Ignis Fatuus | Male | 3yrs 2mnths | Loner Trudging wearily through the snow, the wolf's paws were stayed only by the whispering voices that echoed around him. Before him, stood a wolf as dark as the night, and when he looked, a wolf as white as the snow beneath her paws. Alarm pounded suddenly in his chest, and he stepped back. What was going on? Was he hallucinating? Still shaken by his most recent trauma, the fur along his body began to bristle, and his eyes snapped between the two, trying to keep his attention on both. "Be gone, apparitions," he snapped, lip curling to reveal his canines, bright against his currently dark fur. To his knowledge, he hadn't passed the border of any wolf pack. These two females, real or not, were not about to get the best of him -- not if he had anything to say about it, anyway. As the black female spoke, his ears twitched before they flattened in disbelief, a growl raising from his throat. "I am in no such territory, you unknown beast. What are you doing here, questioning my presence? My paws wander where they will, and I will not allow some false creature to alter my path." Brave as his words were, the small male continued to retreat, looking more fearful than aggressive. He didn't care for being surrounded, be it by real wolves or fake. The longer he looked at them, however, the more real they looked, and even their scents brushed against his nose, unnerving him further. The only thing worse than colliding with creations of his mind, was colliding with real wolves, who could spare him or tear him to pieces at will. Eyeing them with even greater suspicion, he dropped his head to hunch protectively between his shoulders, tail raising to half mast as he took up a defensive posture. It was clear to him -- and most certainly clear to them, as well -- that he was not about to win any fight. In fact, his legs trembled beneath him as he stood, weakness and hunger sapping his energy. Pain ached in his skin, hot and uncomfortable from the blaze of fire only a few moments before. Whatever they chose to do, he hoped that they would decide quickly, before even fleeing was no longer an option. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Makeera, Serkahri, Tundra, and Pup: Makeera woke up suddenly, had barely gotten a wink of sleep. As she usually did, she came to the healer's den to observe the healing practices she thought were very interesting. She was about to settle on the floor as to not mess up any of the nests that could be used for patients, until a strange scent hit her nose. It was of no wolf she ever knew. "Who is there?" she asked, walking toward the scent. Tilting her head at the wolf whose pelt was on fire, she asked, "Is that your pelt, or had the Wolf of Fire been messing with you?" this was a joke she asked to almost any wolf with a fire-related power. Tundra finally managed to swing out of Serkahri's grip. "Belle, come one! lets go explore." he asked Belle, setting off to see the place. "You can explore with him, belle. Just make sure not to go too far, make sure I can still see you or detect your scent. I don't want you two lost!" Serkahri called to them. Tundra was having an amazing time jumping in the snow. That is, until he heard a whimper. he followed the sound, and found a brown wolf pup around his age, sobbing. "What's wrong?" he asked it, sitting next to him. "I lost my parents... now I'm just waiting to die." he replied, staying to the point. "What happened to your mother and father?" "Well, outpackers had attacked them, and me. They made shot work of them, and I tried to help, though I'm only a pup. I did escape, but not without wounds. That's the blood you smell on me. See this scratch on my muzzle here? it's fresh." the pup replied, turning his head to Tundra. "What's your name?" "I didn't get a name yet. My parents called me Pup, and said that I'd be named after something I like. I want to keep that promise now, but there is really no home for me here." "Well... come with me. What do you like?" Deciding that following this new pup was his last hope, even if it amounted to nothing, he followed him. "Well... I like the stars. Especially when constellations come. And the rabbits my parents used to hunt for me... they called them bunnies. I like those too. I suppose I really like the heat, though snow is fun too. There's a lot, really." "Who is that? A new friend?" Serkahri asked as Tundra came back with a brown wolf pup at his side. "He doesn't have a name, but he lost his parents due to outpackers. They sued to call him Pup, and he will name himself after something he likes." "Well, hello there, Pup." "Can he stay with us in our pack?" Tundra asked, looking into Serkahri's eyes. Serkahri hesitated, about to say no, but then looked at Pup. "Well... I'm all for it, really, as long as Angel approves too. Three pups is quite hard to care for, even if they're 10 months old. And then when pups become Psi, we can move into one of our own dens. We'll move to either mine or Angel's den, not sure which, when that happens. Angel, what do you think we should do?" Serkahri asked, then glanced at Angel. "What brings you here, and why are you in my pack's territory? Did you not notice our scent markings? Anyway... are you looking to join a pack?" Makeera finally asked Ignis Fatuus. Serkahri had thought that he brought Belle with him, but then realized that Belle didn't want to come, so he let her stay with the other pack wolves. He didn't approve entirely with it but knew she was most likely safe here. When Angel nodded, Serkahri then picked up Pup and Tundra, and said, 'Well then, lets go. Pup can come." And so he walked back to the pack territory with the two pups somehow in his jaws. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 06/12/15 @ 10:37:27 by ~Simba the Fluffy Lion~ (#27778) |

Rajat | 5 Years,2 Month | Setting Sun | Alpha Male Rajat had been walking quietly beside Kiba constantly aware of Rahese behind...what an irritating wolf that one was. Rajat keenly remembered the gleam in the male's eyes when Nova had stepped on Rajat’s tail. The alpha could still fill the tiny puncture wounds as well as the slightly stiff way the tail hung...he had never fully appreciated how vulnerable an appendage the tail was until the small wolf had stepped on it and never before had the alpha been so angered than when Nova had completely ignored his existence. They were half an hour and about a third of the way through the Falling Ember’s Pack territory and Rajat forced his latent anger and irritation away knowing that Kiba wanted to speak, but was unwilling due to the presence of the lead warrior. Not concerned with the opposite packs lead warrior in the least as he was not in the position to argue Rajat spoke, “Have you thought over my offer, Kiba? Your membership within my pack would be greatly valued and your pups, if you are to have any, would not have competition for winter food from others their age.” Rajat decided to ignore Madjaster’s rather idiotic statement about other wolves following...of course they would be escorted out of the territory, it was ridiculous to think otherwise. Rajat’s attention was diverted when he caught the scent of fire as well as the scent of a few females of the Falling Ember’s indecipherable from the distance, but there none the less. “Jarisol?” A well practiced command and question and indication for the powerfully gifted male to report what his shadows could find on the distant scent. 0 players like this post! Sorry for the skedaddle Hetchi XD I had already wrote a post before Simba edited so when I realized the mistake I had to weave the new theme into what I already had. Calyx | 4 Month | Male pup Calyx’s lavender orbs flashed open as he heard a long low growl. Instinctively leaping to his feet ready to run at any other indication of danger the pups ears lowered in embarrassment as he realized the sound was coming from his own stomach. Shifting his paws the young male tilted his head reluctantly looking Iah Cehka in the eyes afraid to see disdain at his obvious show of cowardice undoubtedly a side effect of being a runt. “I seem to be quite hungry, Iah Cehka. Would it be okay if I went out to get a bite to eat?” The male was so concerned with Iah’s response that he did not notice her uncomfortable body language. He would have been shocked to know that she had battle one of her own fears (she has a fear?!?) to keep him warm during the cold winter night Nova | 5 years, 9 months | Female Healer | Falling Embers Nova felt something fall against her, then a cold nose and a low hum. Dragging herself out of a deep sleep the onyx female looked down at her side and felt the marrow drain out of her bones, felt weak and lightheaded. Laying beside her looking up with bright eyes sat a small onyx pup. Nova closed her eyes felt and vividly saw a flash of memory her onyx pup a red and black pup, the smell of blood and death, the smell of her mate. Nova slammed against the memory with all her considerable willpower, burying it deep in her mind….her past memories had become a lot more intrusive since her return. Nova suspected it was an initial side effect of her second power….then again the pack was acquiring a lot more pups lately, and some of the powerful feelings that swirled within her chest were undeniably focused on Rahese. It reminded her how she had felt for her former mate before he had been corrupted in the search for power...it was different though, among other things a lot more respect was involved. Shaking off her thoughts Nova focused once again on the small pup shocked than pleased with how much Belle had grown since the beginning of her existence. Getting up Nova cocked her head curiously at Belle, “Now how did you find your way to my den, little one? Wheather by luck or skill that is quite an accomplishment.” The healer figured that Belle had come down with a sever case of boredom as would any wolf when their parents were often out hunting. Walking over to the little ‘pond’ at the side of her den Nova drank the refreshingly cool water beside her den before turning to look at Belle trying to figure out what would interest the small wolf. Eyes landing on the carved bones that held many of Nova’s memories, the healer’s eyes brightened flashing a glowing blue before focusing on Belle. The pup was a little too old to be playing with feathers, perhaps she would take an interest in writing down her point of view. While Belle had been growing up Nova had noticed that the little one had not said much for whatever reason, but her keen gaze and perked ears had spoken of an interest and intelligence in what was going on around her. Perhaps learning how to carve runes into a bone would help the pup solidify her growing character as well as her growing opinions as she wrote her thoughts and ideas onto a hunted animals remains. “Would you like to learn how to carve bones, Belle? You could put down your thoughts and ideas in a bone so you will not forget an important idea or memory. It is something to think about, most wolves sadly do not have the ability to write as it was once and perhaps still is, considered to be a menial task suited only for an omega. Foolish wolves…” Nova shook her head continually confused with the antics of her brethren. “You should think about it, I understand if you don’t like the idea as few wolves do...perhaps I will be able to show you something else more interesting if you don’t like the idea of writing.” Realizing she was starting to talk a little too much Nova snapped her maw shut indicating that Belle should follow her as she made her way through the maze of caves and into the healer's den. The onyx female realized that she was nervous, nervous about the interest of a little pup no less...the older female wished to teach the little one a few things but she lacked the status of parent to do so...Belle could simply ignore her after all...a wolf pup only had to follow the directions of its parent, at least until it became an adolescent at which point it would have to respect pack ranks.Looking over the den Nova gave a frustrated and perhaps a slightly disappointed sigh as she realized that Rajat, Madjaster, and most pointedly Rahese had left. The first two, the healer could care less about...but if the lead warrior was escorting them alone, or even with another wolf, Rahese would still be outnumbered three to two and him with a wounded side not yet fully healed though it was well on its way. Nova shook away her worry, the brute was a lead warrior for a reason and he was not a dumb animal...he would be cautious...hopefully. After eating three huge salmon, an unusually big show of appetite as the female once again regained the last of her lost energy and reminding herself to show her appreciation of the gesture to Kashi the female brushed past the moss door and found herself in fresh cold air. Nova’s ears perked at the deep blanket of snow that covered the ground, then lowered as she realized that this snow was soft to the touch and had not yet crusted over….yuck. Looking back at Belle, Nova knew that she could not leave the pup alone until another wolf came, though the female was suddenly eager to get away from the hustle and bustle of the pack. Hearing the tread of paws not far away Nova opened her new second power hesitatingly reading the memory from a stray breeze. It was Serkahri two pups with him as he walked towards the camp...he would be around the corner in only a few moments. “Your father will be here soon, Belle, think about my offer and ask your father or mother if it is okay for you to learn a few things from me once and awhile.” Nova quickly started on a well worn trail to the nearby river wanting to leave before another wolf hailed her and knowing there would be a lot of leaping and bounding once the healer reached the place she would part from the trail...it was time to catch up on practicing her fighting skills. 0 players like this post! Jarisol-Beta-SSP Jarisol nodded, letting out a deep sound in his chest as if saying "Yes, sir." He let out speeding black shapes, he barely even saw them leave, but he felt and sensed their surroundings and intentions. He let loose three. One went in front of them, and one to each side. Nothing abnormal up front, but to one side, a few females, two or three, and a male were clumped. Another female was a little further off, possibly a loner. The shadow wolves weren't gone for too long before they were back and disappeared 'into' Jarisol. He padded up next to Rajat. "A few females, two, and a male gather to our right up ahead. They hold no threat for the moment seeming to be engaged on each other. If anyone was to give us trouble, it would be the female loner, although she is further out. Out of the territory, and further to our right than the other wolves." He said low enough for just the alpha to hear. If he wanted to do anything about this information, he could. Jarisol kept a flat face, and an alert body. Mentions- Rajat, Ignis, Raven, Kina, Makeera 0 players like this post! Like? |

Raven|Female|Headhuntress|Falling embers She restrained from rolling her eyes, the small cut above her eye stinging, were the fool ravilo had cut her, his wound in the future would much more severe. did her alpha have to tack? couldn't she see that she male in front of them was scared, delusional from hunger and highly set, ready to fight to the death, his death? She backed up slowly, giving the loner more space to move and breath, and ways to escape. then she sat making her self non threatening, she knew that she should go and get food for the hungry soul, he looked like he needed it, but she didn't want to leave him alone with her unstable alpha. She actually didn't want her alpha here at all, and she almost told her to leave, then quickly remembered her spot on the dominance chain. She held her tongue and looked at the male curiously, to her left she saw a shadow flicker, and her first thought was "What"? Followed by her logic telling her that Jarisol had been spying on them, that meant that they were close by, she smelt the air, but it was the wrong direction. She whispered to her own shadows, and they agreed with her on what to do. The shadows found the small band of wolves, lead by the shiny one that they did not like at all, he was bad and had bad intentions, they could just feel it. (Rajat) Their daughters mate was standing off to the side, they liked him, and then there were others that they had no affiliation with. They didn't matter. Forming into the form of a wolf they sucked up, looking like a pool of blackness heaving into the form of a back wolf. Darker them the night sky. They turned their head to the one that their daughter called Jarisol and spoke too him in a voice of shadows, loud but soft at the same time, deep but clear. "Staying away from our daughter would be welcome, if you have things you want to know then just ask, she does not appreciate spying eyes," Then they turned their head to their daughters mate, the one that she called Kiba," she gives you permission to decapitate, the one that she calls Ravinlo, she is done with his antics, and wishes him to be gone from her life," then they looked at the alpha and it wondered if they should say something to him, from their own mouth, but they decided against it, and they gave a nod to the wolfs and sunk back into the ground, the paw prints of a wolf still left in the snow. Showing that they could harm whoever they pleased, they were a real thing, but they weer a peaceful creature 0 players like this post! Like? |

Jarisol-Beta-SSP Jarisol growled as the shadows slunk up on them. He didn't sense a threat, but he took an authorative stance as the shadows spoke. They clearly weren't controlled. We're they... Living? Jarisol had never heard of such. A low growl eminated from his chest as the creatures looked at the new wolf, and then to Rajat. It didn't make it better that the shadows started to leave. Jarisol send out a larger wolf, and placed it in front of the other wolf. He then boxed in the wolf, so that he couldn't neither jump over it-- though there was no cover, it was still tall-- and couldn't walk through. "I'm sorry. Please excuse me, Rajat." He said calmly. He walked into the forest and to the box that encomoased the shadow wolf. "Dont bother trying to escape." He said deeply. Mentions- Rajat, Kina, the shadows 0 players like this post! Like? |

(Wait did he try to capture the shadow or the loner wolf?) Rainar|female|Beta|Setting suns she opened one eye sleepily, then she clambered out of her nest, she had a really good sleep and she felt refreshed and ready for what ever was to come. She stretched arching her back and spreading out her toes. She smiled and scented the air, smelling the alpha and Kiba , jarisol and Majastar. She scented the air again and smelt foire and another wolf with the Alpha, he smelt of the Falling embers and she guessed that he was a warrior of some sort escorting them to the border. she walked towards them, and she shook the snow off her fur. Winter was her time, she was white, she colour of snow, this was her time to blend in and slink about, her time to dominate the battle field. she smiled, a dangerous sneaky smile, and then she went off to find her alpha male, they probably needed a female around to calm down all that testosterone anyway. She smiled at the thought of them trying to kill each other, but that would do no good for her, she she padded over to them, knowing that her presence would benefit them. 0 players like this post! (Ah i see) Exasperated the shadow reformed in to a wolf form , the only form that would make sense to this wolf, that was getting on their nerves quite badly. It spoke to the wolf in a raspy voice, quiet but loud, exasperation hinting in its voice, it didn't like being in this form, in their world, with other wolfs other then their daughter. "What do you want?" they asked looking scornfully at the shadow box that the wold had "trapped" them in, did it not realize that they were made of shadows? They absorbed the shadow box and looked at the wolf scornfully, "Did you really think that that would hold me?" they asked, looking around, then it stared to fade, half of it leaching out, losing its dimension, 0 players like this post! Jarisol-Beta-SSP "Of course I didn't. But it kept you for the time it took me to get here." He said in a flat tone. As the shadows disappeared, Jarisol took down the walls, being a nuisance as they were. "I don't think we have met, and you so boldly tell me to confront your... "master" with words instead of spying. I don't think it is in your right to inquire such things." He said. He wasn't spying. A quick glimpse can't be called spying, He had no intention of retaining the information for himself, or investigating it. And who gave this shadow the right to tell one wolf to kill another? Iah Cehka | Female | 4yrs 5mnths | Beta Female The pale wolf sat up with a start as the little pup leapt to his paws, alarm seeming to pump through his body as he confronted an unknown pursuer. Hiding her amusement as she similarly realized the source of his panic, she levelled her eyes upon him as he turned to face her, ears flattened but eyes rising to meet hers. Pride brimmed momentarily, her tail wagging gently at her back. As her ears perked to listen to his request, however, a flinch wracked her body as the fur brushed against the ceiling of the den. Puffing out an anxious breath, clouded by her power, she forced her focus back to him. "Of course you can, Calyx. I will accompany you." Though predominantly concerned with the male's safety, since his father could quite possibly be around, a twinge of guilt lit in her chest -- she couldn't completely deny that she was using him for her own need to get out of the den. Forcing the thoughts from her mind, she rose to her paws, waiting for him to move out of the den before her. (I'll post Rahese later ^^) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Rahese | Male | 5yrs 8mnths | Lead Warrior Head bowed low, Rahese brought up the rear of the group, his salt-and-pepper pelt standing out boldly against the snow. His side ached from the trek, but he ignored it in favour of keeping a careful eye on Rajat and Kiba, who walked before him. The two wolves seemed far too chummy for his liking, and he thought it wise to observe them as much as he could while he had the chance. The warrior had been so absent lately, and he had no idea what he had been up to for the past month at least. He seemed happy, that much could be said -- the scent of the lead huntress, Raven, was entwined with his furs, leaving no question whether the two were mated. Falling Embers pack was certainly growing -- two, er... three? Some number of pups, anyway, he couldn't quite recall -- and then those that this pairing would be gifted with. It was reassuring, especially with this rival pack now hanging around. The thing was, though, that Rahese was no longer certain of where Kiba's loyalties lay. He was infatuated with his mate, and it was obvious that no wolf had patrolled recently, judging by faded scents that traced their path. Heck, if another wolf pack wandered straight into their territory and set up camp, the lead warrior would neither be surprised, nor blame them -- they could so easily be crossed, he couldn't confidently state that he wouldn't miss them himself. Ears twitching abruptly at the conversation in front him, his fears were realized at Rajat's question, even before his subordinate replied. It seemed as though the silver alpha had already sunk his claws deep into Kiba's hide -- treasuring for his size and so-called loyal nature, no doubt. It was clear to the dark wolf, however, that any loyalties the warrior had were to be under scrutiny. A loyal wolf would not abandon its pack -- and even if they would, it would take far longer than the few days the rival pack had been here for them to be convinced. Ears bowing in dismissal, he remained surprisingly silent, tempted to tune the conversation out together. If Kiba truly wanted to leave Falling Embers, then he had no words to impart upon him. Though his chest ached with an odd resemblance of pain -- impossible, for sure, as no injury had been placed upon it -- he knew that he had no right to deny him his desires. In fact, it would be better that he did leave, after the lead warrior had picked up on what was going on. He had no need for a wolf that he couldn't trust. Certain in his decision, he proceeded blankly on until the silver alpha's attention seemed to shift. Lifting his head as well, he turned his head to peer into the forest, catching the scent that had no doubt concerned the other male. The scent of smoke and fire, as well as one of an unfamiliar wolf. Rahese's golden gaze turned to slits, but he was relieved as he detected the scent of Makeera, Raven, and Kashi along with it -- apparently some wolf was paying attention to who and what chose to wander through their territory. Though none of the females were truly built for battle, they greatly outnumbered the trespasser, so no issue should arise even in his absence. Rajat, however, seemed to picture this differently, offering a sharp demand to his beta to investigate. Offering a muted snort, he watched Jarisol for a moment, disinterested -- that is, until shadows flitted to and fro, unnerving the warrior. Damned powers, he thought, smothering a growl. It seemed as though they had seeped into more packs than just their own, which was rather unfortunate. Wolves had no business in the supernatural, in his opinion, though perhaps the thought stemmed from some sort of primal fear, as much as he denied it. He didn't have one himself, and he was both glad and made wary by that fact. Though he didn't care for some unnatural presence residing in his body, he knew that these powers could easily put him at a disadvantage when in serious conflicts with others. Adept as he was at the art of battle, standing up to a wolf with flaming fur, teeth laced with poison, or eyes that could manipulate the mind was an irrational ideal. How would one confront such an adversary? Mind flickering to Nova and what powers she held, he abruptly shook his head, trying to force the thoughts from his mind. It was unwise to drift into a stupor whilst escorting rival wolves to their territory. With Kiba's loyalties split between packs, Rahese was alone among enemies -- dormant ones, perhaps, but enemies all the same. Not to mention his injury, he realized with a wince of regret. Nova would no doubt have his hide when he returned, though he quickly reassured himself that he could hold his own. With a sigh, the brute finally turned his mind to the task at hand, gaze focusing on the forest that stretched before them. 0 players like this post! Like? |
