or something like that. so females have fertility. why not males Virility? I mean if you have a male cub born from a super VLF female, and he doesn't have a mute, what's the point? What if males can now help contribute, even if only a small bit, towards the cubs' likelihood of more common mutations, with a much more slim chance of uncommon/rare mutations? Of course, it will not make it any easier for mutations. In fact, a low verility male would likely have a much harder time GETTING a female pregnant if she too has low fertility. I'm sure this won't get many supports, and I'm still fleshing everything out. But they'd have similar levels, but be less likely to pass on mutations but when paired with a VLF female and a VLV male, would be a bit more likely to pass on more uncommon/rare mutations. |

It could also affect your ability to try to breed with a female again and add a "cooldown"? ![]() |

I'd agree to that, Chevre. But there'd need to be an oasis/event item to help lessen/eliminate that cooldown, I'd think? ![]() |

I like the idea. Support A LF lion indeed will have a harder time to concieve with a lioness. ![]() |

Not sure about this one. Mainly because with females at least we still have to wait for a cooldown to breed them again to try again... But a male lion can breed an unlimited time if done on an account and weekly 15 times with the studding system. That is an awful lot of tries to get a mutation with VLF girls. I am afraid this would make breeding for mutations easier. I think it would be best if mutation chance would be taken out and the male 'fertility' would only affect the chance to get a girl pregnant. ![]() |

Axel, I can see where you're coming from, but then people with VLV studs would not be nearly as sought after. ![]() |

Maybe that would be the goal. Better make sure the male has good fertility. ![]() |

True. Let me put some more thought into that though, because I'd like there to be benefits for either side. *thinks* ![]() |

This is interesting, but I don't think it's necessary. The current difficulty level of breeding super low fertility lionesses seems about right to me, and we already have many ways to improve our chances of getting mutations, even the rare ones. ![]() Edited on 16/11/15 @ 08:13:09 by Fledgling (#25392) |
