History: He was used for show herding, in other words herding sheep at competitions. He was a blue-ribbon winner every time, and at his last show he was dog-napped and taken to this ship to be sold on the other side of the world. Then shit hit the fan and this prized dog was lost among the chaos and tossed on the island by the unforgiving waves.

Personality: She is a natural leader, extremely loyal and curious about the creatures that landed on HER shore. She is very territorial and can get very very aggressive towards those that are a threat to her leadership position.

History: She grew up in a small little pack, the youngest so she was most valued. Once she hit the age of 2, her pack was wiped out by a herd of stampeding Ankylosaurs, from then on out she was alone until she found Kuro (If thats ok) and they formed a small pack of 2.

Name: Khairna (care-nuh)
- For an accent, dire sounds gruff and silky, maybe a bit raspy, almost like a deep Russian accent
- Her name means 'shadow' or 'darkness' in her language, so doesnt like to use the full name out of respect for her pack, which she hopes to one day return to.

Personality:
I'll rp her out based on all this, simple version: Up tight, calculating, cold since leaving the island. On the island she used to be outgoing and perceptive, caring towards her packmates and respectful/honoring of old and young life, including prey. Since they reached the island, Khairna has taken on a leadership role, but still remains cold towards the other canines. She treats the dires better than the other animals, but seems to respect the larger wolves. She does know her history fairly well, but mostly it's all elders tales that they tell the pups, so she believes in none of it....the ice age stories....until now.

History:
Born and raised on a privately owned island until the owner of the island decided to go hunting on the area and encountered a small group of dire wolves. To the hunters, they were "giant as f*** wolves" and proceeded to shoot a few for trophies, killing 3 of the pack. After the rest of the pack escaped, the hunters attracted some attention from archaeologists and scientists, who announced the existence of the formerly extinct dire wolves. When a group of scientists went with the hunters to the island, they trapped as many of the giant wolves as they could before a few of the wolves started to kill each other, going mad in the cages. The scientists left the island and the island was handed over to government authorities. The pack that remains on the island has about half the number of mouths it started with before the hunters arrived, and the scientists have a few more dire wolves than they started with. After everything, the dires were being shipped overseas with wolves and large dogs that the scientists hoped to interbreed together to create more dire wolves with better genes, and maybe slightly smaller so they could handle them a bit easier, but on the boat taking them across the seas.....well you know what happened after, and that ship has already sailed. (hehe i meant to do that ;))

Weaknesses: (At Least 2)
~ Swimming; though taught how to swim and fish on the island for extra food when it was scarce or they had to let the animals repopulate, all dires are warned not to go past as far as they can wade, or you'll get swept away and even eaten by things with strangely shaped things poking out of the water (sharks).
~ Clouded judgement; thinks dires are the strongest creatures, as they are larger than both dogs, wolves, and taller at the shoulder than the 'no-furred-two-legged animals'
~ Knows nothing about today's world. Thinks the wolves are small dires and the dogs are pesky creatures with no sense of freedom. But this view of 'small dires' changes when she gets reminded of the pup stories and sees the sabers.

Family: N/A; the pack she left behind
Mate: N/A Hunters accidentally killed her mate, and the scientists had plans to match her with another dire that they had found.

Other: For those that are not familiar with dire wolves, they are basically enormous and much wolves that have been extinct for generations. They were around to coexist with early gray wolves(closest living relative), however have much more powerful jaws, larger and sturdier bones, and weigh up to 25% (proportionally) larger than modern gray wolves. Usually they are a bit slower than gray wolves, though equally adept at hunting and attacking. Khairna is 4 foot at the shoulder, and about 8 feet in length from nose to tail. Dinosaur

Name: Saber
Age: 3.5 years
Gender: Male
Species: Sabretooth cat ; smilodon populator

Personality:
Saber is ambitious, cocky, and flirty. While he is in fact extremely intelligent and well-informed, he acts the ignorant type, and few know that he's in fact a genius. His greatest strength is his extended sabretooth, which has been even longer than most other cubs since he was born, hence why he was named Saber, which at first mention might seem extremely unoriginal.

History:
Born on the dinosaur island and living among his tribe when a large fire destroyed much of their home camp. Since then he and (possibly) his brother have been searching for more tribes to join, though usually he gets both chased out of all and any they find. They stumble upon the canines a bit after the wreckage.

Strengths: (Max of 4)
+ Speed/Agility
+ Tearing things up with his 13 inch fangs
+ Knows sabre history well, extremely well versed in sabre, ice age, and the general history passed down from his ancestor's story telling. Isn't exactly sure what is fact and fiction, because even his great grandparents wouldn't have seen about 95% of the animals from the late ice age, as many ARE in fact extinct, or just aren't on the island. (ofc some are on the island)
+ Strong paws for jumping, climbing, swimming, and keeping his prey down for the count (pinning) ;)

Weaknesses: (At Least 2)
~ Extremely cynical
~ His prolonged teeth are all the more susceptible to pressure (though they are a plus when courting females)
~ Challenging to every leader he meets; gets chased out of tribes quickly unless he somehow gets the lead position

Appearance:

As an s. populator, Saber is larger than his cousins s. fatalis and ancestor s. gracilis (i do my research, some of the measurements are speculated, however, as an above average of all my findings). About 4'6'' feet tall at the shoulder, 6 feet in length from nose to bob-tail tip, 13 inch fangs, and over sized paws. He weighs in at 468 lbs.

Name: Jix
Age: around 4 or 5 years
Gender: male
Personality:
-Jix runs on a strong system of justice, but not necessarily what's morally right.
-He doesn't look at his pack for their individual needs, rather he looks at the needs of the pack overall ie 'sees the bigger picture.' Not afraid to sacrifice someone for the good of the pack.
-slightly sociopathic
-incredibly intelligent, good problem solver
-follows doggy instinct. If you beat him in a fight, you gain his respect.
-cunning, clever, untrustworthy. He's good at manipulating dogs to get what he wants

GSP, Wolfhound, and Aussie contribute the most.
History: Jix was really never more than a stray. He led a pack of dogs. These dogs ran with military precision, an almost humanlike feel, which began to garner attention from humans.
Strengths:
-He is clever, good at solving problems and figuring out how other dogs work. This, he uses to his advantage.
-Jix is around two and a half feet tall, around the waist height of the adverage human. He's a big dog
Weaknesses:
-doesn't understand other canines, good as he is at manipulating them. Again, slightly sociopathic. If he wants to play at emotions then he has to take a gamble.
-He has moments where he falters. Just for a second, he'll lose his cool. In these moments, he is most vulnerable/susceptible to attack, whether mentally or physically.
Family: Strays do as strays do. He had a mother dog and littermates. The litter, abandoned upon reaching the age where they can fend for themselves, went their separate ways.

Appearance: Jix is around two and a half feet tall. He has medium length fur, the colour of which is mainly a reddish brown, but his undercoat is silver. This creates a cinnamon-y look to his coat. Toward his feet, tail, muzzle, and ear tips, the brown of his pelt is more chocolatey.
His frame is tall and muscular, very similar to that of a wolfhound. His tail curls in an arc that almlst touches his lower back. The fur on it is a long brown color.
His eyes are a clear/blue colour.
Left ear is half folded, right is perky.
On his muzzle is a blaze of soft charcoal grey. This color is repeated in a large dot around his left eye, and a large spot on his lower back.

Personality: Suprisingly agile and intelligent she is not just an ordinary sheepdog but a faithful companion to anyone. Although she tries her best to remain detached after her previous owner sold her. She is optimistic and tries to find the best in the worst.
Breed: Puli
History: As the species originated as a Hungarian sheepdog she was bred for that exact purpose, until his owner decided to sell her, an action by which Pommie's heart was broken. She ended up on the ship after her seemingly cheerful owner shoved her in a box and dumped her in the cargo bay.
Strengths:
- Agile (you wouldn't think it but she is)
- Intelligent
- High endurance to the surroundings and weather.
Weaknesses:
- Can't see very well, she often has to follow her nose.
- Prone to heatstroke in really hot climates

Canine (Dires/Wolves/Dogs)
Name: Storm
Age: 4
Gender: male
Personality: A bit dark natured, Storm doesn't get along with others. He doesn't speak much, preferring to use his body to speak. But occasionally, he'll get attached to someone, and protect them from anything and everyone, even at the cost of his life. But its hard to gain that level of affection from him.
Breed: (Medium + Sized breed ONLY) Wolf
History: Storm and his brother were the only two to survive from their litter, and were bred as guard dogs. But Storm was too aggressive, and Light too sweet, so they were sold. Storm had expected it, but Light was heartbroken.
Strengths: (Max of 3) Excellent fighter, pretty good hunter, smart
Weaknesses: (At Least 2) horrible personality, too aggressive

Appearance: A dark gray in color, when in light, it occasionally resembles a raven's wings, in color. He has bright blue eyes, and scars marring his throat.

Personality: a sweet, cheerful male, Light loves making others happy. He draws others to him with his playfulness, but some think he is shallow due to his personality. Occassionally he may be, but he does have his dark moments, usually when being threatened or if his brother or friends are hurt.

History: same as Storm
Strengths: (Max of 3) great personality, able to put others at ease, okay hunter
Weaknesses: (At Least 2) blind in one eye, too trusting

Appearance: Almost pure white in color, and greenish yellow eyes, he's a bit of an oddball. He has a scar going down the right side of his face, and a torn right ear.
