Sorry if this is brought up a lot, but this is a deal breaker for me. Having apparel disappear after use - and in conjunction, having lions eventually expire (which by itself isn't as bad) - is both nonsensical from a logical standpoint, and honestly, bad game design for this genre in my opinion (since pet sites are often about collecting). Even if players may not use an item often enough for this to truly matter (say they make enough money to buy it again easily within the timespan it takes for the item to deplete), it's still a huge stress factor on many kinds of players. I'm just a few days into trying Lioden, and already I do not want to use apparel now that I found this out. I just thought I'd share to the developers that due to this, I won't continue playing. And I do adore pet sites, and spend a decent amount of money on them if they're fun. This makes me very sad, because the art is fantastic! The customization is quite good as well. And the gameplay is a favorite of mine, it's really fun. But this is a deal breaker for me, as I cannot deal with the constant stress/worry that something I worked for is going to disappear in the future if I dare to use it and enjoy it. (This isn't a quip against anyone who enjoys the site or the feature; everyone has their own tastes. Just my two cents from one game developer + player to the developers of this site) |

Sorry, no support. It keeps the items worth something - on great many game sites when items can be equipped and taken down infinite amount of times nothing really has a value. And I see a logic in item uses - lions arent people, and dont have nimble fingers to help them put apparel on. Equipables wear off as lions put them on and off (try zipping your jacket with claws instead of fingers!), animals grow distracted from your lion (they are wild animals after all, they have their buisness to mind other than chilling with your lions indefinitely), and a place becomes unfitting to visit if your lions use it too often... coughscatcough. They're wild animals, they lack the idea of treating their stuff - and environment - carefully. ![]() Edited on 15/10/15 @ 12:14:01 by Mad Hyena (#29080) |

No support sorry. The items return with their respective events each month, so an item from February will be rare and increase in value around August-December, and be cheap again in the month it's available. If that wasn't the case and items were available once and once only I'd support unlimited uses, but as it is that would severely limit the market for item sales ^^ And pride members eventually die, because this is a sim as opposed to simply a breeding and hoarding game, and part of lion life is aging + death. As there's the 40 territory cap without using GB you'd eventually max that out and have to either kill off lions or cease breeding. Lions gain stats over their lifetime by patrolling or hunting, without an age limit they could do this unto infinity, thereby breaking the stat market and undoing a lot of work to keep them in a somewhat reasonable range so that newbies won't be eternally trying to catch up to older users. If you truly don't want a lion to die and go into your dynasty, there's the frozen slots, which allows it to stay immortal on your account without aging/losing mood&hunger, but it also can't hunt, breed or be kinged, which may be what you're after if you solely want to display a breeding success without actually using it ^^ ![]() Edited on 15/10/15 @ 12:15:47 by Bilby .: Quad Lace :.
