Hi!
I often experience that I send a stud request to someone and it shows out that the person is out of slots for the week. I also often experience that people send me stud requests when I am out of slots. So maybe the text "This male lion has 0/15 studding slots left open this week." could become red when it reaches 0 slots left, and green when there's still more slots left? Like when you receive messages/notifications, etc. It'd be a lot easier to notice and you can quicker decide whether to ask for traditional studding (if that is something you're comfortable with) or find another male to stud with.
