Only accepted characters may post here Sign up here! Hunting Thread You have left your forest home, left without your pack. The earthquake shook a massive hole in your life. Now, you search for the Valley of Hope and for a new pack to share your life with. Before each post you must put this: With Alpha's name's Pack Character name || Sex || Age || Rank This is to make sure there is no confusion. Occasionally I will post plot updates, with weather/prey/landscapes coming into play. You’ll see what I mean after I’ve done this a few times. Every update will have ‘Plot Update’ written before it. Please take your time with your responses, and allow at least couple of people to post their own replies before you post again, even if you’re only interacting with one person at the time. This makes sure replies are well thought out, nobody is controlling someone else’s character, and everyone has the chance to get involved in whatever happens before the RP moves on from that. Pack hunts will be arranged every so often by the alpha. I will set up a hunting thread that I will link here. Once the alpha has chosen the hunters you will RP that your character has left with the hunting party, and then switch to the hunting thread to RP the hunt. This is so that characters in the hunt and in the rest of the pack don’t get confused about who is where. I find it makes things much easier to follow this way. You may hunt small prey alone here, but group hunting must be done away from the pack, in the hunting thread. You will then RP your return here, and either bring the prey or lead the pack to the prey, all in this thread. Only hunting will take place in the hunting thread. My rule of at least four sentences per post is absolute. If you don’t follow this you will get a strike by your name. Three strikes and you will no longer be allowed to rp here. I may remove a strike if you post a lot of detail in your next few posts. Strikes Nobody :3 let’s keep it that way, yeah? The last thing to say is have fun everyone! Current Plot Update The wolf pack travelled across the soaked plains and have come to the base of the mountain. The rains have passed for now and the sun shines down. However, they must make the decision to either go around or over the mountains. They will soon encounter new wolves, but whether this be a good or bad encounter is up to their choice! Spring is still here and flowers will soon bloom. Character SheetsNo thread generated. The original poster of this RP thread will be able to generate one for this feature.0 players like this post! Aatu|Male|5 years old|Undecided Aatu nodded. "Rivers. Ok. My name is Aatu. I don't know who the other wolves are, but if they come back, I intend to join them." He hadn't considered the possibility that they might no even come back. If they didn't, he would go with his original plan of traveling to find another pack. He could always take Rivers along and then, if they couldn't find a pack, they could start a new pack. He thought, though, that the other wolves would come back, unless they had the same idea he did and had left together. He turned to Rivers. "So, do you know any other survivors?" 0 players like this post! Like? |

Echo|Male|3 1/2 yrs old|Unranked|Open ---- Eerie|Male|3 yrs old|Unranked|Open A high pitched yelp sent flocks of birds fleeing into the sky, feathers of various colors fluttered down around one very annoyed wolf and one intentionally ignorant one. "Echo, you giant lunatic! Put me down!" Eerie, a white-grey male wolf, struggled wildly from where he dangled from Echo's jaws. "Muwn? Phmk." The larger wolf bobbed his head in agreement, causing Eerie to sway from side to side, before loosening his grip on the grey wolfs ruff. "No no no no! Not right here! Are you crazy?" Eerie howled, flailing wildly as he gazed down at the sheer drop below him . Echo chuffed in amusement but swung his head and neck around to drop his smaller companion on the solid ground beside him. Amber eyes glared up at Echo as the golden wolf stood tall above him with his tail wagging happily and pale yellow eyes sparkling. "Are you trying to kill me?" He asked in a huff. "Roundaboutly." Echo answered, turning and loping along the edge of the crevice they had nearly walked right off of. Well, Eerie had almost walked off it, but that was entirely due to Echo and his faulty sense of direction and complete lack of noticing anything in their surroundings. Glancing over the edge at the sharp rocks below, Eerie shivered then turned and ran after his friend. Falling into step with Echo he couldn't help but think that maybe the older wolf really did want to kill him in a way, but no, he shook his head vigorously. All of that negative thinking was just left over from living with their previous pack and had no place in the here and now. "Oddball." Eerie sighed. "You know that's not my name Echo It's Eerie. Say it with me, Eer-ie." He pronounced slowly, before giving up altogether, Echo would never call him by his proper name unless he really wanted to. "What is it?" He asked. In answer Echo sped up a little more all the while watching Eerie over his shoulder, forcing the long legged male to lengthen his stride so as to keep up. "Echo, hold up. You don't even know where you're going." Echo let out a bark, large, white fangs flashing in the late sunlight. "To the North, to the South, to the West, and to the East, forever which way is a feast the Moon Maddened rise." Eerie let out a low sigh, his shoulders falling slightly as he nudged his best friend in the shoulder with his nose. "I know Echo. I'm hungry too, but let's find a place to rest up for a bit before we go off hunting." "Howls." Echo grunted in return, trudging through the undergrowth with Eerie following closely behind, only to emerge in a small clearing that was currently housing two other wolves. 0 players like this post! Rivers || Female || 4 years || Unranked "No, I don't," Rivers said, then her head jerked up, followed by her body, as two new wolves walked into the clearing. She was exhausted and hungry and didn't have time for this. Her body was on fire with a surge of adrenaline. "Who are you?!" she barked at the newcomers, ready to attack though she didn't stand a chance against the pair, which she could tell by scent were male. They weren't the same ones that had been there a little while ago. ((Short! I'm sorry. <3)) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Cyber|Female|3 Years|Undecided Cyber drags herself along the edge of the stream. Her muddy paws flopping in the cold, shallow water. Her weak legs pull her body along. She's been on her own before, but knowing that most of her family is dead made her lose her will to live. She shakes her dead violently. "Stop thinking like that!" She tells herself. "Flora's alive, she'll be at the Valley of Hope". Weak and exhausted, she lays on the soft grass to rest. She knows she has to eat something, but what? The fish are far too small and will only be a waste of energy, but she can't take on anything too big by herself. She pulls herself to her feet once again and continues to walk. 'I have to find others' She thinks. 'I won't make it on my own'. Just then she see something in the distance. She struggles to make out what it is, straining her eyes to see. "Trees!" She cries out to herself. "There's gotta be rabbits there!" She begins to run when suddenly something catches her attention. She sniffs the air and smells wolves. She stops dead in her tracks and slowly begins to back away. She knows she has to find others, but if they don't want her around, she's too weak to defend herself against them. She sits and stares at her paws, thinking long and hard. Finally, she makes her decision. She decides to continue walking. She's only getting weaker, and without food she'll surely die off shortly. So she stands tall, and begins to walk. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 22/07/15 by NightSky01 (#52637) |

Aatu|Male|5 years old|Undecided Aatu yawned as the other two wolves arrived. Rivers seemed particularly bothered by them, but he didn't mind them at all. Just two male wolves, like him, searching for a new home after the earthquake. He nodded at them. "Hey. My name's Aatu. Who are you guys? You're welcome to stay here, if you want. I don't care." With that, he let his head drop to his paws. He just wanted to sleep. Why did all these wolves keep showing up? He had thought many would be killed in the earthquake. As for the wolves who had been here, well they could always drive him off, of course, but he would find some other place to sleep if that happened. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Echo|Male|3 1/2 yrs old|Unranked Aatu/Rivers ---- Eerie|Male|3 yrs old|Unranked|'Ditto' Eerie drew back slightly blinking slowly at the brown mixed color, snarly female in front of them with a sneer pulling at his muzzle tightly. "Well, aren't you rude." He snipped, running his tongue over his nose in a small sign of nervousness. Beside him, Echo gave a deep, booming bark, standing tall above the three wolves, though the red male was laying down and didn't seem as if he was going to move any time soon. "I'm Eerie, and this is Echo." He said, pointing at Echo in association with his name. "Who are you?" The light grey wolf sat back on his haunches and glared at the female, tail flicking back and forth behind him in irritation. Who did she think she was? Owner of all the clearings in the woods? The least she could do was offer them a place to rest for a few minutes or so, or maybe even a place to sleep for the night, since the day was progressing fairly quickly. Oh, well, at least the male offered, Aatu was his name, right? Very deliberately Eerie lowered himself into a relaxed sprawl, legs splayed to the side and his head resting completely on his right cheek, amber eyes half-lidded as he gazed at the spitfire female. Echo on the other hand had padded clumsily over to Aatu's side and flopped down heavily. "Greeting Firestarter." The golden wolf greeted, leaning his body to the side and giving the red wolf a friendly lick to the face. "The day is low is it not?" He questioned. 0 players like this post! Like? Sollux || Male || 4 years, 2 months || Undecided The brown canid sat quiet, looking around at the others. Sollux was certainly still shaken by the quake, but his expression and stance showed him as calm and collected, his eyes slightly judging as they landed on each of the others. He licked his chops, and lay down, the sun's rays beaming down to warm him to his marrow. He yawned, bored, making him tired. It was always a good time passer, sleep, but he could not. He was not yet comfortable with the others, and had talked to no one besides the alpha himself, upon his late arrival, where he was welcomed warmly. Other than that, he had been silent and watchful. He decided he would at least allow himself the pleasure of lying down. He let another yawn escape his maw, deep and long. Then, he continued watching the strangers around him, hearing them chatter and watching them move about. Sighing, upset that he would not be allowed to sit in silence, he lay his head upon his paws. Every now an then he would voluntarily swish his tail or twitch an ear, so that he may keep himself awake. (I hope I did good. ;~; My first post, finally.) 0 players like this post! Like? Aatu|Male|5 years old|Undecided Aatu wrinkled his brow in confusion. This new wolf had just flopped down beside him and began to talk very oddly. "The day is LOW? What does that mean? And my name isn't Firestarter, it's Aatu," he said, very confused. He looked over at the wolf who had been with him for some clue as to what his behavior meant. He shrugged and turned away. Some wolves were just odd, he guessed. He would have to put up with it. In the meantime, he could sleep. Turning his back on the other wolves to show he no longer wanted to talk, he tucked his muzzle between his paws, the way he always slept. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Rivers || Female || iforgothowoldsheisbutshe's 3 or 4 years || Undecided Rivers visibly relaxed as neither of them attacked. "Rivers. I'm Rivers," she said. "I'm sorry, I'm kinda on edge right now and I didn't know if you were going to attack." The she-wolf lay back down. "There should be more wolves here. We're hoping they just went hunting and will be back," she added, letting herself exhale. The sun was going down and stars started to appear in the dark parts of the sky. The moon showed through the sparse clouds as a white crescent, still faint against the ever-darkening twilight sky. It was quite beautiful, the sort of thing you didn't see, or didn't take the time to notice, every day. Something in her wanted to stand and howl, to lift the spirits of her dead packmates to the heavens on her lilting voice, but now was not the time nor the place. ((Short,)) 0 players like this post! Cyber|Female|3 years old|Undecided After a long and tiring walk, Cyber sees something in the distance. Wolves? She stops walking, and can't help but stare at them. She knew they were here, she could smell them, but to see them made them... real. From where she stood, she could see three wolves; a female and two males. Cyber begins to worry, and starts to back away. She stops. "I have to get help," she tells herself. Just as she's about to walk up to them, she stops herself. Something about one of the males seems... off. Cyber can't quite make out what it is, but something doesn't seem right. She debates whether or not to approach them, and decides to try to rest first. She knows the dangers of trying to be so close to stranger wolves, let alone try to sleep, but she needs rest. She goes to the opposite side of the stream and lays down, trying to stay as discreet as possible. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Lyall || Male || 3 Years || Undecided || Confused as to where he is because memory wipes 'n shit :P Lyall walks back through the forest, tail limp. After Banshee had suddenly excused herself and left him, he had felt rather dejected. He had no pack, no companions, and now he was completely and utterly alone. In midstep, he catches the scent of wolves and perks up slightly. He changes direction, loping off in the direction of the other canines. He lets out a small howl to alert them of his presence, slowing his pace. While he was very much excited to meet new friends, he was not as willing to make new enemies. (I'm sorry. I don't know what to even do with him. But yay on me for not completely pretending that Banshee never existed, right? xD) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Echo|Male|3 1/2 yrs old|Unranked Aatu/Rivers ---- Eerie|Male|3 yrs old|Unranked|'Ditto' Eerie let out a low chuckle at not only Rivers, but at Aatu's confusion over Echos way of speaking. "No apologies necessary." He said quietly, though truthfully he was still a bit offended at the females callous way of speaking to newcomers, mainly them. The grey wolf cringed away from the slim brown wolf as she laid down near him, having grown unused to sleeping near anyone except for Echo. Speaking of Echo, Eerie tilted his head to the other side to get a better look at his friend and Aatu, who had buried his head in-between his paws. Deciding to take pity on the red wolf, Eerie levered himself up to lay on his stomach with his front legs out in front of him and his back folded under him, and turned to look at Aatu. "Good luck getting him to call you by your real name, and he means the day has a bit of a downer, no?" Just as he went to speak once more he was interrupted by a greeting howl. Echo, ever true to his namesake, leapt to his feet and let out an answering howl, a deep, gravelly, sound that emerged from deep within the large wolf's lungs, a sound that you definitely didn't want to hear in the dead of night when alone. Cursing to the moon and back, Eerie climbed to his feet and trotted over to Echo's side, "Stop that!" He yelled harshly, nipping at Echo's ears sharply. "Do you want to garner the attention of every other large predator around? Because I sure don't." Confused, Echo ended his howl to look at Eerie, his eyes returning to their normal glazed look. "No greetings to the young?" The gold wolf asked. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Cyber|Female|3 years old|Undecided Cyber awakes with a jolt to the sound of howling wolves. Confused and panicked she jumps to her feet. Half asleep, her instincts take over and she throws her head back and begins to howl. She cuts it short, stopping herself. 'What am I doing? I don't know who it is. What if they're dangerous?' she thinks. She looks around nervously, hoping no one heard her. 'But what if it's Flora?' Her mind fills with hope. Cyber isn't far from her sister's den site, it's possible Flora is nearby! Cyber runs as fast as she can towards the howl, hoping to finally be reunited with her sister. 0 players like this post! Aatu|Male|5 years old|Undecided Aatu's head jerked up as he heard a haunting howl. Echo answered, and he leaped to his feet, unsure. Though the red-furred male hadn't slept in several days, he couldn't feel the least bit tired if he knew there were strange wolves about, who may or may not be friendly. He simply felt too insecure. Aatu ran forward a bit, pushing past the light grey male called Eerie to go a few paces into the trees. He stopped suddenly, the fur rising along his back and his lips sliding back from his teeth. A shadow shifted in the darkness. Another wolf was nearby, running straight towards his temporary companions. Silently he leaped in the direction of the other wolf, effortlessly leaping tree roots and other obstacles in the dark, his muscles bunching and stretching with each leap and bound as he gained on the other wolf, which he could see only as a flickering shadow lighter than the night itself. He slammed clean into the other wolf with a well-executed leap, attempting to knock her to the ground or at least halt her forward rush. He placed himself squarely between the wolves in the clearing and the stranger. "Hello," he said guardedly. "I don't mean you any harm, and I'm sorry if I might have hurt you. I just gotta know if you're friendly or not, because I don't want you hurting these other wolves if you're not friendly, see? So, what's your name, and do you come in peace or not?" Rivers || 3 years || Female || Undecided Rivers, interested, stood and followed Aatu. He'd tackled some she-wolf. Understanding that he was probably trying to protect her, Echo, and Eerie, she stood slightly behind him, ready to assist if the wolf attacked. "Hello," she said, looking over the other female. "Aatu, I really hope you didn't hurt her. I don't think she was going to attack," she added, her tail flicking back and forth. The she-wolf flicked her ears, taking in the regular sounds of the night and listening for any more wolves. Leaning her head back, she howled a softer, more feminine howl than any of the males could produce, with their deeper voices. She was hoping there'd be more friendly wolves around. 0 players like this post! Like? |
