening!" Remington said that in general to Kade and Azazel, but meant for it to be a subliminal warning that one wrong move and he would know and be on them in a second.

(probably the shortest I have done...I really can't do much until others start saying stuff like Velvet and Elihu....but kinda have to say something to keep my bored hands going)

The femme was pleased to see that everyone seemed to be deferring to Remington to lead the way on the hunt. It meant they wanted him to stick around, and she wouldn’t have to say goodbye to the intriguing wolf only a short while after meeting him. From the corner of her eye she could see Luna jumping around the male. She would be jealous, if it weren’t for the pup’s age. She’d never experienced desire to be around one particular male, happy spending time flirting with all, yet Remington made her feel differently. She wasn’t sure if she liked the feeling yet, but she was willing to go along with it.

Greeting Azazel, she’d rubbed against him. When he side-stepped her action she was a little startled. Males she’d met in the past had fallen over themselves to be near her. However, his actions didn’t ruin her confidence in herself. She snorted, counting him as a strange wolf, and trotted towards the wolves she already knew.

As Kade and Azazel headed off to scout ahead, Remington walked by Velvet, pushing her with his head. She responded with a playful nip to his flank as he passed. ”Whenever you’re ready to leave, Remington.” Her tail was wagging, excited for the hunt.

Elihu || Male || 2 years old || Undecided || With Remington, Velvet, Luna, etc getting ready for the hunt

Elihu paused and watched attentively as Azazel and Kade headed off into the forest to scout out the area. He narrowed his silver eyes as the two loped away, and lowered his head to get a better view of the strange pair as they disappeared into the shadows. The odd male kept glancing over at Kade as though she was a meal herself. Elihu already felt rather protective of the wolves he had met today, and although he hadn't spoken much with the pup, Luna, he worried for her safety if the new pack went out hunting. The huge black male turned his head to discuss his fears with the wolf next to him.

"Remington, would it not be wise to leave someone with Luna while we hunt? She is still young and if another strange wolf happened upon her alone, well, I worry for the pup's safety." Elihu whispered into Remington's ear as he watched the acknowledged alpha male. " I would offer to stay myself, however if this Azazel attempts to challenge you for leadership, I would like to be there to help defend your title. Not to mention I have an odd feeling about that wolf. I do not like the idea of you and him alone together, especially after a hunt, when the lust for blood and meat will be strong." Elihu watched Remington's face closely, trying to see what the male might be thinking. He wanted to make a good impression on Remington, especially since he admired the male's choice of mutual respect. He hoped that he and Remington could work together as a team in this new pack.

He then turned his head and straightened himself, flexing his muscles in the process, as thoughts of the hunt ahead sent adrenaline rushing through his body. He kept his left ear flicked towards Remington while he watched the other wolves get ready for the hunt. He murmured quietly, "Perhaps I worry for nothing. It looks as though everyone is ready to go. " The black wolf looked out over the rest of the forest and grasslands as he waited for Remington to reply. He watched, slightly jealous, as the pretty she-wolf came up and spoke with Remington as well. He had never had much luck with the ladies. Maybe when he got a bit older. He just felt awkward around them. It didn't help that he didn't have the talent of conversation. Elihu shook himself, and then tensed his muscles as he prepared for the hunt to come. He felt his neck prickle with jealousy at all the attention Remington was getting from the females. Just because I'm not an alpha, does not mean I'm not attractive... Does it? Elihu wondered as he tried to ignore Velvet. He shook himself again, as he refocused his attention to the upcoming hunt.

Raoula lay on her side in the sun-dappled shade, panting slightly. She thought about her old pack. Her father had been feared and respected when he was Alpha, but he hadn't ruled for too long. Life had been good before the earthquake. She could hunt hares on the slopes, free to run and leap as she chose, and her pack treated her well enough. She had enough food at every kill. Her pack had been a big one, so she never had to fight when the other wolves did. She just sat off to one side with the pups and other wolves who didn't fight, and watched the action. Her pack always won, and life was good. Until the earthquake came. She had assumed they were all dead, but what if they weren't? What if some of them had escaped? If they showed up now, she would go with them without question. She found herself peering between the trees, searching for any sign of them.
The other wolves had sent two of them off to scout-Azazel and the female called Kade. When they got back, would they hunt? Raoula's belly was rumbling. She wondered what news the scouts would bring.

Remington's Face Remington's Body(more muscle though)

Remington's ear flicked as Elihu whispered into bringing up a valid point. He kept glancing over at Luna and sighed. "Yeah your right, until ranks are decided within us all and we get a puppy sitter she will have to come along." Remington nodded to Velvet and Elihu to hold on as he trotted over to Luna. As he made his way over he bit his tongue at what he was thinking. No one knows his past, no one really knows him and yet they seem to draw to me? It must be my guardian stars, this has to be a sign. He was great at being around pups, but has lived so long without coming into contact with any it was hard to get back in the swing of things. He looked down at Luna. "Well Luna its your lucky day you win a hunting trip with the group! Come on we need to head out others are waiting and hungry, you need to promise me though that you will stay close to me and listen, not do anything foolish that will make the others upset at you." Remington nuzzled her and rubbed up against her then pushed her to her feet and nudged her to get along.

He trotted back over to Velvet and Elihu staring into the forest not seeing Azazel or Kade in sight. He looked at everyone behind him. Alright everyone lets head out, stay close just until we get into the clearing we did hear wolves earlier and I am not sure if there friendly's or not." He started walking in the forest with his head held high and his ears pinned forward, flicking at every sound. When the wind blew through the forest catching leaves or moving branches his ears move right as it happened. He was aware, but not tense, of course his muscle's were flashing and his pelt blew with the wind to, but not worried or tense.

Insolence. That was all he was getting from Kade. Telling him what to do as if she were alpha. Perhaps she was alpha female? No, if that were the case he doubted Remington would allow the two to scout together. The males eyes narrowed at her tone, but he took to grinding his teeth instead of replying. His tail fell limp as he slinked ahead of the group. Her comment that acknowledged his glances shocked him. He hadn't been staring at her, had he? Azazel was sure he was being sneaky. Maybe I've lost a bit of my touch. The male thought before he realized how preposterous that was. Of course I haven't. Wolves as talented as me never fall. Then again, if he had been secretive, and Kade still managed to notice. She must have the same power I possess. The ability to speak directly with the Gods. Coming to this conclusion, his distaste for her picking him vanished. The female had probably noticed his godliness, and taken a liking to him. He didn't blame her seeing as he did look rather ravishing.

His thoughts had kept him from hearing Remington stop Kade, but he hadn't missed his blatant warning. Already these wolves seemed overly anxious around him. The pair walked in silence for a while before Azazel decided to initiate a conversation. "They're all skeptical of me." It wasn't a question, it was just a statement. As an afterthought he added, "So are you."

Kade snorted. "Uneasy and skeptical are not the same thing," she pointed out. "Elihu is uneasy because he fears you will attack Remington. Remington is uneasy because he fears you will attack me. Velvet isn't uneasy. Luna is uneasy because she is massively in love with Remington, though I doubt the feeling is mutual, for Remington probably sees her as a daughter figure."

She grinned knowingly. "I am both uneasy and skeptical." The she-wolf paused for a moment, simply for dramatic effect. "I am uneasy because you seem capable of besting me in a fight, if you so choose to, though that is not a fight you would leave alive, and I am skeptical because I have been an alpha long enough to tell emotions at a glance. You have no fear, you're too confident. It is that that makes us all uneasy."

Plot Update

The scene is still a small woodland of about thirty trees, with a small stream running through it. Surrounding the woods is flat grassland as far as the eye can see. Blossoms are blooming and light rains are causing mudslides. The newly formed pack have chosen their Alpha, and once they return from their hunt ranks will be decided. While gone from the small clearing they met in, a few more wolves showed up there. They are able to smell the new pack and must wait for their return to see how the group will react.

Aatu blinked, pacing through the trees. The birds had stopped singing. Even the brook seemed subdued. He sighed with resignation as he remembered his pack-all either dead, or gone. There were none he could be with. He wasn't the alpha sort, so he wouldn't make his own pack. Now what would he do? The life of a loner wasn't for him. His best bet was to travel until he passed the damage of the earthquake, to find a different pack which would perhaps let him join.
Ahead, he glimpsed a clearing. Forcing his tired, stiff legs to move faster, he reached the clearing and allowed himself to flop down on the grass. The red wolf's tail flipped from side to side as he squinted against the bright light. Scents of other wolves clung to the grass, but he didn't mind. If they came back, he could join them. They would probably be friendly. No wolf could pick and choose from the survivors that were left if they were starting a pack.
But what if they weren't starting a pack? Then they might not want him here. Int hat case, he would have to move, quickly. He lay, torn between the two thoughts, until the sunlight on his face gradually lulled him into a drowsy half-sleep.

Rivers followed the trail of another wolf until she came upon a clearing. Lots of wolves had been there recently, but not for long; they seemed to have all left at once, perhaps to go hunting. She hoped that they'd return, and maybe allow her to have a little of their kill. She hadn't eaten at all in four days and she was starting to get hungry.

The she-wolf was too absorbed in her thoughts to notice the other wolf until she quite literally tripped over him. How had she missed him? This wolf was bright red and his tail was moving. "I'm sorry!" she exclaimed, regaining her feet in one smooth motion. "I didn't see you. Are you alright?"

Aatu's head came up and he blinked drowsily. There was another wolf in the clearing; how had he not scented her approach? She had just tripped over him. He was up on his paws rather quickly, not liking being caught napping by a strange wolf. He would have been vulnerable to attack, if she were not friendly. He took in her odd brown-mottled-red coat. At last, he spoke, since the prolonged silence was getting awkward. "That's alright. I suppose you're a survivor too? What's your name?"
He stretched out on the grass, awaiting her answer.

Rivers nodded solemnly. "I am Rivers," she said, stretching before she lay down in the waving grass beside the male. "And yours?" The scent of the other wolves was a little faint, but she was holding onto hope that they'd return. "And do you know who the other wolves I smell are, or if they're coming back?"

She didn't want to show that she was as excited as she was about the other wolves; she'd never been the type to be the alpha of a pack, though she could take command when she needed to. She just didn't like the responsibility.
